2. FRONT COVER
To attract the target
audience I am aiming
for, I based my
magazine off of the
magazine Kerrang!
I used a colour scheme
that’s eye-catching but
also goes along with
the format and genre
of my magazine.
I used the colour scheme
of red, black, white and
grey as this is the colour
scheme used on many
other magazines that are
similar to mine. I did this
as the colours are eyecatching and will reach
the same sort of
audience that a magazine
like Kerrang! Would
reach.
I decided to make it so
this magazine was a
‘special edition’
version, therefore
making a vast majority of
the magazine dedicated
towards ‘The Official
Rock 100’. This would
attract the target
audience, especially if
they would like to see
who made the chart and
where they are.
3. CONTENTS PAGE
I chose this image for the
contents page as it looks
affective, and also appeals
to someone who likes
music, and because of the
type of gig/concert the
picture is portraying it will
attract the target audience
I am aiming to achieve.
I used the same colour
scheme as on the front
cover to continue the
format of the magazine.
I made it so the
contents lines were
the most interesting
in the magazine, and
that they are stories
that the intended
target audience would
be interested in.
For this contents page I
made it unlike normal
contents pages. This
was to make it unique;
therefore more
interesting and eyecatching.
4. DOUBLE PAGE SPREAD
To attract
my
intended
target
audience
I kept
with the
same
style
format as
I did for
the
contents
page and
front
cover.
I made it so
the title
makes the
reader want
to read the
article as
they want to
know what
it’s about. I
also made it
so the title
stands out
and
therefore
catches the
readers eye.
