Working Title: Photography of nature
What is it called? This can change if you think of something better later
Product’s Purpose: The products purpose is to for my audience to enjoy my online
portfolio and want to buy my photos for a canvas in their house or printed on a piece of
furniture. I will achieve this by advertising my online portfolio on social networks and
talking to people in order to spread the word about my work.
What is the product’s purpose (entertain/educate etc.) and how will you achieve this?
Genre: my product is revolved around different aspects of nature and different angles of
nature. My product will be based online as a portfolio and gallery for people to view.
What sort of product is it
Content The content of my product will be different aspects of nature taken with different
angles and focuses in order for each of my photos to be unique. I will include animals,
flowers, trees, the sky and different scenery around naturalistic areasthat would appeal to
my audience. I want my portfolio to be like looking through my eyes. Each photo that I take
it will have a little spin to it so that it shows my view on nature and how beautiful it can be.
What is your product about? Discuss what you would put in it (be specific). Does it have a story? If
so, discuss it here
Audience: I have decided to target my product at young adults aged between 16 and 24
because from my survey monkey results they were the highest age rage to take the survey
and have the biggest opinion on my work. I think that my psychographic will be mainly
belongers. I think this because people that are interested in this type of product are usually
very loyal to certain photographers and themed photography. I think that my product will
appeal to all genders because nature isn’t specific to genders. I think that all classes would
enjoy my work because it doesn’t matter if you’re from I first class or 3’rd class family
nature doesn’t change for class it changes for the different seasons.
Who is your audience? Be very detailed; age, gender, social status, psychographic etc
Why would your game appeal to this person?
Legal & Ethical Considerations:
Taking these things into consideration has made me realise on what I need to be careful of
when taking photos of nature. For example I need to make sure not to be disrespectful to
my surroundings when taking photos i.e make sure not to litter or take imagesof dead
animalsor insects. If other people are in the area when taking photos tell them what you are
doing so that they don’t feel uncomfortable around you. There are many photographers that
like to capture images of nature. In order for me not to get sued I will make sure that all my
images have in small letters my signature printed on the bottom of all photos to prevent
this from happening. When checking to ensure that my work follows the ASA codes I need
to make sure that all my imagesare proper and are in no way indecent to any age or
gender. The ASA codes strictly states that The basic rules for all marketing
communications are that they must be legal and honest. Never use imagesthat may be
considered indecent.
Think about any offensive material you will include?
Will you restrict younger gamers playing it?
Will it offend any social groups/religions/ethnicities?
How will you ensure you do not offend anyone?
Is your game using characters/names/logos of existing games/IPs?
Will you game be sufficiently different from existing games to not get sued for copyright
infringement?
