Product’s Purpose:
The purpose of my product will be to show people the different styles of Christmas through
my eyes and hopefully inspire other young photographers like myself to take shots of the
diversity of Christmas. I will achieve this by taking a variety of different styled shots.
What is the product’s purpose (entertain/educate etc.) and how will you achieve this?
Genre:
the genre of my product is a Christmas themed photography portfolio, it will include
traditional Christmas characters, family and friends having fun celebrating Christmas and
Christmas lights.
What sort of product is it
Content:
My product is about the beauty of Christmas and how people look forward to different
aspects of Christmas. I will take photographs of the natural side of Christmas and the main
stream style of Christmas so that my portfolio will appeal to as many people as possible.

Audience:
I want my product to appeal to as many people as possible. My portfolio won’t just attract one type
of audience; this is because I will take diversity of different style shots so that it will appeal to
children, teens, young adults, middle aged adults, and old people, both male and female. In order
for my product to appeal to a wide range of audiences I will edit photos differently to others so that
all different age ranges and genders like my product. I would like think that my product will appeal
to high class as well as middle and low class but I don’t think many high class people would buy a
young photographers work.

Legal & Ethical Considerations:
I don’t think that my Christmas portfolio will hold any offensive material because the Christmas
genre is open to all ages and celebrated all around the world. There are a few religions that don’t
celebrate Christmas, so I will try not to offend any of those religions through my Christmas
portfolio. Following up with ASA regulations my product won’t cause harm or offense to anyone,
because I will make sure not to be bias to any religions or beliefs.
