2. ⢠Primary Audience
⢠13-17 â Men
⢠This movie is about a game,
young men are more invested
statistically in games and
cinematography about games.
⢠Secondary Audience
⢠18-25 â Women
⢠When Women are gamers type I
think itâs more likely for them to
be older, although with movies
like this everyone can enjoy it.
Audience Profile
3. Audience Profile
⢠Primary Audience
⢠13-20 â Women
⢠Twilight is a very popular
romance/fantasy/drama, and has been very
popular with young women for that reason.
It was also loved because of the early set
âlove triangleâ and whoâs âteamâ you were
on for the win of Bellas affection.
⢠Secondary Audience
⢠20-30 â Women
⢠The first Twilight film came out in 2008 (as
seen on this poster) which is almost 14
years ago, meaning to a lot of older (still
young) women find this movie nostalgic
from their child/teen years.
4. Audience Profile
⢠Primary Audience
⢠18-30 Men
⢠Iâm not sure of the gender statistics for most marvel
movies, so I may be wrong when I assume there are
more male audience members. I think the gender of
the main character is a big factor on who views it, so
maybe this movie gets more male viewers than black
widow, but I would be surprised if lots of men didnât
want to see a young women in a tight suit, fighting
(unfortunately thatâs probably a big reason for a lot of
people) so itâs a confusing one.
⢠I didnât go any lower than 16 because lots of more
âimmatureâ kids donât want to watch movies that
donât have someone familiar in, aka, hulk, captain
marvel and from the trailer and poster you donât think
they are in the movie.
⢠Secondary Audience
⢠16-19 Women
⢠This movie has lots of strong women in it so I think it
would be appealing for most young women itâs also
appealing for itâs mythical world which reminds
people of nostalgic mythical, magic, movies.
5. Hypodermic Needle
⢠Definition
⢠Viewers are told about something and think itâs true, either
because the source is trusted or just because they can.
⢠Example
⢠Someone putting their belief that friends see each other all
the time on a media platform, obviously some people would
agree and some would disagree depending on how theyâve
been brought up, but it can still be damaging to viewers to be
told this.
6. Uses and Gratifications Information
⢠I use Twitter for most of the news, and if I want to find out
more I use the links that are shown to the âfull storyâ Itâs not
always a nice story but itâs important to e to know at least a
little about whatâs going on around me.
⢠I use google for advice on certain things, especially if I donât
want to ask a person or I already have and it hasnât yet
helped.
7. Uses and Gratifications Personal
Identity
⢠I watch a lot of comedians, and most of the ones I like have a
more, political, dark, but still funny show layout. I often agree
with all their opinions (or at least most) no matter how big or
small, reminding me Iâm not the only one who thinks that way.
Itâs easy to feel outnumbered when youâve been brought up in
a certain way surrounded by certain people. So I think thatâs a
large part of the reinforcement of my beliefs.
8. Uses and Gratifications Integration and
Social Interaction
⢠Thereâs a lot of communities made in social media,
either fans of a certain person or thing, or in a
certain minority. I donât always agree with the
communities way of dealing with âoutsidersâ but
when theyâre nice it can be really fulfilling being with
people who like the same things, it personally makes
me feel less alone with my âobsessionsâ
9. Uses and Gratifications Entertainment
⢠It's easy to escape reality with apps and tv these days. TikTok is one of the
most popular apps in the world and has been for a while with an
estimated 1 billion monthly users. I use TikTok a lot to escape nerves or
anxiety or boredom, I don't think it's the healthiest option, but it helps
me.
⢠I've never had a TV license, but I've always watched things on, Netflix,
Amazon Prime Video, Disney+, Channel 4, etc. As someone with a passion
towards cinematography and all its ins and outs I try to watch as much as I
can, not only for the learning experience of every scene, and character
and camera position but to also escape the same way I do with TikTok and
other apps
10. Consumer Generated Content
⢠Example
⢠TikTok
⢠What are the advantages to media producers?
⢠Not as much work for the corporation/business
⢠Known that if you do it well enough you can end up with a lot of money.
⢠Why would the audience generate content?
⢠It's fun
⢠It's a way to express your opinions and feelings whether that's to
millions or tens it doesn't matter.
11. Psychographics
⢠Belongers
⢠A Hydro Flask
⢠In 2020 there was a massive trend on TikTok
about a stereotype of a "trendy" "mainstream" girl
later named a "VSCO girl" they were made fun of
a lot for just saying and buying certain things,
most popularly the Hydro flask.
⢠Achievers
⢠High-end fasion
It's often that people with a lot of money
that they don't use on more "useful" things
buy more materialistic things, in this case
I'm going to say expensive fashion choices such as
Branded bags.
⢠Emulators
⢠Giveaways, Ads for cheap, expensive looking things
⢠I think these sorts of people would be on social media a lot,
12. Psychographics
Balanced
Charity events, and Charity funding.
There's many different Charities that do events and or need more funds,
me of the people give to existing charities
ut some make their own which they can make more personally specific.
hese people are pulled in by the thought of helping others,
hich has its pros and cons but overall helps a lot of people.
Needs Driven
Flash sales, time limited deals.
Now that this person has money, they feel the need to spend it on
n-necessary "deals"
aybe if they grew up in poverty,
ey are emulating the need to use up coupons and
eals when they were younger and adding it to their more
ivileged life now even when they don't need to.
Socially Conscious
A: They're attracted to ads and videos that
ow them what or how to gift/help others.
Very selfless, almost to a fault, meaning they
ll put a lot of work in to make others happy.
