This proposal is for a magazine called "The Exceed" that would educate and slightly entertain readers about video games. The magazine would feature concept art and music from games, with a DOOM background and title at the top. Each issue would cover game content, voices actors, and artists. The target audience is teenage and adult male gamers who want to learn more about games. The magazine content focuses on war games and role-playing games and does not intend to offend any groups. While inspired by existing magazines, the written content is original and does not infringe on any copyrights.

Working Title:
The Exceed
What is it called? This can change if you think of something better later
Product’s Purpose:
Educate and slightly entertain
What is the product’s purpose (entertain/educate etc.) and how will you achieve this?
Genre:
Magazine cover
What sort of product is it
Content
It is about games and concept art and maybe music from games, probably a DOOM picture in the
background with the title at the top of the piece and there will be a bar at the bottom including what
will be covered in the magazine and a few other things like maybe a voice actor’s or artists picture.
What is your product about? Discuss what you would put in it (be specific). Does it have a story? If
so, discuss it here
Audience:
Teenagers and upward who are still enjoying or would like to start playing games and it is more
likely to appeal to males who are gamers and it would appeal to these sort of people because it is
about video games and you wouldn’t buy a videogame magazine if you didn’t want to learn or get
into gaming.
Who is your audience? Be very detailed; age, gender, social status, psychographic etc
Why would your project appeal to this person?
Legal & Ethical Considerations:
Think about any offensive material you will include?
Will you restrict younger people using/accessing it?
Will it offend any social groups/religions/ethnicities?
How will you ensure you do not offend anyone?
Are you using characters/names/logos of existing products/IPs?
Will you product be sufficiently different from existing products to not get sued for copyright
infringement?
There won’t be any offensive material unless handling a weapon. No I wouldn’t restrict younger
people from buying it as it would inform people about the games they want to learn about. It
shouldn’t be able to offend any ethnicities, religions or social groups. As far as my material goes it
will only be about war games simulations, roleplaying games or RPG’s. No I am not using anyone
else’s idea except for layout which is taken from a mixture of EDGE and PLAYSTATION’S
magazines but everything else is alright.
