Working Title
What is it called? This can change if you think of something better later
Perils of a Party. I like the alliteration because it sounds catchy. I was looking for a more
sophisticated term like masquerade for example but I couldn’t find any alliteration that would work
for this title.
Product’s Purpose:
What is the product’s purpose (entertain/educate etc.) and how will you achieve this?
Movie trailer: Show what the film might be like. It’s for entertainment, wanting to ‘wow’ the
audience, which would make them want to watch the film.
Poster: Promote the film. I created 2 posters. 1st one was the original idea, which I then developed
into the 2nd idea.
Invitation: Hype up the film. To generate interest. Select people would receive it, possibly through
mailing lists. People who would be suspicious and have UV lights would see more on the
invitation.
Genre:
What sort of product is it
Murder mystery movie.
Content
What is your product about? Discuss what you would put in it (be specific). Does it have a story? If
so, discuss it here
A party guest being murdered, and people are trying to figure out who did it. I would put stressful
scenes, tense music and lighting to generate paranoia and suspicion. I leave the story vague so
that people can form their own ideas about the film. I’d start off with fun and bright scenes, but
slowly going darker as the movie continues.
Audience:
Who is your audience? Be very detailed; age, gender, social status, psychographic etc
Why would your project appeal to this person? People should be equal, a film made for all, not
specific groups.
15-40, any gender, C2, D and E, Needs driven, any sexuality.
I believe people of these will enjoy this as it’s simple to follow along, but can be expansive
if they wish to know more.
Legal & Ethical Considerations:
Think about any offensive material you will include? Some mild language, bot nothing too
offensive. Murder but not graphic. Murder weapon for a few scenes. Suspense.
Will you restrict younger people using/accessing it? Nobody under 12 unless being viewed with
parents
Will it offend any social groups/religions/ethnicities? Anything considered to be offensive will be
removed, and will be double checked by others.
How will you ensure you do not offend anyone? Will not add offensive comments.
Are you using characters/names/logos of existing products/IPs? Cliché names perhaps, but no
relevance to real life people.
Will you product be sufficiently different from existing products to not get sued for copyright
infringement? Trying to break stereotypes by having a female detective, and being original to avoid
certain clichés.
