Working Title: haunted territory
What is it called? This can change if you think of something better later
Product’s Purpose: its to entertain viewers and I will achieve this because I will be targeting
on the technical middle class as they have more time to themselves to play a game and it
will have many levels to pass so it will get obsessive to play and get to the highest level.
What is the product’s purpose (entertain/educate etc.) and how will you achieve this?
Genre: 8 bit game, this is an action/ mystery genre
What sort of product is it
Content: my product is about a guy or woman chasing ghosts on a train. When the
character hops on a train they stop off at an old underground train station so they have to
kill the ghosts and be the heroes of the town.
What is your product about? Discuss what you would put in it (be specific). Does it have a story? If
so, discuss it here
Audience: mix audience, boys/girls have to be older than 10 because it has a little violence
in it but not graphic. The social status is technical middle class and the psychographic is
balanced as its aimed at boys/men but the females can play it too. It will appeal to these
people because they Is violence and dark colours and trains are stereotypical to males.
Who is your audience? Be very detailed; age, gender, social status, psychographic etc
Why would your project appeal to this person?
Research and Planning: the research of existing products helped me get ideas of a train
game and how to set out the game plan. And the initial plans I wanted to do a shooting
game as i wanted a male audience and not a female audience .
What elements of your research and planning will you use in your final production?
Where will you use your research and planning in your final production?
Legal & Ethical Considerations:
Think about any offensive material you will include? No they will be no words to offend anyone.
Will you restrict younger people using/accessing it? Yes but only younger than 10 as they is a
little bit of violence but not graphic violence.
Will it offend any social groups/religions/ethnicities? No it won’t.
How will you ensure you do not offend anyone? Before the game starts I will say sorry if this
game may offend anyone but I will be careful how I plan my game out and respect anyones
belief and social group. If people get offended about the restricted genders I am sorry but I
can’t make loads of characters to suit your gender.
Are you using characters/names/logos of existing products/IPs? No they are my own ideas
Will you product be sufficiently different from existing products to not get sued for copyright
infringement?
Yes my ideas are different to existing products, I won’t get sued for copyright,
