uplifting, helping the audience to engage with my product more because it’s set in a happy
environment.

Content
What is your product about? Discuss what you would put in it (be specific). Does it have a story? If
so, discuss it here
My product, which includes an animation, short trailer and a poster will involve 2 human
side characters and the main character will be played by a cat. The story starts with a view
of a living room with a cat sleeping on the sofa. Two people come into the room, saying
goodbye to the cat. They both end up getting ready to leave and exiting the house. As soon
as they leave, the cat wakes up and listening to them leaving. Once they’ve disappeared,
the cat presses the TV remote, and the TV turns on. The animation continues with the cat
switching between different channels before eventually landing on one which involves
dogs barking. The cat jumps up in fear before the animation abruptly ends.
Audience:
Who is your audience? Be very detailed; age, gender, social status, psychographic etc
Why would your project appeal to this person?
My product is directed at 13–18-year-olds and femalesmight engage with it more because
of the characters. Anyone who fits into the belongers category could come across my
product from friends or family, sharing it between the people they know and wanting to stay
updated with what’s new. My product is not going to cost any money which means people
in the lower class will be able to view it easily.
Research and Planning:
What elements of your research and planning will you use in your final production?
Where will you use your research and planning in your final production?
The research I did to find out about different games was useful to help me come up with
new ideasand think about how my animation should look, for example what sort of colours
I should use and what style I should have for it. The survey also let me receive feedback
from others on their preferences, letting me see the most popular result and adding it into
my product to appeal to more people. The planning was a good starter to help me plan what
I should put into my product and think about, like colour palettes, sound effects, characters
etc. I am making a note on all of this because it is useful to look back on in case I might’ve
missed anything.

Legal & Ethical Considerations:
Think about any offensive material you will include?
Will you restrict younger people using/accessing it?
Will it offend any social groups/religions/ethnicities?
How will you ensure you do not offend anyone?
Are you using characters/names/logos of existing products/IPs?
Will you product be sufficiently different from existing products to not get sued for copyright
infringement?
My product is suitable for all ages, and I will make sure it doesn’t include any offensive
material by making sure the characters outfits/designs, backgrounds, audio and any text
that will be seen to not go against any social groups, religions or ethnicities. To avoid this
issue, I will only use a variety of colours and won’t include things like text and images for
the designs on clothes for example. To further ensure I don’t offend anyone, gaining
feedback from my work is also something I can do.
