Toolbar
• A row of icons on screen that
set commands or functions in
motion when clicked.
Objects Toolbar
• Contains the most commonly
used features in creating
publications.
FUNCTIONS OF TOOLBAR
BUTTONS
1. Select Objects
• Used to pick objects, lines,
shapes, text boxes and
graphics in the work area.
2. Text Box
• Used to draw a text box with
a horizontal text direction on
the area where you click or
drag.
3. Insert Table
• Allows you to insert table
where you can specify the
number of columns and rows,
including the table format.
4. Insert WordArt
• Creates text effects by
inserting a Microsoft drawing
object.
5. Picture Frame
• Inserts a frame or box where
an existing picture in the
active file can be placed.
6. Clip Organizer Frame
• Opens the Insert Clipart task
pane, where you can search
for an clipart image you want
to put in your file.
7. Arrow Tool
• Inserts a line with an
arrowhead, in the place where
you click or drag in the active
window.
8. Line Tool
• Draws a straight line where
you click and drag in the
active window.
9. Oval Tool
• Draws and oval where you
click and drag in the active
window.
10. Rectangle tool
• Draws a rectangle where you
click and drag in the active
window.
11. AutoShapes
• A group of readymade shapes
that include basic shapes
such as rectangles and
circles.
12. Hot Spot
• Clicking this button opens the
Insert Hyperlink dialog box.
13. Design Gallery Object
• Opens the design gallery
window that allows you to
choose by category the
designs you want to use.
