From the participants who took my survey I have concluded that the majority of
my target audience will be women. This gives me the idea to focus my magazine
more towards woman however I need to make sure I have some contents that
will appeal to the male gender also.
My survey shown me that the majority of peoples favourite music genre is Indie,
closely followed by pop. This gives me an idea to focus my magazine on an indie
genre as it’s what most people prefer.

From my survey I have found that the majority of my target audience do not
buy their music from iTunes and are alternatively downloading it illegally. This is
interesting to know to my magazine as I could feature an article about
downloading music illegally and the affect it has on the music industry.
Surprisingly from the survey I have found out that most people do not buy
music magazines and if they do it would be quarterly. This makes me aware not
to make a weekly music magazine as people do not want to buy one every week.
Also it shows me I have to pay close attention to what my target audience want
to see in the magazine so it appeals to them to buy.

These bar charts is showing that the majority of people who took my survey
said that ‘NME’ magazine is what they would most likely go out and buy from a
shop. From seeing that NME magazine is most popular I can look more closely at
the style and content that my target audience enjoy reading.
This scatter graph shows that the majority of people who took my survey listen
to their music ion their phone or through YouTube.

My survey revealed that more of my target audience prefer to download their
music illegally from online instead of actually going out and buying the CD.
The majority of people I surveyed said they attended live music performances
moderately often as shown by the bar chart above. This has given me the idea
that my music magazine should feature information about different live gigs as
my target audience will be interested in this.

This bar chart of results from my survey has given me the idea on what the
content of my magazine should be. My target audience have said that the images
of artists and bands and exclusive interviews are what would make them
purchase a music magazine, therefore I will keep this in mind while designing my
magazine.
Evaluation
Overall my survey has given me my target audience of woman aged 16-21. I have
also concluded the sort of contents my magazine will contain which is helpful as
I can focus fully on what will appeal to my target audience.
