2. Women
• My final media product represents a young female social
group. I decided to keep my colour scheme stereotypically
feminine colours, I chose mainly pinks, purples and pastels
as these colours portray female innocence.
• I have used a very natural ‘girl next door’
looking model for my front cover as I want to
present woman in a classy real way. I want my
young target audience to look up to someone
with a more natural and achievable beauty as
opposed to the over photo shopped model
pictures in similar generic magazines.
3. Age
• The age group I have targeted for my magazine is young teens aged 13-
17. I feel the content of my magazine reflects this well as I have used
very informal language through out my articles subheadings and quotes.
It has very light hearted content which makes it more suitable and
relatable for my target audience.
• Also the article is interviewing a young teen girl, and represents her to
be a polite ordinary girl which means my target audience will further
make my magazine personal and relatable for the readers.
4. Social Group
• The social group I have tried to represent through my final magazine
product is working class. I have tried to do this through the content
and topics I have discussed with the artist I am interviewing about also
being from a very working class background and the struggles she had
to go through to get where she is represents the working class to be
hard working.
• The imagery of my magazine also represents the working class due to
the style of my modals. They are all dressed in high street clothes in
contrast to some magazine that have high fashion which alienates the
audience . However I feel by having the ‘girl next door’ look
represents the standard working class teen girl and makes the readers
be able to identify with the models in my magazine.
