The document summarizes the sound design techniques used in the Battlefield 3 game soundtrack. For a cutscene setting a war environment, the male narrator's voice was likely recorded in a sound booth using a clear microphone. Background noises like constant beeping to represent a bomb were added using audio editing software to adjust pitch and volume. The tense mood is conveyed through the beeping and knocking sounds. The action game genre is indicated by the inclusion of pistol cocking sounds. Overall, the soundtrack uses voice recordings and digital audio editing techniques to set the mood of aftermath and tension through the mix of narration and background noises.

been used to create specific soundtrack elements
Setting
The setting is a war environment where there is a battle going on as I can hear the
charactersays it in the cut scene. There is only a male character through the cut
scene. The character sounds like they‘re currently talking after the war between
them and the other soldiers as he is talking in past tense but the background noise is
a constant beeping, like a bomb.
I think that the production techniques used for
this cut scene is possibly a sound booth and a
clear microphone to create the sounds off the
male character speaking 0:01-1:32 and the sound
off the pistol cogging at 1:17.
Mood
At the beginning there is the sound off a male voice narrating over it to set the
mood, from 0:34-1:32 there is a beeping noise in the background sounding like a
bomb making the mood quite tense. The mood stays tense throughout the cut
scene with the same sounds throughout the cut scene.
I think audio editing software has been used to
adjust to the pitch and volume, at 1:12 there is a
knock on the door and at 1:17The sound changes
to a pistol cogging.
Game genre
Action/Adventure/RPG, The game genre sounds like it’s an action game because you
can hear apistol cogging in the scene showing there is violence.
The voice over is clear and sound s like a quality
microphone was used for the voices off the
characters as they come across crisp and clear.
Narrative
The narrative off this scene is the ending between a feud between human soldiers
and others and how it has left people dead and injured like the rest. How the music
conveys the aftermath (bomb bleeping) the music details the feeling in the room is
tense and panicky feeling.
The techniques off the music I think are that they
use a sound programme to use the pitch
adjustment on the beeping in the background so
it’s quiet and able to hear the narrator as well as
the cogging and door knocking.
