Moderates In French Revolution
Moderates Placing the need of stability over revolutionary reform, the moderates fail to solve the very
everyday issues that the oppressed majority revolted for. Although they have the power to kickstart the
revolution, coming from the better status from the old order; moderates eventually disappoint the
crowd because they do not fully implement the changes they have promised. Moderate groups, such as
France s National Assembly, promote equality among the people but forgot to give themselves enough
power to execute reforms because they are equal to everyone else. The very first articles of the
Declaration of Rights of Man and Citizen, passed by the National Assembly in August 1789,
proclaims Men are born and remain free and equal in rights

The s Control Theory And Merton s Strain Theory Essay
On the sunny day of June 4, 2014 in Monkton, New Brunswick, 24 year old Justin Bourque loaded his
rifle, drove his truck to a local gas station, and brutally murdered 3 RCMP officers. In the aftermath of
this shocking crime, criminologists ask themselves two questions: why did this happen, and even more
importantly, how can we prevent it from happening again? Hirschi s Control Theory and Merton s
Strain Theory suggest that Bourque s failure to properly bond with our society and his inability to
succeed within it directly led to the most extreme form of social deviance: murder. Considered one of
the worst crimes in Canadian history (The Canadian Press, 2014), on the day of June 4, 2016, 24 year
old Justin Bourque of Moncton, New Brunswick killed three RCMP officers, Const. Fabrice
Gevauden, Const. Dave Ross, and Const. Douglas Larche. As well as seriously injuring Const. Eric
Dubois and Const. Darlene Goguen. (Daily Gleaner, 2014) After shooting the officers, a thirty hour
man chase ensued until Bourque was finally captured. Once in captivity, Bourque was questioned
about his motives and eventually admitted to the interrogators that [he] wanted to set fire to three or
four gas stations and then sit, shoot and scoot. [Bourque] would have taken more Mounties down and
just kept going from there (CBC Television, 2014) Bourque lived alone in a trailer park after leaving
his family home two years previous and it was noted by family members that Bourque s emotional and

Loss In When Great Trees Fall, And The Raven
Perhaps they are not stars in the sky, but rather openings where our loved shine down to let us know
they are happy. Inuit Saying. Loss can be very difficult to deal with and even more difficult to recover
from. The authors of both When Great Trees Fall, by Maya Angelou, and The Raven, by Edgar Allan
Poe, know this and show it in their pieces. The Raven, by Edgar Allan Poe was written in 1845 is
about a man who has lost his love and is visited by a raven. The raven reminds him of his lost loved
one and he suffers. When Great Trees Fall, by Maya Angelou was written in 2006 is about the effects
of someone s death on others. The authors believe that loss can take a part of our life away and that it s
very hard for people to get that back. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It can tear a person up from the inside until they are unrecognizable. Both authors of the poem know
this, but they also know that if you recover from loss, then the memory of that person will make you
stronger. The poem, When Great Trees Fall, by Maya Angelou talks about how reality, bound to them,
takes leave of us, (When Great Trees Fall) when someone passes. This means that the person who lost
someone can be broken on the inside so much that they cannot be repaired. Edgar Allan Poe talks
about the same thing in his poem by having the character crying out to the raven that, thy God hath
lent thee by these angels he hath sent thee. Respite respite and nepenthe from thy memories of Lenore;
(The Raven) The man talking to the raven felt extreme sorrow, so he thought that God sent the raven
in order to make him suffer through the memories of his lost one. The themes of both poems are very
similar, but they are also a little bit different from each other. The Raven talks mostly about the pain of
a loss and it talks very little about recovery. When Great Trees Fall talks mostly about the recovery of
loss and how, Spaces fill with a kind of soothing electric vibration. Our senses, restored, never to be
the same, (When Great Trees Fall) When Great Trees Fall includes recovery in their theme
consistently, while The Raven does not incorporate recovery in their theme

Personal Progression of Public Speaking Essay
In life, we rarely have the chance for a do over, but I feel like returning to college is mine. Throughout
high school, my grades were never above average and until about a couple of years ago I considered
myself to be unintelligent. What I failed to see was my level of commitment. Once I began applying
myself, the grades earned reflected that. This concept coincides to my public speaking ability. Many
students, including myself, walk into a speech class thinking that it will be the Easy A of the semester
and quite frankly I devoted a good amount of time and hard work to earn my A s and B s for this
course. Overall, my public speaking growth in terms of listenability were influenced by the following:
the strategy keys in correctly engaging ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The art speech was not necessarily my best moment when it came to audience analysis. I should have
followed through with making the speech less about the assignment and more about who I was
presenting it to. The dragon and persuasive speech probably would have been better had I not had so
much information, I really saw how it affected the way I looked as far as confidence was concerned.
Looking at my personal anecdote speech I think that was my shining moment. I am not only saying
that because of the grade I received, but because I owned the material and it showed. As far as
maintaining ethos, I would have to say that was during my informative speech. I felt like I knew what
I was talking about in the dragon speech more at the Q A than during the speech, but during my energy
drink presentation I really had the material down. During the self evaluations I know that I properly
analyze what I did wrong, though I am not sure I was able to fix everything I set out to. Strategically
speaking, I have a ways to go with choosing a topic, learning how to control my nervous energy, and
to avoid excluding my audience should investigate more efficiently.
Structure is casually called the bones of the speech. I thought I already had understood structure, but
when it came to public speaking I struggled by thinking of the speeches in a literary sense rather than
as a conversation. My dialog started flowing

Safety And Prevention Of Central Line Blood Stream Infections
Safety and Prevention of Central Line Blood Stream Infections
Shelbie N. Langless
Tidewater Community College
With all the traffic continuously moving through the hospital it is important to make sure that infection
control and safety are always being taken into consideration. There are several infections that can be
acquired in the hospital setting, but one of the most prevalent is a central line associated blood stream
infections (CLABSI). A CLABSI is a primary bloodstream infection (that is, there is no apparent
infection at another site) that develops in a patient with a central line in place within the 48 hour
period before onset of the bloodstream infection that is not related to infection at another site (The
Joint Commission, 2015, CLABSI Toolkit Introduction). With that being said, a central line is a long
catheter that accesses a major vein in the body that leads to the heart. Central lines can be used for
drawing blood and administration of medicine and blood products.
Nurses Role In Safety Nurses play various different roles during their career; depending on the patient
they re providing care for. The roles of the nurse include, but aren t limited to, caregiver,
communicator, teacher, and patient advocate. In order to ensure patients are receiving quality care,
nurses must first make sure they are using safe practice. Communicating with other health
professionals while serving as a patient advocate is essential when keeping the patient

Ephany In The Destructors
Henry Graham Greene wrote many stories that express epiphany that brings one to realize a powerful
truth. Greene continues this theme into his short story The Destructors as he expresses his view of the
instability of post World War II in England. The boys in the story have lost their innocence having
forced to give up their childhood to the bombings and destruction of war. The boys reflect the trauma
England experienced in the war and the drastic changes made after the war. Forced to give up their
childhood and innocence, the boys turn to causing mischief in town, along with destroying a specific
house. This house in The Destructors, symbolizes England after World War II. The house represents
post war England as it is described as the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Similar to after the war, the younger generations did not feel connected to the past as did the older
generation. The new leader of the gang, T., shares his desire to destroy the house that has stayed still
among many fallen homes in the community. Although T. directly states he doesn t hate Mr. Thomas,
he blatantly disrespects Mr. Thomas by destroying his money and destroying his beautiful house. T
states the money they find will be burned, We aren t thieves, he says to Blackie as they finish their
destruction of the house (94). T. doesn t want to steal the money for his own benefit or destroy the
house for fun, he wants to destroy any hope for the older man. As Mr. Thomas climbs over the garden
fence to help the boys he says, Been a boy myself. As long as things are done regular, (97). Mr.
Thomas is old and does things by tradition or by the book, unlike the gang who decides to bypass the
rules of common courtesy and make their own choices as children. The boys actions are similar to
how the opposing side of England in the war as the younger generation came to into power, they
wanted more power and went against the treaties created from the previous war and started World War

The Problem With National Breast Cancer Awareness Month
The Real Awareness of Pink Ribbon Month: A critique of Robin Hilmantel s The Problem with
National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Even though breast cancer is an important issue in today s
society and there are different organizations and charities that raise money for breast cancer; the pink
ribbon is something that causes a variety of problems. In her article The Problem with National Breast
Cancer Awareness Month, Robin Hilmantel makes an effective argument and uses pathos to reach out
to women by showing the perspective of a real person who was suffering from breast cancer, as well
as use symbolism to argue how the pink ribbon is being used in a misguided way. However, she does
not have a well developed thesis and her evidence does not present any citation or where she got the
information from which gives doubts on her credibility. Hilmantel begins her article with a statement
that catches the audience s attention and makes them think about the pink ribbon movement that
occurs every October; but she does not introduce her thesis until she mentions her argument which is
that there is a problem in how the pink ribbon is being represented in the National Breast Cancer
Awareness Month. She first starts with a story of a young woman named Kate Petrides, who did not
expect to ever have breast cancer at her age. Throughout the article Hilmantel talks about how the
awareness of breast cancer has had different responses to people. Hilmantel says that different

Midsummer Night s Dream And Disney s Aladdin
There s different genres of movies, plays, and stories. Horror, fantasy, tragedy, comedy, romance,
mystery, etc. In these genres are different plots to each story, each ending differently. However the
stories all follow the same set of elements depending on its genre. These elements separate the genres
from each other, a happy ending doesn t occur in a tragedy but is seen in comedy. Romance can end in
a tragedy or with a happy ending. Modern or centuries old, each genre use these elements, whether the
writers realize it. For example, comedy has plenty of elements that are used, although not all are
applied but most are. Shakespeare s Midsummer Night s Dream and Disney s Aladdin are good
examples of this. In Midsummer Night s Dream, the story starts with Theseus, duke of Athens,
engaged to Hippolyta, queen of the Amazons. While preparing for their wedding, Theseus is
confronted by Egeus, who brings criticism about his daughter Hermia, who refuses his wishes to
marry Demetrius, for she is in love with Lysander. Egeus demands that either Hermia respects his
wishes or be punished by the Athenian law. While Hermia is in love with Lysander and vice versa,
Demetrius is in love with Hermia and ignores Helena, Hermia s childhood friend, unrequited love.
While this is going on, in the forest where the fairies live there is also a situation. Oberon, the king of

Concussions In Hockey
Many people believe that hockey is too dangerous of a sport to play, but there are many rules and
regulations to keep people in the game safe. Although people argue that hockey is one of the most
dangerous sports, the concussion rate in hockey is lower than football, there are more injuries in
basketball and football, and there are rules and regulations to keep players safe.
Even though hockey has a high concussion rate, football players get more concussions than those who
play hockey. Headcasecompany.com says In football there are about 64 76.8 concussions per 100,000
exposures where hockey has only about 54 . (Sports Concussions). This is stating that football, being
more dangerous than hockey, has about 10 20 more concussions per 100,000 athlete exposures.

How Are Dominate Women Presented in A View from the...
The plays, A Streetcar Named Desire and A View from the Bridge, focus on the theme of domination
of the female characters through the writer s habit of literacy techniques such as imagery and realism
to add the typical tragedy that follows in both plays where the main character dies at the end and each
playwright uses their own method to manipulate their point of view or opinion of the play s plot to the
audience members. In Williams A Streetcar Named Desire, its form of a Southern Gothic enables the
playwright to base the play on sexual identity and judgement and the female characters all experience
their struggle to liberate from their current position. For example, Blanche is notably known for her
situation The polka dot which ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Unlike typical tragedies, Miller focuses the play on the working class to express their common
attributes to their society as were the Greek tragedies that focused on royalty and the society in the
play left women feeling subjugated by the men. For instance, when Beatrice asks Eddie whether you
gonna keep in the house all her life? The assertive tone of the rhetorical question shows the support
that Catherine has from Beatrice and reflects her struggle to be free from Eddie s grip. The usage of
the pathos evokes pity towards the audience as they would be pitiful towards Catherine. Furthermore,
Catherine is another female in A View from the Bridge who is subjugated by Eddie. In the beginning
of act one, Eddie mentions Catherine s new dress, saying that heads are turnin like windmills. The
systolic device enables the playwright to create the epitome of sexual attraction to the audience
members and shows the dominance in Eddie s office. The presentation of the domination in A
Streetcar Named Desire is shown by the aggressive and dominant tone that is inflicted to the female
characters by the men. In scene two, Stanley asks Stella How about my supper, huh? The tone created
by the inquiry reflects the perception of gender roles in the American Society. Another example of the
aggressive and dominant tone shown in A Streetcar Named Desire is where Stanley authorizes Stella
to Turn it off [the radio]! The frustration that is being built up

The Global Education And Skills Forum
How would a person feel living in a country that they are forced to live in a that is not their own?
These people have left their homelands in search of a better life in Europe. When these refugees have
finally been granted asylum in Germany life is still difficult for them in that they struggled to obtain
job and an education in Germany . Even worse off are the children who are not able to obtain an
education .These people risk their lives on the perilous journey to Europe and once they arrive they do
not have the basic needs to support themselves and their families . Children make up almost 51% of
all Syrian refugees entering Europe . (The Global Education Skills Forum) . However, three million
Syrian children do not attend school on regular basis .Although many refugees have survived the
harsh conditions on their journey to Germany ,there needs to be an increase in the number of refugee
children being allowed to obtain an education in Germany because these children often face many
barriers on their struggle for education.
The root of educational problems of Syrian children is caused by the Syrian Civil War . The civil war
has been going on since 2010 and More than five years after it began, the full blown civil war has
killed over 250,000 people, half of whom are believed to be civilians (Mercy Corps). It often hard for
these people to obtain food and medical aid because where the live is war zone. To

Gross Income Implications For The Individual Who Accepted...
Gross Income implications for the individual who accepted the bribe:
The definition of gross income per section 1 of the Income Tax Act for any resident is:
the total amount
in cash or otherwise
received by, or accrued to, or in favour of such resident
during such year or period of assessment
excluding receipts and accruals of a capital nature
The bribe of R300 000 meets all the aforementioned requirements of the gross income definition
except for whether or not the amount has been received by the senior official during the year of
assessment ending 28 February 2015.
The gross income definition requirement of received by is not defined in the Income Tax Act and
therefore the following case law principles will be applied in determining whether the bribe, being
illegal income, should be included in the individuals gross income for the current year of assessment.
Cases:
An amount is received by a tax payer if the taxpayer intended to receive the amount for his own
benefit irrespective of the legality(legal or illegal) of such amounts (MP Finance Group CC v CSARS
(2007)).
The source of income, legal or illegal, is irrelevant in determining if an amount constitutes gross
income. Moreover, illegal receipts are taxable(CIR v Delagoa Bay Cigarette Co)
In order to constitute a receipt for normal tax purposes, the taxpayer must have received the amount
on his own benefit and for his own behalf (Geldenhuys v CIR).
It can be deduced using the above

The Business Model Of Like Uber
DoorDash, like Uber, is an example of yet another Peer to Peer business model; this one takes orders
and delivers food via company drivers. In other words, DoorDash takes food from restaurants and
delivers it to the consumer, thereby eliminating the relationships between restaurants and clients. To
that end, DoorDash operates not only as a customer acquisition company, but also as a logistics
company focused on food delivery. DoorDash is disrupting the old way that food is delivered to
customers by interjecting an intermediary.
In addition, while DoorDash only focuses on food delivery at present, it plans to expand to non food
areas and use its logistical delivery infrastructure to deliver anything to anyone in the future. With

Having a Strong Technical Team
In the story of this company, its CEO Xu said, to make one delivery successful there s fifteen small
things you have to get correct, which is shocking. This is true because the company must consider
every detailed problem like the most appropriate time to arrive at each restaurant. These optimization
problems make it difficult to make delivery times more efficient and satisfactory to customers. To
solve this problem, the company hires a team of engineers to build a high functioning online system.
This system allows DoorDash to obtain and keep customers and therefore obtain more business. A
strong technical team is crucial for any peer to peer business model like DoorDash.
Using Contract Workers
Food delivery is not the same as other delivery service because it has limited peak times. Most food
deliveries happen during mealtimes. Due to this fact, DoorDash uses contract workers instead of full
time employees. Therefore, it smartly and efficiently reduces the labor costs without hurting the
quality of the service.

As mentioned before, DoorDash focuses on customer experience and consumer need in the short term.

A Report On Early Spring Planting
Early spring planting is a great way to enjoy an abundance of early produce that normally wouldn t be
available until the late spring or early summer. Many smaller gardens can be started indoors with
setups as simple as a few herb seeds in a windowsill planter or as complex as a multi light hydroponic
system. One of the most common mistakes that happen with starting your spring garden indoors is
stating too early. Conditions must be timed exactly right so that as the indoor plant becomes ready for
transplanting to a full bed, the conditions outside will at least allow transplanting the now grown
seedlings to cold frames. Once the weather turns and the last frost has gone, the cold frames are
removed and the plants will be well on there way to a quick spring start. This can give you the chance
in some areas to allow for two or even three growing seasons throughout the year. Simple systems and
complex indoor growing operations all have one thing in common; they need light. Without sunlight
through a windowsill or high powered light bulbs, plants just won t grow. In fact very few organisms
can survive without sunlight, and those that do live in the sea or caves. A good source of light is
crucial to the success of starting your spring garden indoors. When starting from seeds, you ll need to
germinate them first. Most seeds can be started in simple containers like paper cups, but some prefer
peat cups or biodegradable cups. The choice doesn t matter so long as they are

Canada s Most Appreciated Peacekeeping Country
က唠枧Most Appreciated Peacekeeping Country Some people believe that Canada is not a main
contributor towards peacekeeping in the world; these statements are false and lack knowledge.
Peacekeeping was not a famous topic until the 1950 s and the cold war. Peacekeeping would not be as
important and well known if it was not for the contribution of Canada towards Peacekeeping. Canada
s part as a peacekeeper for the world started in the 1950 s by Lester Pearson (a Canadian researcher,
statesman, a trooper, and a representative). Peacekeeping had started and became well known when
the Suez Crisis occurred. Canada is known, as the Peacekeeping country because Canada was a main
contributor to begin peacekeeping, maintaining peace around the world when it was required, and
Canada is the country known for peace for the world and for the future. Canada has continuously
contributed more than enough towards peacekeeping from 1945 to the present. Canada has arranged
many forces for UN missions; has been involved in peacekeeping all over the world. Today, Canada is
a symbol for peace in the future, and has helped to start peacekeeping. Peacekeeping is the
maintenance of international peace security by the deployment of military forces in a particular area
but Peacemaking is the practical conflict transformation focused upon establishing equitable power
relationships robust enough to forestall future conflict. Canada was the country to start helping with
peacekeeping worldwide. Canada

Aristotle s View Of Ownership
Everyone has a different view of what ownership is, and what it does to a person. For many, owning
something is thought of as possessing a physical object that can be called yours, though it can be much
more. Plato says that the idea and act of owning anything is harmful to someone as a person. Aristotle
has a brighter outlook, saying that the act of owning something is beneficial to a person. While Sartre
claims that the idea of ownership goes beyond simply having an object, and can apply to things that
don t actually exist. While all of these views are valid, with each being able to hold it s own ground, it
is up to the listener of the three to figure out and justify which applies best to them.
Support 1: Plato say s that the sense of owning ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He says that someone can own more than physical objects. That people can own a skill, or idea along
side physical things, never saying what this does to a person. This thought of being able to own idea s
can be easily seen in copyright and patents, where a persons pays for their idea to not be legally used
by others. To put it simply, Sartre s idea of ownership has become law in many countries. Now, people
can actually own their ideas, making it so that only they may use them and profit off of them. Looping
back to Plato, this can sadly need to greed, with people making ridiculous copyright strikes for the
smallest of things, or inflating the price of something that is in actuality very cheap. Though, going to
Aristotle, plenty of good has also come out of this system. Sartre s idea also goes into the perception
of owning something, saying that, ...becoming proficient in some skill and knowing something
thoroughly means that we own it. This is saying that a skill can also be seen as a possession that is
gaged off of how well a person feels they know something. This, or course, cannot actually be
measured, as it is simply the perception of a person s own

Devaluation Indigenous Women
deliberate devaluation of Indigenous women occurred in 1968 when an Indigenous man convicted of
rape on a reservation would not be penalized as severely if their victim was Indigenous as well.
Decades of colonization and oppression has left a devastating impact on the entirety of society. The
devaluation of Indigenous women was not only a problem of the past, but is still relevant today. The
patriarchy that oppresses all women is addressed by feminists that demand a chance in a male
dominated world. In Indigenous communities, some find it hard to grasp the concept of equality as
women held integral roles. It is important to note how colonization has impacted the feminist
perspective of Indigenous women before colonization. Women were respected

Benjamin Franklin´s Involvement in the English Empire Essay
With Benjamin Franklin s ambition to see one day the glorious English Empire shifted to North
America, specifically in Pennsylvania and to get rid of the proprietors, he envisages a single
community that will embody Englishmen only. For that reason, Franklin is against massive
immigration of Germans and the presence of African slaves which will fade the identity of a perfect
English Empire. He becomes more optimistic of his vision when the Crown appoints him in 1753 as a
postmaster at Williamsburg. Despite all the failures that he encounters from not passing solutions such
as colonial union and the Albany Plan, Franklin still maintains his degree of confidence and loyalty to
the mother country. Closer to his dream, he has been selected in ... Show more content on

On the other hand, the Stamp Act has a different and a direct effect on the colonies. The objective of
the act is to tax legal documents, almanacs, newspapers, playing cards, and nearly every form of paper
used in the colonies. This seems to be a threat to the American constitutional rights. Therefore,
colonial agents in London and lieutenants Governor oppose to the Stamp Act, including Franklin
saying that It will affect the printers more that anybody . Franklin, despite his British s loyalties and
love, comes up with an alternative plan for raising revenue instead of taxing legal paper. He proposes
a plan that parliament authorize the issuing of paper currency at interest. Franklin knows exactly how
his proposed plan will work and assures his fellows by saying that it would not be an unpleasing one .
This action taken by Franklin to find another option to raise money demonstrates how he has his
country of birth s interest at heart. Unfortunately, his proposal is rejected by Greenville, a chief
minister under who s the Stamp act is planned. But that does not stop him from appealing the plan.
However, many colonies such as Pennsylvanian blame Franklin for creating the Stamp Act. Even his
home back in America, his wife and relatives are threatened because of the Act. They blame him for

Leisure Development In Western Civilization
Part 1: Favorite leisure period: My favorite period about leisure development in Western Civilization
is the Playground Movement, due to the fact that churches rediscovered the value of recreational
activities for kids outside of their homes. (Dimension of Leisure for Life, page 127). As described in
out textbook, both parents were working from full time to eighteen hours day and their children were
wondering around without sense; for sure they were learning bad habits and being in contact with
people older than their ages. This period appeals to me, because my nuclear family directly benefitted,
by having access to neighborhood playgrounds. My parents, and later myself clearly recall how much
they enjoyed going as a family to community playgrounds. Soon enough, people came around selling
some food, little gifts, water and soda pop, which children enjoyed with their families. I like this
period, because it brought families closer. Families in our neighborhood also began to have picnics
and extended families gatherings. Moreover, children enjoyed their weekends breathing fresh air,

In endometriosis, this endometrial tissue begins to grow in places outside the uterus. Typical sites
include the fallopian tubes, intestines, vagina, and on scars that my form after abdominal surgery. The
misplaced endometrial tissue thickens, engorges with blood and bleeds during the menstrual cycle,
just like the normal tissue in the uterus. However, there is no place for the abnormally placed
endometrial tissue outside the uterus to shed blood. This results in the formation of cysts, scars, and
adhesions. This process can also block or affect the fallopian tubes so that conception and pregnancy
are less likely to happen. It can also result in complete infertility. Other symptoms of endometriosis
are often associated with heavy or painful periods. Risk factors for the development of endometriosis
include having a mother or sister with the disorder, never having children, starting the menstrual
period at an early age, and frequent or long periods. According to Dr. Camron Nezhat, Laparoscopic

Diversity In The 18th Century
The diversity in 18th century American society was like an undeveloped larva compared to the
intricate butterfly America is today. The larva of 1791 consisted of a white majority, while today s
butterfly is flush with colors from all over the world, where diversity has catalyzed change within the
society as a whole (periodic). Although Thomas Paine argued America represented a haven of
concordant living amongst people of diverse backgrounds under a government promising unalienable
rights, the grand change in American demographics has inevitably produced turmoil among different
cultures, divided by a broad discrepancy of wealth between social classes and sweeping contrast
between ideologies; America, therefore, is too young and diverse of a country where citizens have not
found a common ground to stand together on (parallelism). The pollyannish goal of society is concord,
the weaving of various cultures, ideas, and principles to create a harmonic, unified community. A
society under concord is a utopia, where according to Paine, any difficulty is expunged, simply by
establishing a government based on philosophical ideals. Concord is ... Show more content on

Summary Of The Poem Mirror By Sylvia Plath
The poem Mirror, by Sylvia Plath, was written in 1961. The poem takes place during a time when
women s reflections were changing quickly, and women s movement was becoming more important.
According to Kristine Tucker in The Overall Meaning of the Poem Mirror, she states, The Mirror was
written by Sylvia Plath in 1961 but wasn t published until 1971, eight years after her death by suicide.
Therefore, presuming the lady in the mirror is Plath, readers assume she wrote the poem referring to
her personal life and her struggle with depression due to her appearance.
Sylvia Plath s poem Mirror is about a woman who gets older as the mirror watches her. At first, the
mirror is silver and exact (1). The mirror does not judge; however, it swallows what it sees and reflects
that image back (2). The mirror is also not cruel, only truthful (4), and considers itself a four cornered
eye of a god (5). Therefore, the mirror sees everything for what it is, and does not lie. The mirror looks
across the empty room most of the time (6) and meditates on the pink speckled wall across from it (7).
The mirror is attached to the wall, and has looked at that wall for so long, that the wall is thought to be
part of my heart (8). The darkness in the room and the people who consider the mirror are the faces
and darkness that separate the woman and the mirror (9). In the next stanza, the mirror is now
portraying itself as a lake (10). A woman is looking into the lake (10), and she is

Disadvantages Of Service Oriented Architecture
!!!Definitions
!!What is a Microservice?
Microservices are a method of designing software applications in which the application components
are divided into small independent processes called Microservices which communicate with each
other using API to form a complete application.
!!What is Service Oriented Architecture(SOA)?
With Service Oriented Architecture a communication protocol is used to make public, platform
independent services available to any application or user that needs them. SOAs provide services to
components that may involve simple data passing routines or connect to another service or carry out
some small functions.
!!What is an Application Programming Interface (API)?
It is an interface. It is in between two different applications, allowing them to communicate. An
application programming interface is therefore defines as an application that allows two pieces of
software to communicate with each other.

The Physical Portrayals Of Hispanic Women In The Media
The physical portrayal of Hispanic women in the media has a large influence on the Hispanic women
and girls that view these portrayals. The media s physical portrayal of Hispanic women is that they are
voluptuous, dark haired, tanned skin, and petite. There are many films, TV shows, and any other
media outlets that portray Hispanic women as such. Examples of these portrayals are Modern Family,
Maid in Manhattan, and Girl in Progress. In each of these movies or shows, the main character
appears as the stereotypical Hispanic woman. This is what many Hispanic women and girls believe
that the world sees them as. They also believe that this is how they should look. This especially affects
adolescent girls that identify as Hispanic. media use may play a role in the body image development
of Latina adolescents (Schooler, 2008, p. 134). Most of the time when watching television, Latinas see
a white woman and their beauty standards. The difference between white women in the media as
opposed to Latin women is that there is a greater variety of how white women in the U.S. look. When
a Latina finally sees someone who is Latina, they expect to see themselves, instead, they see Eva
Mendes, long wavy hair, curvy, and petite. When young Latin women see this, they expect themselves
to be the same way. If they don t look like that, it can result in a spoiled body image of themselves.
Latina women in this sample tended to hold the lowest perceptions of their bodies, the highest
awareness of Consumerism as a factor in the body/beauty standard, and scored high in racial
identification (Poran, 2002, p. 79) Latin women understand who they are and when someone is of the
same background. Many are also self conscious about their bodies, and that is likely due to the fact
that not only are actresses on TV shows thin and curvy, but many commercials are about the newest
way to lose weight rapidly, or what to buy to get curves. All women of any race have issues with body
Image, but as a Latina, the media plays a big role in how Latinas form their body image.
According to the media s portrayal of Latin women, there are two ways Latin women act. The first
way is passive, pure, and dependent on men; the second way is wild,

Childhood Obesity Analysis
Parents Child Caretakers Obesity in America is literally a growing problem, affecting every age group.
Children are the most venerable group because they have no control over where they have dinner or
how often they have fast food. Parents and guardians make decisions about food and are responsible
for the health of children. Childhood obesity has more than doubled in the last twenty years. This is
concerning because Type Two diabetes is a horrible, crippling disease that is affecting children and
teens dramatically whereas the disease was primarily seen in adults. Children are said to have a shorter
life span than their parents for the first time ever. In the United States sixty six percent of adults are

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, childhood obesity effects more than 9
million children and teenagers between the ages of 6 19 in the United States with another 8 million
considered at risk of becoming obese. These staggering figures have cause groups to form all across
the country and organize their efforts to prevent this disease. One such organization is the Leadership
for Healthy Communities, which is a national program of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation
(RWJF). The RWJF holds summits nationwide events calling on policy leaders nationwide to advance
healthy eating and active living options in their communities. According to the RWJF, a special
emphasis has been placed on collaborative state and community policy approaches that address
childhood obesity among vulnerable populations disproportionately affected by the epidemic. The
RWJF also has a panel, which consists of its chairmen, doctors, lawyers, but more importantly
politicians on the state and federal level who are taking childhood obesity head on and working with
organizations like the RWJF to promote healthy, cost effective change in communities nationwide.

##o s Relationship In Prospero In The Tempest By William...
Prospero is a powerful, sharp, determined, and a loving father, who likes to be in control. In Act One
Scene 2, his language tells us a lot about him and his relationships with the other characters.
Prospero s retellings of past events to Miranda and Ariel illustrates how Prospero maintained his
power, exploring the old man s meticulous carful methods of controlling those around him through
magic, charisma, and rhetoric.
When we meet Ariel we see Prospero s control over him straight away with Has t thou spirit, perform
d to point the tempest I bade thee? This shows that it is Prospero who makes commands and expects
Ariel to obey him.
But why would Ariel serve Prospero? It turns out that Prospero had rescued Ariel from imprisonment
in a tree by a witch, who used to be the ruler of the island. When Ariel asks for his freedom, in this
scene, Prospero gets furious and uses similes, metaphors and detailed descriptions to emphasize the
horror of Ariels situation before he came to the island. What torment I did find thee in. Thy groans of
ever angry bears. It was a torment. Did make wolves howl and penetrate the breasts . This reminds
Ariel that he is in thrall to Prospero who keeps the spirit doing his bidding by threatening to return him
to the suffering from which he came. If thou more murmur st, I will rend an oak and peg thee in his
knotty entrails till thou hast howled away twelve winters. This also highlights his own power as he
sets Ariel free and threatens to put

Classical Liberalism Research Paper
Liberalism is generally differentiated into two categories which are classical liberalism and modern
liberalism. According to Heywood (2003), classical liberalism was the most primitive tradition which
nothing can surpass. The forming of the ideas of classical liberalism between the seventeenth to
nineteenth century was due to the disruption of feudalism in Europe followed by the reconstructed to
capitalism. However, modern liberalism is the advanced alternation from classical liberalism which is
based on its fundamental basis. This is one of the reasons that some people argued both classic and
modern liberalism are partly similar. Yet, this essay will be more focus on the discussion of the

If I were to imagine a friend just lost his job, which helped him cover tuition costs, then I would
assume he would go through stress and I could describe his potential actions to this job loss. This
friend would experience stress, which is the physical, emotional, cognitive, and behavioral responses
to events seen as threatening or challenging. Stress is often the result when basic drives are unmet
which is what the friend is experiencing. My friend would have several symptoms of stress can
include physical fatigue, more than usual mood swings, depression, concentration problems, memory

a perceived harmful event, attack, or threat to survival. Potential reactions my friend might have to his

My Life And Future Goals In Life
A common statement some might say to someone of my age is: Anyone under the age of eighteen
cannot possibly experience something that will change their perspective on life; they are simply too
young. Regardless of how old someone is, they can still face experiences that could one day shape
them as a person. I, personally, have participated in an event that has completely impacted my life to
this day, and has helped me discover my future goals in life. This event has made me want to change
the world and I believe has made me a better person. In the summer of 2011, I was given what I
believed was a once in a lifetime opportunity. Since I was a young girl, I only ever wanted to be
around animals, and I dreamt that one day I would be able to be an animal doctor , as I once called it.
So when my mother told me I would be spending two weeks at the SeaWorld and Busch Gardens
Adventure Camp, I was elated. I would be able to work with animals both large and small and be a
part of the park s conservational efforts. Once I was there, the opportunity felt even more like a dream.
I and other campers participated in activities like sleeping beside beluga whales, swimming with
sharks, and meeting one of the veterinarians at the park. Everything was perfect, it seemed, until the
events at the park began to become a bit emotional so to speak. After the first few days at SeaWorld
Orlando, our camp counselor decided it was time to show us the new additions at the park. She took us

Strengths And Weaknesses Of Immanuel Kant
Born in 1724 Immanuel Kant was a German philosopher whose work is considered to be the highlight
of modern philosophy. His work impacted ethics in a very big way. The fact that his writing is among
the most difficult to understand Kant believed the reason for this was the source of morality, and his
Critique of Pure Reason. Kant s theory, better known as deontological theory holds truth in believing
that doing the right thing and good will are motivating factors in the ethical decision making process.
His theory is an example of deontological theory but with several weaknesses as well as strengths. I
believe that lying is wrong just like Kant but I don t agree that lying for the right reasons makes you a
bad person. Kant s theory is an example of a deontological moral theory. According to these theories,
the rightness or wrongness of actions does not depend on their consequences but on whether they
fulfill our duty. Kant believed that there was a supreme principle of morality, and he referred to it as
The Categorical Imperative (CSUS, 2012). A great example of Categorical Imperative would be Don t
lie even though you might be lying to benefit the other person it doesn t matter you shouldn t lie
because it s the wrong thing to do. Kant believed that in order to act in a morally correct manner
everyone should act from duty. He also believed that it wasn t the consequences of a person s actions,
but their motivations that were important, such as lying to achieve a greater

  • 2. Moderates In French Revolution Moderates Placing the need of stability over revolutionary reform, the moderates fail to solve the very everyday issues that the oppressed majority revolted for. Although they have the power to kickstart the revolution, coming from the better status from the old order; moderates eventually disappoint the crowd because they do not fully implement the changes they have promised. Moderate groups, such as France s National Assembly, promote equality among the people but forgot to give themselves enough power to execute reforms because they are equal to everyone else. The very first articles of the Declaration of Rights of Man and Citizen, passed by the National Assembly in August 1789, proclaims Men are born and remain free and equal in rights ... • 3. The s Control Theory And Merton s Strain Theory Essay On the sunny day of June 4, 2014 in Monkton, New Brunswick, 24 year old Justin Bourque loaded his rifle, drove his truck to a local gas station, and brutally murdered 3 RCMP officers. In the aftermath of this shocking crime, criminologists ask themselves two questions: why did this happen, and even more importantly, how can we prevent it from happening again? Hirschi s Control Theory and Merton s Strain Theory suggest that Bourque s failure to properly bond with our society and his inability to succeed within it directly led to the most extreme form of social deviance: murder. Considered one of the worst crimes in Canadian history (The Canadian Press, 2014), on the day of June 4, 2016, 24 year old Justin Bourque of Moncton, New Brunswick killed three RCMP officers, Const. Fabrice Gevauden, Const. Dave Ross, and Const. Douglas Larche. As well as seriously injuring Const. Eric Dubois and Const. Darlene Goguen. (Daily Gleaner, 2014) After shooting the officers, a thirty hour man chase ensued until Bourque was finally captured. Once in captivity, Bourque was questioned about his motives and eventually admitted to the interrogators that [he] wanted to set fire to three or four gas stations and then sit, shoot and scoot. [Bourque] would have taken more Mounties down and just kept going from there (CBC Television, 2014) Bourque lived alone in a trailer park after leaving his family home two years previous and it was noted by family members that Bourque s emotional and mental ... • 4. Loss In When Great Trees Fall, And The Raven Perhaps they are not stars in the sky, but rather openings where our loved shine down to let us know they are happy. Inuit Saying. Loss can be very difficult to deal with and even more difficult to recover from. The authors of both When Great Trees Fall, by Maya Angelou, and The Raven, by Edgar Allan Poe, know this and show it in their pieces. The Raven, by Edgar Allan Poe was written in 1845 is about a man who has lost his love and is visited by a raven. The raven reminds him of his lost loved one and he suffers. When Great Trees Fall, by Maya Angelou was written in 2006 is about the effects of someone s death on others. The authors believe that loss can take a part of our life away and that it s very hard for people to get that back. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It can tear a person up from the inside until they are unrecognizable. Both authors of the poem know this, but they also know that if you recover from loss, then the memory of that person will make you stronger. The poem, When Great Trees Fall, by Maya Angelou talks about how reality, bound to them, takes leave of us, (When Great Trees Fall) when someone passes. This means that the person who lost someone can be broken on the inside so much that they cannot be repaired. Edgar Allan Poe talks about the same thing in his poem by having the character crying out to the raven that, thy God hath lent thee by these angels he hath sent thee. Respite respite and nepenthe from thy memories of Lenore; (The Raven) The man talking to the raven felt extreme sorrow, so he thought that God sent the raven in order to make him suffer through the memories of his lost one. The themes of both poems are very similar, but they are also a little bit different from each other. The Raven talks mostly about the pain of a loss and it talks very little about recovery. When Great Trees Fall talks mostly about the recovery of loss and how, Spaces fill with a kind of soothing electric vibration. Our senses, restored, never to be the same, (When Great Trees Fall) When Great Trees Fall includes recovery in their theme consistently, while The Raven does not incorporate recovery in their theme ... • 5. Personal Progression of Public Speaking Essay In life, we rarely have the chance for a do over, but I feel like returning to college is mine. Throughout high school, my grades were never above average and until about a couple of years ago I considered myself to be unintelligent. What I failed to see was my level of commitment. Once I began applying myself, the grades earned reflected that. This concept coincides to my public speaking ability. Many students, including myself, walk into a speech class thinking that it will be the Easy A of the semester and quite frankly I devoted a good amount of time and hard work to earn my A s and B s for this course. Overall, my public speaking growth in terms of listenability were influenced by the following: the strategy keys in correctly engaging ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The art speech was not necessarily my best moment when it came to audience analysis. I should have followed through with making the speech less about the assignment and more about who I was presenting it to. The dragon and persuasive speech probably would have been better had I not had so much information, I really saw how it affected the way I looked as far as confidence was concerned. Looking at my personal anecdote speech I think that was my shining moment. I am not only saying that because of the grade I received, but because I owned the material and it showed. As far as maintaining ethos, I would have to say that was during my informative speech. I felt like I knew what I was talking about in the dragon speech more at the Q A than during the speech, but during my energy drink presentation I really had the material down. During the self evaluations I know that I properly analyze what I did wrong, though I am not sure I was able to fix everything I set out to. Strategically speaking, I have a ways to go with choosing a topic, learning how to control my nervous energy, and to avoid excluding my audience should investigate more efficiently. Structure is casually called the bones of the speech. I thought I already had understood structure, but when it came to public speaking I struggled by thinking of the speeches in a literary sense rather than as a conversation. My dialog started flowing ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. Safety And Prevention Of Central Line Blood Stream Infections Safety and Prevention of Central Line Blood Stream Infections Shelbie N. Langless Tidewater Community College With all the traffic continuously moving through the hospital it is important to make sure that infection control and safety are always being taken into consideration. There are several infections that can be acquired in the hospital setting, but one of the most prevalent is a central line associated blood stream infections (CLABSI). A CLABSI is a primary bloodstream infection (that is, there is no apparent infection at another site) that develops in a patient with a central line in place within the 48 hour period before onset of the bloodstream infection that is not related to infection at another site (The Joint Commission, 2015, CLABSI Toolkit Introduction). With that being said, a central line is a long catheter that accesses a major vein in the body that leads to the heart. Central lines can be used for drawing blood and administration of medicine and blood products. Greene continues this theme into his short story The Destructors as he expresses his view of the instability of post World War II in England. The boys in the story have lost their innocence having forced to give up their childhood to the bombings and destruction of war. The boys reflect the trauma England experienced in the war and the drastic changes made after the war. Forced to give up their childhood and innocence, the boys turn to causing mischief in town, along with destroying a specific house. Similar to after the war, the younger generations did not feel connected to the past as did the older generation. The new leader of the gang, T., shares his desire to destroy the house that has stayed still among many fallen homes in the community. Although T. directly states he doesn t hate Mr. Thomas, he blatantly disrespects Mr. Thomas by destroying his money and destroying his beautiful house. T states the money they find will be burned, We aren t thieves, he says to Blackie as they finish their destruction of the house (94). T. doesn t want to steal the money for his own benefit or destroy the house for fun, he wants to destroy any hope for the older man. As Mr. Thomas climbs over the garden fence to help the boys he says, Been a boy myself. As long as things are done regular, (97). Mr. Thomas is old and does things by tradition or by the book, unlike the gang who decides to bypass the rules of common courtesy and make their own choices as children. Even though breast cancer is an important issue in today s society and there are different organizations and charities that raise money for breast cancer; the pink ribbon is something that causes a variety of problems. In her article The Problem with National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Robin Hilmantel makes an effective argument and uses pathos to reach out to women by showing the perspective of a real person who was suffering from breast cancer, as well as use symbolism to argue how the pink ribbon is being used in a misguided way. However, she does not have a well developed thesis and her evidence does not present any citation or where she got the information from which gives doubts on her credibility. Hilmantel begins her article with a statement that catches the audience s attention and makes them think about the pink ribbon movement that occurs every October; but she does not introduce her thesis until she mentions her argument which is that there is a problem in how the pink ribbon is being represented in the National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. She first starts with a story of a young woman named Kate Petrides, who did not expect to ever have breast cancer at her age. While preparing for their wedding, Theseus is confronted by Egeus, who brings criticism about his daughter Hermia, who refuses his wishes to marry Demetrius, for she is in love with Lysander. Egeus demands that either Hermia respects his wishes or be punished by the Athenian law. Many smaller gardens can be started indoors with setups as simple as a few herb seeds in a windowsill planter or as complex as a multi light hydroponic system. One of the most common mistakes that happen with starting your spring garden indoors is stating too early. Conditions must be timed exactly right so that as the indoor plant becomes ready for transplanting to a full bed, the conditions outside will at least allow transplanting the now grown seedlings to cold frames. • 32. The Physical Portrayals Of Hispanic Women In The Media The physical portrayal of Hispanic women in the media has a large influence on the Hispanic women and girls that view these portrayals. The media s physical portrayal of Hispanic women is that they are voluptuous, dark haired, tanned skin, and petite. There are many films, TV shows, and any other media outlets that portray Hispanic women as such. Examples of these portrayals are Modern Family, Maid in Manhattan, and Girl in Progress. In each of these movies or shows, the main character appears as the stereotypical Hispanic woman. This is what many Hispanic women and girls believe that the world sees them as. They also believe that this is how they should look. This especially affects adolescent girls that identify as Hispanic. media use may play a role in the body image development of Latina adolescents (Schooler, 2008, p. 134). Most of the time when watching television, Latinas see a white woman and their beauty standards. The difference between white women in the media as opposed to Latin women is that there is a greater variety of how white women in the U.S. look. When a Latina finally sees someone who is Latina, they expect to see themselves, instead, they see Eva Mendes, long wavy hair, curvy, and petite. When young Latin women see this, they expect themselves to be the same way. If they don t look like that, it can result in a spoiled body image of themselves. Latina women in this sample tended to hold the lowest perceptions of their bodies, the highest awareness of Consumerism as a factor in the body/beauty standard, and scored high in racial identification (Poran, 2002, p. 79) Latin women understand who they are and when someone is of the same background. Many are also self conscious about their bodies, and that is likely due to the fact that not only are actresses on TV shows thin and curvy, but many commercials are about the newest way to lose weight rapidly, or what to buy to get curves. All women of any race have issues with body Image, but as a Latina, the media plays a big role in how Latinas form their body image. According to the media s portrayal of Latin women, there are two ways Latin women act. The first way is passive, pure, and dependent on men; the second way is wild, ... • 33. Childhood Obesity Analysis Parents Child Caretakers Obesity in America is literally a growing problem, affecting every age group. Children are the most venerable group because they have no control over where they have dinner or how often they have fast food. Parents and guardians make decisions about food and are responsible for the health of children. Childhood obesity has more than doubled in the last twenty years. This is concerning because Type Two diabetes is a horrible, crippling disease that is affecting children and teens dramatically whereas the disease was primarily seen in adults. • 34. ##o s Relationship In Prospero In The Tempest By William... Prospero is a powerful, sharp, determined, and a loving father, who likes to be in control. In Act One Scene 2, his language tells us a lot about him and his relationships with the other characters. Prospero s retellings of past events to Miranda and Ariel illustrates how Prospero maintained his power, exploring the old man s meticulous carful methods of controlling those around him through magic, charisma, and rhetoric. When we meet Ariel we see Prospero s control over him straight away with Has t thou spirit, perform d to point the tempest I bade thee? This shows that it is Prospero who makes commands and expects Ariel to obey him. But why would Ariel serve Prospero? It turns out that Prospero had rescued Ariel from imprisonment in a tree by a witch, who used to be the ruler of the island. When Ariel asks for his freedom, in this scene, Prospero gets furious and uses similes, metaphors and detailed descriptions to emphasize the horror of Ariels situation before he came to the island. What torment I did find thee in. Thy groans of ever angry bears. It was a torment. Did make wolves howl and penetrate the breasts . This reminds Ariel that he is in thrall to Prospero who keeps the spirit doing his bidding by threatening to return him to the suffering from which he came. If thou more murmur st, I will rend an oak and peg thee in his knotty entrails till thou hast howled away twelve winters. This also highlights his own power as he sets Ariel free and threatens to put ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

According to Heywood (2003), classical liberalism was the most primitive tradition which nothing can surpass. The forming of the ideas of classical liberalism between the seventeenth to nineteenth century was due to the disruption of feudalism in Europe followed by the reconstructed to capitalism. However, modern liberalism is the advanced alternation from classical liberalism which is based on its fundamental basis. This is one of the reasons that some people argued both classic and modern liberalism are partly similar. • 36. Stress Scenarios If I were to imagine a friend just lost his job, which helped him cover tuition costs, then I would assume he would go through stress and I could describe his potential actions to this job loss. • 37. My Life And Future Goals In Life A common statement some might say to someone of my age is: Anyone under the age of eighteen cannot possibly experience something that will change their perspective on life; they are simply too young. Regardless of how old someone is, they can still face experiences that could one day shape them as a person. I, personally, have participated in an event that has completely impacted my life to this day, and has helped me discover my future goals in life. This event has made me want to change the world and I believe has made me a better person. In the summer of 2011, I was given what I believed was a once in a lifetime opportunity. Since I was a young girl, I only ever wanted to be around animals, and I dreamt that one day I would be able to be an animal doctor , as I once called it. So when my mother told me I would be spending two weeks at the SeaWorld and Busch Gardens Adventure Camp, I was elated. I would be able to work with animals both large and small and be a part of the park s conservational efforts. Once I was there, the opportunity felt even more like a dream. I and other campers participated in activities like sleeping beside beluga whales, swimming with sharks, and meeting one of the veterinarians at the park. Everything was perfect, it seemed, until the events at the park began to become a bit emotional so to speak. After the first few days at SeaWorld Orlando, our camp counselor decided it was time to show us the new additions at the park. She took us ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Then, to both of the ladies surprise, Mathilde clocked Madame Forestier. Oh My, oh my! , stuttered Mathilde. I am so terribly sorry, Jeanne! , Good heavens Mathilde. However, I too am truly sorry. Neither one of the two women knew what to say, Madame Forestier felt absolutely terrible. Mathilde, you should have just come to me, even if it was a high dollar necklace we could have worked something out. Mathilde didn t know what to say, she was so relieved that she had told the truth, but she was positively ill with this news. She didn t know if she would be able to make it home without throwing up or passing out. Mathilde, you look pale, come, let s sit down. Madame Forestier led Mathilde to a park bench in the shade. Mathilde was still sick about what she would have to tell her husband. Madame Forestier felt terrible that the Louisel had lost all of their money over a silly misunderstanding. What if I gave you some money, Mathilde. It s the least I could do. Mathilde really wanted to take the money but she knew it would not be right. No Jeanne, it would be wrong. • 39. Strengths And Weaknesses Of Immanuel Kant Born in 1724 Immanuel Kant was a German philosopher whose work is considered to be the highlight of modern philosophy. His work impacted ethics in a very big way. The fact that his writing is among the most difficult to understand Kant believed the reason for this was the source of morality, and his Critique of Pure Reason. Kant s theory, better known as deontological theory holds truth in believing that doing the right thing and good will are motivating factors in the ethical decision making process. His theory is an example of deontological theory but with several weaknesses as well as strengths. I believe that lying is wrong just like Kant but I don t agree that lying for the right reasons makes you a bad person. Kant s theory is an example of a deontological moral theory. According to these theories, the rightness or wrongness of actions does not depend on their consequences but on whether they fulfill our duty. Kant believed that there was a supreme principle of morality, and he referred to it as The Categorical Imperative (CSUS, 2012). A great example of Categorical Imperative would be Don t lie even though you might be lying to benefit the other person it doesn t matter you shouldn t lie because it s the wrong thing to do. Kant believed that in order to act in a morally correct manner everyone should act from duty. He also believed that it wasn t the consequences of a person s actions, but their motivations that were important, such as lying to achieve a greater ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

His parents were hard working successful people that made enough money to send Chris to Emory University.
