Breast cancer occurs when abnormal cells in the breast grow in an uncontrolled way and form tumors. It is most common in women but can occur in men and children as well. Certain factors like family history, age, diet, lifestyle and smoking can increase the risk of developing breast cancer. Common symptoms include a breast lump or changes in breast tissue that are noticed by self-examination. Treatment depends on how advanced the cancer is and may involve lumpectomy, mastectomy, radiotherapy or chemotherapy to remove and destroy cancerous cells. Regular self-examinations can help detect any changes early.
Diabetes is a disorder, not a disease – this is something that we reinforce repeatedly. Unfortunately, that does not make it any less dangerous to our health or lives.
Diabetes is a metabolic disorder, which is associated with the decrease in the production of the insulin hormone. Diabetes education is the only way to make people aware about the severity of this life threatening health condition.

Introduction
In Australia, at least 17,000 women develop gestational diabetes every year –
you are not alone! The number of women developing gestational diabetes is
expected to grow significantly over the next few decades.
Gestational diabetes is associated with an increased risk of complications
in pregnancy and birth, as well as a greater likelihood of mother and child
developing type 2 diabetes later in life. The good news is that with good
management of gestational diabetes, these risks are significantly reduced.
There have been huge advances in the knowledge about the management
and treatment of gestational diabetes and the importance of a healthy lifestyle
in keeping gestational diabetes and its complications under control. This
booklet aims to provide you with information about gestational diabetes, how
to look after your gestational diabetes and where to get assistance if you
need it.
The booklet is not designed to take the place of the valuable advice you will
receive from your diabetes team. It is designed to help you learn as much as
you can about gestational diabetes and the importance of managing your
gestational diabetes and continuing to enjoy a healthy lifestyle after you have
had your baby.
Gestational Diabetes Mellitus: Pathophysiology and Risk Factors | Crimson Pub...CrimsonPublishersDCMP
Prevalence of gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) is
increasing among pregnant women worldwide. Understanding
of GDM pathophysiology and risk factors is helpful to prevent its
complications. Known risk factors of GDM are genetic and unhealthy
behaviors. Genetic risk factor is associated with pancreatic beta
cell dysfunction and impaired carbohydrate and fat metabolism. In
addition, unhealthy behaviors including dietary pattern and lack of
exercise are known to promote development of diabetes. Overeating
of unhealthy diet causes obesity, insulin resistance, and endothelial
cell dysfunction. Food containing high sugar, fructose corn syrup,
trans fat and advanced glycation end products (AGEs) are associated
with insulin resistance and impaired insulin signaling. As a result,
elevated of blood glucose glycated hemoglobin, and dyslipidemia
occur [1]. Moreover, reduction of adipokines secreting from
adipose tissue is associated with insulin resistance, imbalance of
glucose production, dysfunction of lipid metabolism, development
of atherosclerosis and diabetes.

This is a presentation by Dada Robert in a Your Skill Boost masterclass organised by the Excellence Foundation for South Sudan (EFSS) on Saturday, the 25th and Sunday, the 26th of May 2024.
He discussed the concept of quality improvement, emphasizing its applicability to various aspects of life, including personal, project, and program improvements. He defined quality as doing the right thing at the right time in the right way to achieve the best possible results and discussed the concept of the "gap" between what we know and what we do, and how this gap represents the areas we need to improve. He explained the scientific approach to quality improvement, which involves systematic performance analysis, testing and learning, and implementing change ideas. He also highlighted the importance of client focus and a team approach to quality improvement.
How to Create Map Views in the Odoo 17 ERPCeline George
The map views are useful for providing a geographical representation of data. They allow users to visualize and analyze the data in a more intuitive manner.
4. ● Our body is formed by basic components called
cells. Your body creates them and it replaces
them when they are dead. Your body usually
creates healthy cells which normally carry out
their function.
5. But when one cell takes an unusual form, in some
cases harmful, it can extend quickly without
dying and copies of it can be done. When this
happens, usually begins the grow and the
formation of a tumor (the group of unusual cells
of the body that forms a mass or a nodule)
6. Breast cancer is a cancer that is generated in the
cells of the breast of a person, mostly in women,
but it can appear in men or children.
7. Why does this happen?
● Any woman can get breast cancer, but doctors have
determined that there are certain factors that make
some women more likely to get sick.
● Family history: A woman whose mother, sister, aunt or daughter
has had breast cancer are more likely to develop the disease
● Age: As a woman ages, the chances of developing cancer
increase. Adolescents, as well as women between 20 and 40
years, are less likely to develop breast cancer.
● Diet and lifestyle: women who smoke, eat high-fat foods, drinking
alcohol and not getting enough exercise are at increased risk of
developing breast cancer.
8. Symptoms
● It is possible for a woman with breast cancer
not to feel it, she can also detect a nodule lump
in her breast.. If women examine their breasts
monthly, they can help find lumps or other
changes that a doctor should examine.
● Most of the breast lumps are not cancerous, but
for safety reasons the doctor should examine.
9. Treatment
● The type of treatment against the
cancer depends on the type of cancer
and on if this one has spread from the
breasts to other parts of the body.
10. ● Lumpectomy which removes the cancerous
tumor from the breast. A woman usually has
this surgery when the cancer is found early
and when the lump is small and in only one
part of the breast.
11. ● Mastectomy: In This procedure is extirpated
all the chest. This operation is realized when
the cancer has extended over the breast or
to other places of the body. It is a good way
of removing all the cancer and it helps to
prevent the cancer from spreading or
returning.
12. Radiotherapy and chemotherapy: in general,
they are in use after the lumpectomy or the
mastectomy for making sure itself that they
destroy and do not return to grow all the
cancerous cells.
13. ● Radiotherapy: It uses X-rays of high intensity to
kill the cancerous cells.
14. Chemotherapy: It is a special medicine that
moves for the whole body and destroys the
cancerous cells
