June 3, 2024 Anti-Semitism Letter Sent to MIT President Kornbluth and MIT Cor...Levi Shapiro
Letter from the Congress of the United States regarding Anti-Semitism sent June 3rd to MIT President Sally Kornbluth, MIT Corp Chair, Mark Gorenberg
Dear Dr. Kornbluth and Mr. Gorenberg,
The US House of Representatives is deeply concerned by ongoing and pervasive acts of antisemitic
harassment and intimidation at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Failing to act decisively to ensure a safe learning environment for all students would be a grave dereliction of your responsibilities as President of MIT and Chair of the MIT Corporation.
This Congress will not stand idly by and allow an environment hostile to Jewish students to persist. The House believes that your institution is in violation of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, and the inability or
unwillingness to rectify this violation through action requires accountability.
Postsecondary education is a unique opportunity for students to learn and have their ideas and beliefs challenged. However, universities receiving hundreds of millions of federal funds annually have denied
students that opportunity and have been hijacked to become venues for the promotion of terrorism, antisemitic harassment and intimidation, unlawful encampments, and in some cases, assaults and riots.
The House of Representatives will not countenance the use of federal funds to indoctrinate students into hateful, antisemitic, anti-American supporters of terrorism. Investigations into campus antisemitism by the Committee on Education and the Workforce and the Committee on Ways and Means have been expanded into a Congress-wide probe across all relevant jurisdictions to address this national crisis. The undersigned Committees will conduct oversight into the use of federal funds at MIT and its learning environment under authorities granted to each Committee.
• The Committee on Education and the Workforce has been investigating your institution since December 7, 2023. The Committee has broad jurisdiction over postsecondary education, including its compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, campus safety concerns over disruptions to the learning environment, and the awarding of federal student aid under the Higher Education Act.
• The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is investigating the sources of funding and other support flowing to groups espousing pro-Hamas propaganda and engaged in antisemitic harassment and intimidation of students. The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is the principal oversight committee of the US House of Representatives and has broad authority to investigate “any matter” at “any time” under House Rule X.
• The Committee on Ways and Means has been investigating several universities since November 15, 2023, when the Committee held a hearing entitled From Ivory Towers to Dark Corners: Investigating the Nexus Between Antisemitism, Tax-Exempt Universities, and Terror Financing. The Committee followed the hearing with letters to those institutions on January 10, 202

The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

3. Graphic Design Production
• Advantages of working in this medium
• The advantage of using photo shop is that you are able to create an unlimited opportunities for the
creations made. which allows for a varied poster whilst other mediums don’t have the capability of certain
aspects of photo shop.
• Additionally, photo shop allows you to add in things that weren’t in the original photo taken. Which
creates an array of ideas which can be made and then chosen for the best design, and is a great way to
make a template or mock design for a poster, cover or a general photo.
• Disadvantages of working in this medium
• Some disadvantages of photo shop is that to be able to create a powerful strong image it can need a lot of
experience in photo shop to be created.
• Furthermore, you are limited by the sources you need to use for the images or just cannot create the
image that is pictured in your head.
4. Graphic Design Production
This shows how both the
posters have a large amount of
photos used to represent the
source sponsoring coke
The two coke logos are
different since they used the
original logo whilst I used a
custom made one.
Both my poster and the coke
poster uses a tag line at the
bottom of the page which
would be unforgettable
6. Strengths and weaknesses of graphic design production
The coke can getting stabbed
by the sword was created by
using the polygon lasso to cut
apart the can.
Using the stroke tool I created
the gold of the league logo to
make it all link together and to
make it show more on the
screen
The new coke colours used are linked to the splash
art of the champ making the two come together.
The background
with the yellow sky
makes the sword
look holy with the
green lighting, as
well.
7. Radio Production
• Advantages of working in this medium
• It would be quicker to produce since you don’t have to worry about producing a video
• It would be seen by disabled people like blind people who rely on audio to get the things they love and
desire.
• When in a car or on the sofa you listen to the radio because you’re bored or don’t know what to do, when
this advert comes on it creates imagery which persuades the person to become a customer.
• Disadvantages of working in this medium
• You need to use sounds effect wisely since you’re tying to create an image and can be difficult to complete
• Radio has it’s own audience which means certain things wont work for advertising like a television advert
would.
8. Radio Production
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pDj8QYigFnw
• My radio ad is very chopping and isn’t synced perfectly whilst coca cola
have made sure everything works together and flows in a harmonious
tune.
• Additionally, the real coke advert using advanced sound effects to boost
the affect of the advert and drags peoples attention to the radio advert. On
the other hand, my advert is a new type of radio advert using different
surroundings, whilst using the emotional side of the brain which is also the
side of the brain which radio gets to, so it’s a good combination.

9. Radio Production
• Strengths of my product
• It’s unique which means it would be noticeable and memorable.
• Uses iconic but unknown music to some which can get people intrigued to
the product.
• Weaknesses of my product
• Not done to the best of the software ability since I did not know anything
about the software used before I started.
• Changes I would make to my product
• Next time I would research the software I would do to make sure I can to
the best of my ability inside the specific software used.
11. Video Game Production
• Advantages of working in this medium
• The advantage of working with a game is that the idea is easier to put down since
it’s gone from image in your head to an image on the page unlike the radio.
• Since you’re using an animation to represent the game it allows you to keep going
back making sure it looks perfect and allows for the best looking animation of
game.
• Disadvantages of working in this medium
• Some disadvantages is that you can’t have the smoothest animation because there
isn’t enough room to create a smooth animation and you might not feel like your
full image has been represented.
12. Video Game Production
The way we’ve advertised the game is different since I’ve used
the bullets as the coke and Pepsi whilst this advergame has
used the target as Pepsi and the player as coke.
I’ve used quite large ships, whilst
the advergame has used small
ships and targets
We’ve both used the same type of
game, which is an advergame of
space invaders
I don’t have a timer in the
game whilst the advergame
does.
13. Video Game Production
I believe the game isn’t
easy to follow that it’s
an advergame. To
make it better I would
start in a higher
resolution to make it
more detailed.
A strength of my advergame is that
it’s an easy concept to play whilst
also having a challenge behind it. Another change I would
make is that I would
make it harder to
dodge the incoming
bullets but then give
the player a health bar
so it becomes more of
a challenge.
The way I’ve used the coke and Pepsi
advertisement is unique since people would
want to watch the shot hit the ship so they
would focus on it where the coke logo would
be.
14. Comparison
• Which product do you believe advertises the
product the best? Why?
• I believe that the game would be the best since it allows the user to enjoy the
game whilst thinking of coke, the main display of the game. If it’s enjoyable people
would feel proud to drink coke.
• Which of your products is the most
professional? Why?
• Against better judgment the poster would be the best since it allows for a
multitude of opportunities like posting the on buses seen everywhere or on a
website page something everyone uses..
