2. Research
• Strengths of my research would be how I found out how many different
designs work for different subjects and how they can affect the whole
fanzine.
• My research helped since I found out all the different ideas behind the
context and design, which helped me discover techniques I could
potentially use within my project.
• Weaknesses with my project would be that I didn’t enough into the
positioning of everything and how that effects the fanzine from a audience
point of view.
• Things I could’ve done better was going into further detail about the
different parts of the fanzines which could’ve given me more help when It
came to creating it. This would’ve affected my project since I could’ve
properly laid out my fanzine to make the most of everything I place on the
page.
3. Planning
• The strengths of my planning was how I had everything laid out in front of
me so that my production phase would be a lot easier to complete.
• This helped since I didn’t have to waste production time planning out how
I’d lay things out onto my page.
• A weakness of my planning would be that I didn’t have enough that I could
go back to and it was all quite vague
• Something I could’ve done to improve this would be to have a more detail
pagination so when creating it would run smoothly.
• The effect this would have on my project would be that I would’ve been
able to prepare extra things to make the magazine look better and not so
staggered.
4. Time Management
• Not at all, and I didn’t complete the project on time either. If I had more
time I believe I would’ve been able to complete everything on time and
not have to worry about the consequences of not having work handed in
since it drags everything else down with it.
5. Aesthetic Qualities
I believe some parts of my fanzine do look good but also have a lot to improve
I think it was creative to an extent but is obvious when it comes to things that could be
more creative
Things I like about it visually is how everything has some form of picture with the writing
and isn’t just plain.
Things I would improve would be the images and how they are used with the writing.
I believe this could be done by having a couple more images and spreading them out in
between the writing similar to the pages shown so that it’s more appealing to look at.
Overall I’d say the strengths of it would be that it’s detailed in the way of it gives the reader
everything they need to know about the target subject. On the other hand, I’d say some
weaknesses of it would be how it has many more things that can be added to it and doesn’t
look like the best thing to read.
6. Audience Appeal
I’ve appealed to the audience since I’ve given them information about
the subject and thing they might need to know to look further into it
easily. I’ve also included helpful advice if they were looking into drawing
characters of their own or if they wanted to start creating other thing,
the advice to follow that route is in there too.
Specific things that would appeal to my audience would be the starting
area of “about anime” and the end area that goes into detail about
conventions.
