The document discusses different graphic design, video game, and radio production experiments the author conducted. For graphic design, the author created a poster advertising Coca-Cola using layers, backgrounds, and the Coca-Cola logo. For radio production, the author made a Halloween-themed Coca-Cola advertisement but notes the sound effects were too loud. For video games, the author animated a simple side-scrolling game inspired by Super Mario Bros. The author believes the poster best advertised the product due to its simplicity, and the radio advertisement was most professional due to fitting the Halloween theme through editing and voiceover.
Considerations for large scale aws migrationExpediuz Tech
IT services providers recommend virtualization not because it is an IT business trend that everyone simply must ride, but because it is, quite, a smart way of managing your IT resources. Every day, more and more organizations migrate to the Amazon Web Services public cloud. However, despite the cloud’s benefits in scalability, agility and efficiency, they discover a new set of challenges that need to be overcome.
Here are a few points that you should consider when in moving to the AWS cloud long term direction….
June 3, 2024 Anti-Semitism Letter Sent to MIT President Kornbluth and MIT Cor...Levi Shapiro
Letter from the Congress of the United States regarding Anti-Semitism sent June 3rd to MIT President Sally Kornbluth, MIT Corp Chair, Mark Gorenberg
Dear Dr. Kornbluth and Mr. Gorenberg,
The US House of Representatives is deeply concerned by ongoing and pervasive acts of antisemitic
harassment and intimidation at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Failing to act decisively to ensure a safe learning environment for all students would be a grave dereliction of your responsibilities as President of MIT and Chair of the MIT Corporation.
This Congress will not stand idly by and allow an environment hostile to Jewish students to persist. The House believes that your institution is in violation of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, and the inability or
unwillingness to rectify this violation through action requires accountability.
Postsecondary education is a unique opportunity for students to learn and have their ideas and beliefs challenged. However, universities receiving hundreds of millions of federal funds annually have denied
students that opportunity and have been hijacked to become venues for the promotion of terrorism, antisemitic harassment and intimidation, unlawful encampments, and in some cases, assaults and riots.
The House of Representatives will not countenance the use of federal funds to indoctrinate students into hateful, antisemitic, anti-American supporters of terrorism. Investigations into campus antisemitism by the Committee on Education and the Workforce and the Committee on Ways and Means have been expanded into a Congress-wide probe across all relevant jurisdictions to address this national crisis. The undersigned Committees will conduct oversight into the use of federal funds at MIT and its learning environment under authorities granted to each Committee.
• The Committee on Education and the Workforce has been investigating your institution since December 7, 2023. The Committee has broad jurisdiction over postsecondary education, including its compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, campus safety concerns over disruptions to the learning environment, and the awarding of federal student aid under the Higher Education Act.
• The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is investigating the sources of funding and other support flowing to groups espousing pro-Hamas propaganda and engaged in antisemitic harassment and intimidation of students. The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is the principal oversight committee of the US House of Representatives and has broad authority to investigate “any matter” at “any time” under House Rule X.
• The Committee on Ways and Means has been investigating several universities since November 15, 2023, when the Committee held a hearing entitled From Ivory Towers to Dark Corners: Investigating the Nexus Between Antisemitism, Tax-Exempt Universities, and Terror Financing. The Committee followed the hearing with letters to those institutions on January 10, 202

A Strategic Approach: GenAI in EducationPeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

3. Graphic Design Production
• Advantages of working in this medium
It helps get used to the software used for future projects.
If there was something you wanted to try and do, Photoshop is so
complex and 9 times out of 10 it is possible to do so
• Disadvantages of working in this medium
It takes a lot of time trying to understand how to properly use
Photoshop as it is such a complex piece of software that simple things
such as resizing images because very difficult.
4. Graphic Design Production
Multiple layers and backgrounds
Artistic impression/painting
Actual photos
Both have this
logo
<-
Multiple bottles
They are both abstract
5. Graphic Design Production
Some strengths from my poster are that it
clearly advertises Coca Cola by using a
recognisable slogan, as well as multiple bottles,
further parading the Coca Cola logo.
The use of multiple layers and backgrounds as
well as the bright colours, make it stand out and
attract a younger audience
Some weakness from my poster are that the
slogan may be hard to read for someone who is
colour blind, in that respect, my entire poster
may be difficult for anyone with some sort of
colour blindness.
It also doesn’t involve much information about
Coca Cola itself, only a (out dated) slogan.
6. Radio Production
• Advantages of working in this medium
It helps get used to the software used in radio production for future
projects.
Planning out the ad beforehand helped us to make the ad run more
smoothly.
• Disadvantages of working in this medium
Using new software meant a slower start as we were getting used to it
and finding out how things work.
The multiple layers had to be in time in order for it all to run smoothly
8. Radio Production
The advertisement was themed to be released at
Halloween to advertise a Coca Cola product.
The use of surround sound was professional
The sound effects were louder than the actual voice
over, and therefore took the listeners attention
away from the advertisement.
If I was to remake it, I would make sure the sound
was better and that it was less cheesy.
10. Video Game Production
• Advantages of working in this medium
You get to use different techniques in Photoshop and learn how to
animate.
You can explore various ideas and see them come to life.
• Disadvantages of working in this medium
It takes a lot of time and patience to work in pixel art, especially
working fame by frame.
You have to come up with a creative design, based off another without
plagiarising it.
11. Video Game Production
Mine is simpler.
In both you avoid a ‘rolling’ thing.
Both involve jumping and climbing up
ladders to get to the next level.
Mine is easier as there is no score, or
anything to say that you loose,
therefore younger children may prefer
it.
12. Video Game Production
Everything is in proportion with each other
The colours contrast and do not clash
The game makes sense
It is very simple and basic
You couldn’t use it as an actual
advert as it descriminates against
other companies, Pepsi
13. Comparison
• Which product do you believe advertises the
product the best? Why?
The poster, as it is simpler and I think that it is more effective than the
other methods.
• Which of your products is the most
professional? Why?
I think that the radio advert was most professional down to the fact
that the editing and the voice over fit the halloween theme that we
where going for.
