This document contains an evaluation of a production process. It summarizes the strengths and weaknesses of the author's research, planning, and time management. It also discusses the technical and aesthetic qualities of the finished product. Peer feedback praised the character designs but noted the backgrounds and loading screen could be improved. The author agrees the backgrounds were less detailed than other elements and that the loading screen needs to be slowed down and enhanced.
This is the evaluation for unit 3. The evaluation talks about the final steps which would be reviewing the product. The review for the product includes peer feedback, comparing existing products with my own and talking about how I could include some of the improvements for it.

Embracing GenAI - A Strategic ImperativePeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

The Roman Empire A Historical Colossus.pdfkaushalkr1407
The Roman Empire, a vast and enduring power, stands as one of history's most remarkable civilizations, leaving an indelible imprint on the world. It emerged from the Roman Republic, transitioning into an imperial powerhouse under the leadership of Augustus Caesar in 27 BCE. This transformation marked the beginning of an era defined by unprecedented territorial expansion, architectural marvels, and profound cultural influence.
The empire's roots lie in the city of Rome, founded, according to legend, by Romulus in 753 BCE. Over centuries, Rome evolved from a small settlement to a formidable republic, characterized by a complex political system with elected officials and checks on power. However, internal strife, class conflicts, and military ambitions paved the way for the end of the Republic. Julius Caesar’s dictatorship and subsequent assassination in 44 BCE created a power vacuum, leading to a civil war. Octavian, later Augustus, emerged victorious, heralding the Roman Empire’s birth.
Under Augustus, the empire experienced the Pax Romana, a 200-year period of relative peace and stability. Augustus reformed the military, established efficient administrative systems, and initiated grand construction projects. The empire's borders expanded, encompassing territories from Britain to Egypt and from Spain to the Euphrates. Roman legions, renowned for their discipline and engineering prowess, secured and maintained these vast territories, building roads, fortifications, and cities that facilitated control and integration.
The Roman Empire’s society was hierarchical, with a rigid class system. At the top were the patricians, wealthy elites who held significant political power. Below them were the plebeians, free citizens with limited political influence, and the vast numbers of slaves who formed the backbone of the economy. The family unit was central, governed by the paterfamilias, the male head who held absolute authority.
Culturally, the Romans were eclectic, absorbing and adapting elements from the civilizations they encountered, particularly the Greeks. Roman art, literature, and philosophy reflected this synthesis, creating a rich cultural tapestry. Latin, the Roman language, became the lingua franca of the Western world, influencing numerous modern languages.
Roman architecture and engineering achievements were monumental. They perfected the arch, vault, and dome, constructing enduring structures like the Colosseum, Pantheon, and aqueducts. These engineering marvels not only showcased Roman ingenuity but also served practical purposes, from public entertainment to water supply.

Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.

June 3, 2024 Anti-Semitism Letter Sent to MIT President Kornbluth and MIT Cor...Levi Shapiro
Letter from the Congress of the United States regarding Anti-Semitism sent June 3rd to MIT President Sally Kornbluth, MIT Corp Chair, Mark Gorenberg
Dear Dr. Kornbluth and Mr. Gorenberg,
The US House of Representatives is deeply concerned by ongoing and pervasive acts of antisemitic
harassment and intimidation at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Failing to act decisively to ensure a safe learning environment for all students would be a grave dereliction of your responsibilities as President of MIT and Chair of the MIT Corporation.
This Congress will not stand idly by and allow an environment hostile to Jewish students to persist. The House believes that your institution is in violation of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, and the inability or
unwillingness to rectify this violation through action requires accountability.
Postsecondary education is a unique opportunity for students to learn and have their ideas and beliefs challenged. However, universities receiving hundreds of millions of federal funds annually have denied
students that opportunity and have been hijacked to become venues for the promotion of terrorism, antisemitic harassment and intimidation, unlawful encampments, and in some cases, assaults and riots.
The House of Representatives will not countenance the use of federal funds to indoctrinate students into hateful, antisemitic, anti-American supporters of terrorism. Investigations into campus antisemitism by the Committee on Education and the Workforce and the Committee on Ways and Means have been expanded into a Congress-wide probe across all relevant jurisdictions to address this national crisis. The undersigned Committees will conduct oversight into the use of federal funds at MIT and its learning environment under authorities granted to each Committee.
• The Committee on Education and the Workforce has been investigating your institution since December 7, 2023. The Committee has broad jurisdiction over postsecondary education, including its compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, campus safety concerns over disruptions to the learning environment, and the awarding of federal student aid under the Higher Education Act.
• The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is investigating the sources of funding and other support flowing to groups espousing pro-Hamas propaganda and engaged in antisemitic harassment and intimidation of students. The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is the principal oversight committee of the US House of Representatives and has broad authority to investigate “any matter” at “any time” under House Rule X.
• The Committee on Ways and Means has been investigating several universities since November 15, 2023, when the Committee held a hearing entitled From Ivory Towers to Dark Corners: Investigating the Nexus Between Antisemitism, Tax-Exempt Universities, and Terror Financing. The Committee followed the hearing with letters to those institutions on January 10, 202
3. Research
• The strengths in my research was that I was able to get plenty of potential
ideas for my production and allowed me to create stronger animations and
learn from mistakes. This helped me to create the best piece I could learning
from past mistakes and problems.
• The way my research helped my product is because I was able to learn from
what I’d research and what was and wasn’t a good way to create certain
things. It helped me understand different motions and how to make stronger
or weaker actions.
• The weaknesses of my research would be that my subject research wasn’t
looked into too much which could of helped me a lot when it came to my main
production. Additionally, all the observations that I made were very brief and
could be improved on which could help me understand my audience more.
• These changes would help my product since it was would make sure that it
would be smooth, have a clean look to the animations, and wouldn’t look
rigid.
4. Planning
• The strengths in my planning was that it was able to give me some extra
advice on how to complete my production. The planning helped me since I
had help colours and fonts I could use in my planning that would pit the
theme of my product.
• The weaknesses of my planning was that it wasn’t a strong as past projects
have been and I believe it could of benefited me a lot more if I had a
stronger planning section. Things I could of done to improve would be to
analyse what I’ve found and go into detail about what I intend to create.
• The effect this would have on my product would be that it could of given
me a stronger start to the project and I could have made a lot more and
increased the quality of the overall work
5. Time Management
• I don’t think I managed my time well since I ended up scraping a potion of
my original idea since I couldn’t create what I wanted fast enough at a
high enough quality. My project sections weren’t complete on time to
what I planned them to, since I had unexpected absences which set me
back. With additional time I believe I could complete my project to a high
quality whilst also having some of the scraped work to show what could
have been created. If it was more time to produce the work known from
the start I would of created a better schedule for myself which would of
helped me stay on track.
6. Technical Qualities
Similarities
The main similarities that the two games have is the
way they are played going across the screen. Both
games try to get a good combat system in place which
gives the player a challenge wand a choice at the same
time. I use a short turn based system where you pick
what action you do and flip turns attacking each other.
RONIN also uses a turn based system but gives a short
time between moving around and attacking.
Differences
The main difference in the two games is how my game has
a lot more detail on the characters trying to show off all
the features you could see in a proper game with a simple
background, Whilst RONIN has a lot more detail into the
background with simplistic characters enough to show
their actions.
7. Aesthetic Qualities- Does the work look good
The trees created for my background
were very simple, they also didn’t give
the background of a forest look that I
was going for. Additionally they lacked
depth and shading a normal tree would
have.
The tower looks good to a point. It’s shape is what you’d expect from
a watch tower as well as the central light within it. Additionally, the
windows look somewhat realistic. On the other hand, the lighting of
the tower doesn’t affect the surroundings which would seem odd. To
improve this I’d make the windows have less of a white tint and
spread the light towards the trees and the fence. Finally, detail of the
tower is bleak, they’re no defining details to show damage, rust, or
erosion to the tower
The fence works really well with
the blue shields surrounding it.
Additionally, the design of it
looks secure since you can’t cut
the fence open. Though the
shield gives it somewhat of a
unique feature, I’ve kept
common protection like barbed
wire. Improvements I would
make on my fence would be
some shading and potentially
some reflections from the lights
in the tower
The floor I created I thought to be a clever design since
when outside you can’t take into account what will
move the dirt, or if it rains becoming muddy. On the
other hand, improvements I’d make would be to give
the concrete part of the floor a pattern or something
similar to differentiate dirt from concrete that isn’t just
the colour.
I believe Karma to be a massive improvement from
past drawings I’ve created. Main parts which look good
would be the armour and his hair. Though never
adding any shading it worked well. Things I need to
improve on would be proportions, as they don’t look
right on the knees or elbows of him.
Things that look good with Jäger is
the way his fur goes in what ever
direction. Showing he doesn’t care
what he looks like and that he’s just a
brute. Additionally, his gauntlets give
strength to his character, along with
the veins showing the super venom
inside him. Things I’d think about
improving would be the liquid in his
tubes since it’s not too realistic it
being one plain colour. Finally, I feel
his lower legs look too skinny for
what he is and should look stronger.
8. Audience Appeal
I believe I’ve appealed to my audience since I’ve added many things that got
recommended. Firstly, was a boss that could be remembered. With the rat (now called
Jager) is something to be remembered. Also they spoke of an inspiring main character
which I believe I’ve done, though you’d need to fully read his backstory.
10. Feedback 1
• What did you like about the product?
– I really like the design of the Rat thing at the end of
your game it is very detailed.
– I really like the telescope effect when the game starts.
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
– The loading screen is a bit plain you could maybe add
a background to it instead of the black screen.
11. Feedback 2
• What did you like about the product?
– Character Design
– Intro before the gameplay starts is a clever way to pick
levels
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
– Loading screen is too fast, unable to read the
information given to you.
– Some of the backgrounds look very simple and less
detailed than the characters did
12. Feedback 3
• What did you like about the product?
– I liked the detail put behind the two main characters
in the loading screen, it’s annoying how I had to pause
to see it.
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
– The backgrounds could be improve since they don’t
seem up to par with the rest of the work
13. Peer Feedback Summary
• What do you agree with from your peer
feedback?
– I agree that the backgrounds weren’t to the standard I
made the rest of my work and is something I need to
improve on.
– I also agree my loading screen is plain and needs to be
slowed down otherwise people wont be able to read
it
• What do you disagree with from your peer
feedback?
– I believe my peers gave good feedback and it all
helped me and I agree with all of it.
14. Peer Feedback Summary
From my peer reviews I’d make loading screen slower so it can be read and
add some effect behind the character to make it seem less plain.
Since the telescope got complemented I believe I should improve the inside of
it to resemble a telescope.
I’d also try to make my backgrounds more detailed with different shading and
lighting but wouldn’t be able to redesign them with the time left
