This document outlines pre-production work for a pixel turn-based strategy game and accompanying manga. It includes details on the purpose, target audience, and distribution method. Color palettes, fonts, reference images, storyboards, sound effects, and music are selected. Production schedules are laid out over three weeks to create backgrounds, character models, animations, and integrate audio. Contingency plans and health and safety considerations are also addressed.

• I’m creating a pixel turn based strategy game, With a few pages of manga to
compliment it. The game will have different levels and different abilities for classes
• Why? (What is the purpose of making your Film)
• To be able to push myself further than I have in the past and try to improve myself
with it.
• Who is it for? (Audience)
• For plays who enjoy turn based strategy games, but wouldn’t prevent knew people
from trying it out.
• Where will it appear/on what? (How will audience see it)
• It would be found on the steam market or in a store within a box.

3. Pre-production: Colours
This colour pallet is to help with the creation of scenery and characters, I’ve given
myself plenty of option and variety with the colours. I’ve made sure that each has a
choice of shading to go with them so I can easily create shadows and areas where
light shines more.
The colours chosen also relate back to some of my exciting products and some more
futuristic designs I’ve seen before. These colours also aren’t odd to the target
audience since they’ve been used in many past and current turn based strategy
games.

Use this space to document whatever pre-production work you did for your project. It will vary
from person to person and project to project. You will need to add more slides. Delete this
advice once you don’t need it.
The fonts I’ve chosen are to
help create the different army
signs, road signs, and text on
menus and U.I’s. I wanted
different areas to utilise
different font so players could
understand the area they are
in and who controls it. I’ve also
found fonts that represent
some of the characters and the
way they would write. This
would be used when the
characters are asking the
player about missions and
asking about various other
thigs.

I chose this image so that I could
understand different stances that I should
think about completing and when they
could be used
This also shows me how to create sword
motions and with it any other motions
from it. They’ve also gone into detail with
how different creases and wrapping is
marked. Finally the shading doesn’t have a
constant light but is still very detailed which
I could benefit from.

This image I chose since it gave an insight
on how to layout smaller areas and the
way to distribute cover to make it look
like a clean surrounding area. This will
help when creating my scenery so
everything doesn’t look like it’s been
forced into an area and looks more
smooth.

could portray the character designs and
give the player as much choice as possible.
The character design menu also gives
players freedom which make the player
enjoy a game a lot more.

Potential Issue Solution
My computer isn’t working at home Have a backup location I can access the files
with all the programs I need to complete my
work
My files corrupt and lose work Have 2 ways of saving work, save it every 20
minutes or when making big changes, so
backup won’t take you back by hours
Internet is working correctly so I would have to
create my own images
Prepare for the worst and have ideas for
images planned for future work
