2. Microsoft Word lets you create, design and make your
document readable by changing its font face. MS Word
also offers other features in designing your document
such as the Font Style.

3. Font Style
Font style lets you emphasize on or part of a text in
your document. You can Bold, Italicize or Underline
your text depending how much you want your reader
to give importance to the next you emphasized. Font
Style can be found under the Home Tab. The Bold font
style bolden the stroke of each letter. The Italic font
style italicize or slants the text. Lastly, the Underline
font style underlines the text.

5. Activity
1. Open Microsoft Word. Click on Start ► All Programs
► Microsoft Office ► Microsoft Word or double-click on
the Microsoft Word shortcut on the desktop. This will
open a blank document in Microsoft Word.

6. 2. Before you start typing your poem, it’s best to save
your work now so you’ll just hit the CTRL + S keys
once you’re done. To save the document, click the
Save Button.

7. 3. Upon clicking the Save Button, the Save As Window
will appear. Choose a File Destination and Type “abc
poem” as the File Name for your document then click
Save. You can simply click CTRL + S to save your
changes the next time you wish to save the document.

8. 4. Type your ABC Poem. An ABC Poem is consists of
lines where the first letter of the first word of every
line begins with A. Next line begins with letter B and
so on and so forth.

9. 5. Change the font style of your poem. To change the
font style, highlight the text you want to edit by
clicking the first word, then, without clicking, drag the
cursor until the last word of the text you want to edit.
To remove the font style you had applied, simply
highlight the text and click the font style again. After
highlighting, choose your desired font style. Bold and
Underline all the first letters (ABC) then Italicize the
title. Also, change the font face of the title to Eras
Bold ITC and the font face of the body to Times New
Roman.

11. 6. Save your File. After editing your poem, save your
finished file by clicking CTRL + S.
