Wood led the Lions to a team victory, its first since the 2013-14, and A&M-Commerceโs first individual
tournament win since the same season with a 142 at the Lion Invitational. Wood shot the fourth lowest round
in tournament history opening the event with a 69. He followed up with a one over 73 in windy conditions to
finish with is 142. Woodโs victory is his first of his career. He was the only golfer under par at the event.
WOMENโS
Beatriz Prados, Tarleton State University, SR, Madrid, Spain, Ortega y Gasse
It was a sweep for the TexAnns in California as Tarleton won the Otter Invitational and Beatriz Prados led the
way for the TexAnns by shooting a 150 (+6) to win the individual title in Bayonet & Blackhorse Golf Courses.
Prados improved her first-round score by six strokes and shot an even-par 72 in the final round. Prados sank
five birdies and 21 pars in the tournament.
OTHER TOP PERFORMERS
Glory Jangthongsiri, West Texas A&M University, finished tied for 24th at the Otter Invitational this week
with a 158 score on rounds of 78 and 80. She led the Lady Buffs to a 10-place finish in the 18-team tournament
(317-324=641).
Analysa Coy, Texas A&M University - Kingsville, led all golfers with a 78 to close out the tournament with a
meet-high 151 at the Battle at the Max versus Texas A&M International... on day one (Monday), she shot a one-
over-par 73, 10 strokes better than second place. That is a career best for the Bastrop, Texas native.

TexAnn Golf won their third tournament of the 2015-16 season by defeating the field by an impressive 13
strokes at the Otter Invitational at Bayonet & Blackhorse Golf Courses. The TexAnns, who shot a 313 in the
first round to hold the lead, improved by 17 strokes to card a 296 and a 609 (+33) for the two-day tournament.
Tarleton was the only team to shoot better than 303 in the tournament. Western Washington finished in
second with a 622 (+46). Beatriz Prados led the way for the TexAnns by shooting a 150 (+6) to win the individual
title in Seaside, California. Prados improved her first-round score by six strokes and shot an even-par 72 in
the final round. Prados sank five birdies and 21 pars in the tournament. Casey Wild finished in a tie for fourth
after knocking three strokes off her opening-round score. Wild shot a 78, 75 (153, +9) in the tournament and
had a team-best 23 pars. Isabel Jimenez-Perea jumped 31 spots in the individual standings by improving her
scorecard by ten strokes. Jimenez-Perea finished in ninth place and shot an even-par 72 for a total of 154 (+10)
in the tournament. Jimenez-Perea had three birdies and 21 pars in the two rounds. Sarah Gee finished in 11th
place with a 155 (+11). Like Prados, Wild, and Jimenez-Perea, Gee finished better than she started and took a
stroke off her first-round score (78, 77). Gee sank four birdies in the tournament. Kerbey Kipp finished with a
164 (+20). Kipp tied for the team lead with five birdies. Tarleton will travel to Goodyear, Arizona to compete at
the Mustang Intercollegiate, a tournament they won last season, on April 1.โ

Texas A&M University-Kingsville fell to Texas A&M International University in the Battle at the Max at the Max
A. Mandel Municipal Golf Course after finishing with a 692 following a day two score of 347. The Dustdevils
shot 319 in day two to conclude with a 663. Individually, Analysa Coy led all golfers with a 78 to close out the
tournament with a meet-high 151.
West Texas A&M
The Lady Buffs finished 10th at the 2016 Otter Invitational hosted by Cal State-Monterey Bay with a 36-hole
score of 641 on rounds of 317 and 324...WT finished the first round in fourth and was in striking distance of
the lead, but added seven strokes to the second round finishing 10th...Senior Glory Jangthongsiri paced the
team as she tied for 24th with a 158 score on rounds of 78 and 80...No Lady Buff fired both rounds in the 70s in
the tournament...The Lady Buffs return home to prepare for the Mustang Intercollegiate April 1-2 at the Palm
Valley Golf Club in Goodyear, Ariz., for the final regular season tournament of the year prior to the Lone Star
Conference Championship Apr. 18-19 at Frisco Lakes Golf Club in Frisco, Texas.
