My Print
I used Photoshop to create the print advert, we
first took photos of each other in different
injured poses, as you can see I just ended up
using all of them, so that I could fill out the page
a bit. I also used the irn bru logo but I switch the
colours round so that it doesn't blend into the
background. Right at the very bottom I put the
slogan, and for the background I’ve used three
irn bru bottles so that it maches with the three
injured people. The reason for using three
people in the print advert is to show that irn bru
helps anyone no matter the injury. To make the
customer want to buy the product, I have made
the colours vibrant and bright, also the irn bru
logo is shown all over the page so the thought
of irn bru gets stuck in there heads. My advert is
an anti realistic style because its impossible to
revive yourself with irn bru
Real Print
Not many layers where used to create this
product. This is bone so everything blend well
together. The coke is shown next to a bunch of
other foods but the coke stands out more
because its vibrant an colourful, so that when a
costumer looks at the poster they see the coke
first. Also the background is quite boring and
bland which draws your attention to the center
of the poster where the coke is. The poster tells
the costumer that you can have a coke with any
meal. The poster is a realistic style.
My Video
To create the product we used a
camera and a software called premier
pro. The video starts of with a guy
injuring himself later another guy sees
that he’s injured and give him irn bru
after the injured man drinks the irn bru
he his healed. For this reason the video
is an anti realistic style. The pros of this
advert are, its at a decent length and
the camera work is great. The
disadvantages of it are the story
doesn't have much dialog so it makes
the advert quite silent.
Real Video
The add is set in Scotland you know this
because the flag is shown everywhere, the
story of the add is that a Scottish dad
drinks irn bru to help him get through
meeting his daughter’s British boyfriend.
The pros of this advert are the camera
work is good the story is funny, and the
video is good length. The cons of the
advert are it could come off offensive to
some people.
My Advergame
To create the advergame I used a software
called Photoshop create the game. The game
is about a dying man who has to collect irn bru
to survive. The stenghts of this product are
that it has good and appropriate sound effects
and the length of the game is perfect. The
disadvantages of this product are that the
animation are a bit bland, I could have made it
look like he’s running. I used fancy colours to
draw the reader to the game because if there
where bland colours it wouldn’t look very
appealing to the audience, also the colours I
have used are the same colours for irn bru.
The style of advertising is anti realistic,
because irn bru con not heal you.
Real Advergame
The goal of this game is to toss the girder
as far as you can, and if you collect irn
brus the girder goes further. The
advertising style of this game is anti
realistic, the reason for doing this is to
make the game more exciting is it was
realistic it would be quite boring. The
advantages of this game are its addictive
and the controls are good. The
disadvantages of this game are, it shows
more of Scotland than it does irn bru.
The product makes you want to buy irn
bru because in the game irn bru helps
you progress.
Print Comparison
To compare the similarities and differences between my print
advert with a professional print advert. They both show the
product that their advertising in the center of the image and
they both have a slogan at the bottom of the page. The
differences between our products are, my product shows
three people in it whilst the professional poster shows no
people, my product is full of bright and vibrant colours, but
the professional product has quite dull and gloomy colours to
make the product there advertising stand out, my print advert
shows the irn bru logo every on the page to get it stuck in the
readers head, but the professional poster shows the coca cola
logo only once. The pros and cons of my print advert. The pros
of my advert are that its bright and colourful it has a good
slogan, it shows the product, it has people holding irn bru and
it shows the irn bru logo. The cons of my product are, theres
to much to look at on the page. If I could change anything
about this print advert it would be to change the background
to just a plain colour, because the amount of stuff that’s on
the page almost overwhelms you.
Video Comparison
The differences between mine and the professionals
video ad are, my video ad moves locations whilst
the professionals video ad takes place in one room,
my video ad has no dialog in it but the professional
video ad is mostly comprised of dialog. The
similarities of our video adds are they both have a
story to it, so basically they have a beginning middle
and end, they both have Scottish music in it, there
both advertising irn bru and there both about irn
bru helping someone cope with a problem. The
advantages of my irn bru add are, it shows irn bru
enough to catch peoples attention, the light is good
the story is good. The disadvantages of my irn bru
ad are there's hardly any dialog sothe audience
might not know whats going on. If I could change
any thing about my video add I would add more
dialog to it.
Advergame Comparison
The similarities with my advergame and the
professional advergame are they both advertise irn
bru, there both set in Scotland, which is where irn
bru came from, and you have to collect irn bru to
keep going in both games. which is where irn bru
came from. The difference between my advergame
and the professional advergame are my advergame
has an ending whilst the professional advergame has
no ending, My advergame is pixelated but the
professional advergame is 2D and my soundtract and
sound effects for the game are 8-bit but the
professional game no 8-bit music or 8-bit sound
effects. The strengths of my advergame are the
soundtrack and sound effects fit perfectly with the
game and the idea is entertaining. The disadvantages
of my advergame are no animation for when the
main character runs. If I where to change anything
about my advergame I would give an animation for
when the main character runs
