• Compare each of your products to the similar
professional advert
– My advert and the professional one follow the same
idea but implement different scenarios
– My advert uses black and white mixed with the orange
of irn bru to create the sense of sadness in his life and
that irn bru is the only good thing. The professional
advert use non irn bru colours to start with and then
for the laser tag scene they use the irn bru colours.
This creates a sense of a life before and after irn bru,
fun.
– We used colour masking and a neutral colour filter in
camera to make the black and white effect look nicer
as the colours were already muted
– The masking was very difficult to do as it had to be
done frame by frame as the mask tracking on premier
pro is absolutely useless
– A weakness of my advert was the missed masking of
the bottle cap which give it an unprofessional feel.
Another one was the missed framing doing the
integral irn bru downing scene. This made it appear
that the actor didn't’t like the drink he was meant to
selling to people
– I would re-shoot the bottle downing scene and would
include an establishing scene of the college or the
actors bad life. This is how I would improve it.

• Compare each of your products to the
similar professional advert
– Both games follow the same original design
of space invaders and both include the
destruction of another brand. The only
difference is that in mine one had to
destroy coke cans and in the professional
one they have to destroy Pepsi cans
– One good technical qualities was the sound
design. I created a lot of the sound effects
my self and they worked really well.
– One technique I used was the use of
loading and opening screens which helped
add to the realism of the game
– The art was difficult because I cant draw
and I had to make sure the colours didn't’t
of he cans didn't’t match the background
colours too well
– Strengths.
• The hit effect worked well and the sound
and music help create the feel of an arcade
game
– Weakness
• The paths of the laser beams were not
straight. This created an unprofessional feel
– Next time, I would make the game
horizontal to make it fit a standard screen
and improve the paths of the moving
objects in the game
