3. Research
• My research defiantly influenced my final product, as I
research a few things that had a minimalistic design. I also
used the tips found via the research such as keeping the font
in the same style as the aesthetic, and never changing the
style of font as it would look silly.
• Although my research helped me finalise my product, I feel
like I could’ve added more information to help me u and make
it more easy for myself. This is one of the weaknesses of my
research.
• I feel like already deciding the aesthetic I wanted, and then
researching It helped me a lot so this was a strength to my
research. It helped me because I could look at things that
already used my chosen aesthetic and pick out the best parts
of them to apply hem to my own product
4. Planning
• My planning was very through from he research of my chosen
aesthetic to the health and safety section. I feel like I covered
a lot of areas of my production before I created my product to
boost my work rate and also help me finalize my design.
• It helped my product as it helped me focus on he aspects of
other products that I wanted to implement into my own
product. It also helped thin down things like the colour
scheme and fonts
• There aren't very many flaws in my research I personally
believe, but I feel like I could've added more research into the
actual image placement and sizing to help improve the
aesthetic side to my product
5. Time Management
• On this project my time management was adequate.
This is because for the first half of the project I was
actually ahead of the word, and for the second half I
handed everything on time.
• I should’ve tried to get ahead on the second half as I
would’ve provided me extra time to improve
imperfections, such as image placement etc.
• If I had more time to produce my work I would done
a little bit more researched also gone over the
Photoshop part more than once o improve
imperfections
6. Technical Qualities
In this example, I copied the
minimalistic look as I feel as
though it gives of an impression of
sleekness and professionalism
whilst simultaneously been
appealing to the eye
A main thing I took from this
example is the font style. The font
is very sharp and is in black to
contrast over the white colour
scheme to make it standout more.
I decided to make my font more
bold and standout, so it would suit
my theme which was the new
collection of Off-White x nike
shoes which stand out a lot.
7. Aesthetic Qualities
Personally, I think my worked look very aesthetically pleasing as in pulled off the minimalistic
aesthetic well via the font, photo placement, colour scheme etc. I would improve it by
adding more text to it and giving more insightful info into the life of virgil and maybe so
more info on the shoes, such as the release date. I feel like he lack of info was a weakness,
but the overall all aesthetics and how hey were pulled off.
8. Audience Appeal
I appealed to my target audience well because I used clothing that is also aimed a the
younger audience like Off-White and Nike.
10. Feedback 1
• What did you like about the product?
- I like how its got its own distinctive layout and I
think that makes it look better having not as much
things covering the front.
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
- More information on the double page spread.
11. Feedback 2
• What did you like about the product?
I like the simplistic design and how both the text
and pictures are displayed clearly and quite
predominantly, almost forcing the reader to look at
the products displayed.
What improvements could have been made to
the product?
– More text could have been added around the
page to give a more wholesome look to the
spread.
12. Feedback 3
• What did you like about the product?
– How the aesthetic was pulled off
– How there was enough insightful info, not to little and now
too much
– How it was appealing to the eye due to the mix of colour
and the black and white colour scheme
• What improvements could have been made to the
product?
• Maybe a few more images
• Maybe more content in general
13. Peer Feedback Summary
• What do you agree with from your peer feedback?
• I agree with the fact that I could’ve added some more
info and text to it, however I was trying to keep a
minimalistic style so this somewhat justifies the lack of
info, but I do understand the lack of info could be
improved
• What do you disagree with from your peer feedback?
– Nothing as I believe it is all thought out constructive
criticism
14. Peer Feedback summary
• To improve my product would definitely add
more info to read as that is something I lacked in
my original concept. Also I would make my
images a little bit smaller so I could add more
room for text.
• Another thing I could improve is the amount of
images actually there. I took aesthetic a bit too
seriously and that lead to a lack of images and
text which I would definitely take into account
more given the chance.
