• I think that my product research helped because my colour scheme has a
limited palette which is the same as my first researched product
“Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney”. The research helped because I used a
similar colour palette because i liked the effect of it.

• My product research helped me because during it I found a blocky font
that I liked so I found one that was similar for my main menu.

• My product research helped me because I was able to find a layout that I
liked from the same one as the font research. The layout that I liked had
all the main characters with the title close to them. It shows who is in the
game very well and I decided to do the same thing.

• My product research helped me because I was able to find out what
members of my audience like as a large group. This was because I could
send out the surveys to a lot of people and be able to make sure my
product appeals to a larger audience. The surveys were easy to create
because Survey Monkey had pre-set forms of questions For example: tick
boxes.

• My product Interview helped me because I was able to find more
detailed answers to questions. For example I made my product set in a
darker colour scheme because my first interviewee said dark colours
would fit a serious game. I thought this was a good Idea because it fit the
feeling of the game.
• One bad thing about Interviews is that they don’t span over a large
amount of answers because doing lots of interviews takes a lot of time. I
didn’t get a variety of answers because I only had time to interview two
people. I would have interviewed more people if I had more time this
would have helped because I would have had a larger variety of answers
giving me a better chance to make my product appeal to a larger
audience.
8. Planning
• The style sheet helped because I put the characters and fonts on the
sheet. This helped because I could see which fonts worked best for each
character.
• The layout sheet helped because I could visualise what looked the best
for the game.
• The story board I made helped with the order of scenes in the game like
the main menu and a couple of other scenes.
• There wasn’t a weakness I could find with the planning. If I had more
time I would have added more pages to the storyboard.
9. Time Management
• I finished my product on time but I would have definitely been better if I
had more time to spend on it.
• If I had more time I would have made the final product longer by adding
more scenes and more in detail by adding animation to some scenes that
didn’t have animation.
• I should have referred to my schedule more from my planning.
• Using time outside of classes helped but it was limiting in software I
could access.
• I could have simplified my project which would have saved time, maybe
by making similar assets or being more prepared.
• I understood the product I wanted to make so that made it easier for
production as I am a fan of the genre.
• I have built up skills in Photoshop so I was faster at making the products,
the writing elements slowed me down.
10. Technical Qualities
Photoshop allowed me to replicate
similar technical qualities as the
existing product shown that I found
in my research. I was able to make
the shapes and text similar by using
shape and fill tools. I selected areas
with the polygonal lasso and filled in
the colours. I was also able to make
sure the colours were from the
image the same as I used the colour
picker tool. These steps made it easy
to make my project professional.
Differences I included were my
ability to import a logo I had
previously made and download
fonts from the internet and install
them into the software.
11. Aesthetic Qualities
I love how I made the cover and the video, I dislike how
the video is basically just an episode of the anime as I
should have had more of a selection of clips to make it
more visually interesting for the audience. I think the
bold bright colours and clear resolution of the video and
game case work well and I have used colours that
compliment each other.
12. Audience Appeal
I believe I have appealed to my target audience because It fits the
original target audience of the anime of 16-19 year olds by including
anime that is targeted at them and visuals and edit styles they said
they preferred in the survey and interviews. I have met my social
status by having it low cost to consume and I have left it open to both
genders through including characters of both but being more male
focused as my target audience. My psychographic of belonger will be
met by being inclusive to them with the storylines and access so they
can feel part of the products community.
