3. Research
• The strengths of my research was that I think it was a really good idea to
do because it meant that I could look for some ideas on what I was going
to base my game of, and it helped think of an idea
• The weakness of my research was that sometimes I could think of what to
base my game of because there are so many different kinds of game out
there it is a bit hard to find a game that hasn’t been made before
• The things that I could have done better could be find a load of different
kind of games and I could have written down what the game don’t have in
them and then could try making a game from that
• The effect this will have on my game is that it will be similar to a game that
has been made but then make it my own by using my own colors and
characters.
4. Planning
• The strengths of my planning was that I think it was a good way to get all
of my ideas together to know exactly what I was going to make for my final
game and then it meant that I would know how long it would take me to
make my game and finish my product.
• The weakness of planning is that you might not know what you are going
to make for your final product and then you can't plan for it because you
don’t know what you are doing.
• The thing that could have done better in my planning would be to go more
into depth with my planning and written exactly how long I had got to
finish.
5. Time Management
• I think that I managed my time because I did all of my work and product
on time and I still had a bit of time to make sure that everything was as
good as I could have made it before I am going to hand it in.
• I completed my product on time and I could improve my game a little bit
more because I have got a little bit more time to make it better.
• If I had a little bit more time on my work I would have made more levels
for my game because I have only made one levels and I could make like
two more levels and I could make the game harder the more levels that
you go up.
6. Technical Qualities
We both
used the
same sun
I put
grass on
mine
They have put
some retro stuff
there
I put stars
on it
They have
palm trees
on it
They have put tall building
in the background
7. Aesthetic Qualities
I think that my work looks good because of the background that I had
used because I changed it and it looks a lot better now than it did do
before.
I think it was creative because I got ideas form other ones and changed
them to suit my style and I think that It looks really good.
The aspects of the game visuals that I like is the background because I
think it looks better in the dark than it does in the light.
The strengths of my final product is that I am good at making background
for games and make them look good
The weakness is that the car could have looked a lot better, but it was
really hard to draw a car out of pixels
9. Audience Appeal
I have appealed to my target audience because it was meant
to be for kids and adults because all different kinds of ages
like racing games and I think I have put it together well for all
people to like it.
The bits that do appeal to my target audience is the
background and the car that is being used in the game.
11. Feedback 1
• What did you like about the product?
I like the aesthetic that you have gone for. Almost a
cyberwave look with more muted colours. It works well.
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
Possibly a longer clip if time allowed it would have given a
better impression of the game. Some audio would have
added something more to it as well.
12. Feedback 2
• What did you like about the product?
• I like the colours, the variety of shapes. The
amount of details in your game.
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
– You could add music and sound effects in the
background of your game. Maybe more designs such
as cars.
13. Feedback 3
• What did you like about the product?
– I do like how you made the car and the detail on the
car as well, and I do like how the car gets smaller as it
drives off
• What improvements could have been made to the
product?
• One thing I would suggest is maybe it being a bit
more longer next time and instead of shrinking the
layer, make it so that when the car gets small the
detail on the car doesn't get so pixelated.
14. Peer Feedback Summary
• What do you agree with from your peer
feedback?
• I agree with that they would like it to be a
little longer and add a little bit of sound and
music.
• What do you disagree with from your peer
feedback? I don’t think it needs more car
designs
15. Peer Feedback Summary
– The changes that I would make are making it a
little bit longer because it was to short and add
some sound and music I would make these
changes because I think that I would make it
better and then it would feel more like a game
