Production Process Evaluation
Research
• The strengths of my research is that I researched a wide range of effect
apps and music that I want my music to sound a little bit of and I think
that it helped me to make my final music piece because I could hear what
they might have used in their music and found some effects that I will use.
• The weakness of my research is that I only looked at one genre of music
and I could have found a lot more different types of music to see how I
could have made my work a little bit different from other people's types of
music.
• The things that I could have done better in my research is to have search
up some different types of music and tried to put them together.
• The effect that it would have had on my product is that I could have
changed the music a little bit and maybe have made it a little bit better.
Planning
• The strength of my planning was that I think that I did a lot of planning to
make my final piece of audio as good as I could because I research some
techno music so I could get a feel of what it sounded like and how I could
have made mine similar and looked at what you have to do to be able to
make it techno music and not come under any other type of music and I
made a time plan that I was sicking too to make sure that I was doing
everything on time and made sure that I would have enough time to
finish. My planning helped me by making me stick to a time plan and it
made sure that I had enough time in the end.
• The weakness of my planning is that some of the things I didn’t do in the
order that I wrote them down, but it didn’t really matter.
• The things that I could have done better would be to make sure that on
the table I stuck to it day by day. The effect it would have made to my final
product would be that I could have made it better if I stuck to the
timetable.
Time Management
• I think that I have managed my time well because I think that I had a bit of
time at the end of my project to check through things and make sure that
everything was right for when I was going to hand in my work, but if I had
more time o my project I would have worked a bit more on the music to
make it even better.

Aural Qualities
• I think that my music sounds good because it
has the music that I like in there and I think it
is creative because it is like a remix of
electronic dance music and it sounds good, I
would have improved it by putting some more
effects in there to make it sound even better.
Audience Appeal
I think that it did appeal to my target audience because it was for

female and I think that they would have loved the music that I made if they
like electric dance music, the bits that would appeal to them would be where
the is two different elect dance music playing at the same time.

• What did you like about the product?
– The upbeat rhythm and the melody is very catchy. I like
that the tune is unique and doesn’t immediately remind
me of any existing songs or genres.
– It seems happy and puts you in a good mood.
• What improvements could have been made to the
product?
• Usually there is a rise in the pace or slowing down of
the pace to que for a drop in the music where it gets
more intense, like a chorus. This is usually a convention
of most songs, and some audiences might prefer
this pattern to music than a constant melody.

• I like the music in the background.

to the product?
– Adding people's voices and sound effects.

• What did you like about the product?
– The music was very upbeat and full of energy. It
was good how the drum beat faded and the
keyboard took over. The beat changed in the
middle which made it more interesting.

to the product?
– It is too short and finishes too abruptly.

– I liked how it felt like the music was
building suspense.
– I enjoyed the electronic sound to it

– It felt like some audio layers were out of sync and
it was a little jarring.
– Having a more structured layout for the song may
have added length and kept the listener
entertained longer.

• What do you agree with from your peer
feedback? I agree with that it was upbeat
rhythm and I also agree that it needs a bit
more structure.
• What do you disagree with from your peer
feedback? I disagree that it was a little short.
Peer Feedback Summary
The changes that I would have made based on my feedback would be that I
should set it out better with more structure and make all the music sync
together I would do this because I didn’t think that there was much structure
and it sounded like it was just put together.
I would also slow it down a little bit because I thought that it was a little bit
too fast of the tempo
I would also change how the music ends so it's not so abrupt because I think
that I could have made it better by making the music fade out at the end so it
would get quieter than it would then finish.

Research • The strengths of my research is that I researched a wide range of effect apps and music that I want my music to sound a little bit of and I think that it helped me to make my final music piece because I could hear what they might have used in their music and found some effects that I will use. • The weakness of my research is that I only looked at one genre of music and I could have found a lot more different types of music to see how I could have made my work a little bit different from other people's types of music. • The things that I could have done better in my research is to have search up some different types of music and tried to put them together. • The effect that it would have had on my product is that I could have changed the music a little bit and maybe have made it a little bit better.
  • 4. Planning • The strength of my planning was that I think that I did a lot of planning to make my final piece of audio as good as I could because I research some techno music so I could get a feel of what it sounded like and how I could have made mine similar and looked at what you have to do to be able to make it techno music and not come under any other type of music and I made a time plan that I was sicking too to make sure that I was doing everything on time and made sure that I would have enough time to finish. My planning helped me by making me stick to a time plan and it made sure that I had enough time in the end. • The weakness of my planning is that some of the things I didn’t do in the order that I wrote them down, but it didn’t really matter. • The things that I could have done better would be to make sure that on the table I stuck to it day by day. The effect it would have made to my final product would be that I could have made it better if I stuck to the timetable.

Time Management • I think that I have managed my time well because I think that I had a bit of time at the end of my project to check through things and make sure that everything was right for when I was going to hand in my work, but if I had more time o my project I would have worked a bit more on the music to make it even better.

  • 7. Aural Qualities • I think that my music sounds good because it has the music that I like in there and I think it is creative because it is like a remix of electronic dance music and it sounds good, I would have improved it by putting some more effects in there to make it sound even better.

Audience Appeal I think that it did appeal to my target audience because it was for 17https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bPakUeR-ABM21 year old's male and female and I think that they would have loved the music that I made if they like electric dance music, the bits that would appeal to them would be where the is two different elect dance music playing at the same time.
  • 10. Feedback 1 • What did you like about the product? – The upbeat rhythm and the melody is very catchy. I like that the tune is unique and doesn’t immediately remind me of any existing songs or genres. – It seems happy and puts you in a good mood. • What improvements could have been made to the product? • Usually there is a rise in the pace or slowing down of the pace to que for a drop in the music where it gets more intense, like a chorus. This is usually a convention of most songs, and some audiences might prefer this pattern to music than a constant melody.
  • 11. Feedback 2 • What did you like about the product? • I like the music in the background. • What improvements could have been made to the product? – Adding people's voices and sound effects.
  • 12. Feedback 3 • What did you like about the product? – The music was very upbeat and full of energy. It was good how the drum beat faded and the keyboard took over. The beat changed in the middle which made it more interesting. • What improvements could have been made to the product? – It is too short and finishes too abruptly.

Feedback 4 • What did you like about the product? – I liked how it felt like the music was building suspense. – I enjoyed the electronic sound to it • What improvements could have been made to the product? – It felt like some audio layers were out of sync and it was a little jarring. – Having a more structured layout for the song may have added length and kept the listener entertained longer.
  • 14. Peer Feedback Summary • What do you agree with from your peer feedback? I agree with that it was upbeat rhythm and I also agree that it needs a bit more structure. • What do you disagree with from your peer feedback? I disagree that it was a little short.
  • 15. Peer Feedback Summary The changes that I would have made based on my feedback would be that I should set it out better with more structure and make all the music sync together I would do this because I didn’t think that there was much structure and it sounded like it was just put together. I would also slow it down a little bit because I thought that it was a little bit too fast of the tempo I would also change how the music ends so it's not so abrupt because I think that I could have made it better by making the music fade out at the end so it would get quieter than it would then finish.
