The document provides an evaluation of Benjamin Wincup's FMP project. It summarizes the key parts of the project including research, planning, time management, technical qualities, aesthetic qualities, audience appeal, and feedback from peers. The feedback was generally positive about the visuals, audio, and gameplay, but suggested making the game longer, adding character selection, and making the app design more detailed. Benjamin agrees more time could have been spent making the animation longer, and disagrees with changing the gameplay to see who is being shot as that is already included.
3. Research
• My research helped me figure out what certain parts of my animation
needed to make them visually better and better over all.
• With my research, I probably could’ve found different products as I already
knew what a few of the products were before doing the research.
4. Planning
• My planning helped me figure out what my product would look and sound
like. I did this by finding colour schemes and fonts that I thought suited my
theme.
5. Time Management
• I couldn’t really do my time management well as I was leaving college
early. I did manage to get most of my work done before I left though.
6. Technical Qualities
• You interact with various items, like
switches and buttons
• The game is a first person shooter
• You use guns
• The controls use the WASD keys
• Bad guys shoot at you and you can shoot
back
• You can choose your mask and character
• You interact with money
• The game is top down
• It features guns
• The controls are the WASD keys
• There are bad guys to shoot
• You can choose your mask
7. Aesthetic Qualities
The whole idea of my work is based on a single part of an existing game. It’s not terribly original,
however I think that I have made it unique by making the whole game based around this one
idea. It looks how you’d expect a pixel plane heist to look; I like the style, but that is probably
bias.
8. Audience Appeal
I think my game appeals to my target audience
as it has guns and money; action and violence.
10. Feedback 1
• What did you like about the product?
– I like that the game is top down because I don’t see many
top down games. Also the game as good detail in it.
Another detail that I liked is that when the money is going
away that money is flying out of the batch and looks like its
losing money
• What improvements could have been made to the
product?
– Make the game a little bit longer and that you can see hey
guy who he's shooting at.
11. Feedback 2
• What did you like about the product?
– The animation was very good and clean cut, things had an even flow.
– I liked that even though the main character is simple and viewed top
down, he has the unique strip of white in his hair which adds to the
immersion of the game.
– The animatics when the money is being stolen is super cool, I like how
the money seems to flow away.
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
– The game could be a little bit longer.
– The plot of the game could have been made a little bit clearer.
12. Feedback 3
• What did you like about the product?
– I thought that the visuals and the audio were timed well and created a
better impact for the audience to understand the game and immerse
themselves into it.
– The colour schemes and visuals match planning and the initial idea
was carried out well throughout all products.
– App design is simple and memorable and linked to the video through
the colours and images.
• What improvements could have been made to the product?
– The gameplay could have had a tile and start screen or character
select to widen the visuals shown for the game
– The sound effects could have been chosen to build more tension and
suspense during the gameplay
– The app design could have had a bit more detail to be more eye
catching as an app logo
13. Peer Feedback Summary
• What do you agree with from your peer
feedback?
– I agree that I could’ve made my animation longer,
if I had my time.
• What do you disagree with from your peer
feedback?
– I disagree that I should make it so I can see the
guy you’re supposed to be shooting at as you
already can.
14. Peer Feedback Summary
Based on peer feedback, I would make my animation longer, add more
sounds in and put more time into making the app logo.
