Working Title:
Run
Audience:
My target audience doesn’t really have a specific gender its targeted at male, female, apache
helicopters and other, teenagers, tailored to no specific sexuality. B, C1, C2 social status. Emulator
psychographic.
Rationale (approx. 100 words)
Over the course of this year I have learned how to animate and make the image move which will
be a vital part in animating in Photoshop for this task. Having this ability means I can spend more
time trying to make the characters in my game look more advanced, add more stuff to the
background and attempt more advanced movement in the game. My advergame was absolutely
terrible in my opinion so I am hoping I can create something in this task which works and doesn’t
look absolutely appalling.
Project Concept (approx. 200 words)
For this task my plan is to make an infinite runner game where the character will run along the
course and pick up the coins which will be scattered along the course. Score will be rewarded for
distance run as well as for the coins collected which will be totalled and added up at the end of the
game to create a total score for the player to compete against themselves to get the highest score.
The character for the game will be user selected and the courses will also vary between levels.
I will need to research what makes people play infinite runner games and what features are
common between the popular games to try to implement into my game and make it a success (if it
was actually going on the App Store or whatever). I will need to research the art styles of the
popular games and what their main character is, whether they have a specific single character and
its outfit changes or if the character can be changed.
Evaluation (approx. 50 words)
I plan to do production reflections whilst I’m in the process of making my game and evaluate my
final production once I have finished. The production reflections will help me focus on what I need
to do to improve my work for when I next load the document and the final evaluation will help me
know what I would need to do better if I attempted a similar task again at another point.
