Working Title:
City Run
Audience:
My target audience is mainly male or female teenagers age 16-19
I would classify my audience as being ‘Emulators’ as most teenagers these days want to appear
like an Achiever to attract the opposite sex / the approval of their peers or they would want to seem
more successful by responding to messages or sending hate to other people. For the social status
I would classify my audience as “Needs Driven” as this group does not plan and will respond to
messages relating to missing opportunities and impulse buying.
I think that my game could appeal to this audience classification as the game is all about coin
collection so a group of teenage friends could be competing to try and collect the most coins and I
also think that all teenagers 16-19 yrs old can play my game as it just a person running while
avoiding obstacles, it’s not like a killing game that mostly boys would be intrested.
Rationale (approx. 100 words)
In year 10 and 11 I took Graphics, we made use of Photoshop for one project but that only
required the basic skills like typing something down and duplicating it to make it into a background
In general I haven’t really acquired that much Photoshop and video game skills in High School. But
the print proposal project helped me improve my Photoshop skills so I will be able to use that in my
video game.
Project Concept (approx. 200 words)
My game is a coin collection game. My character is running to collect coins while avoiding
obstacles. I took this idea from a game called ‘Subway Surfers’ and Mario Bross.
I chose this game because it’s fairly easy but entertaining and also because in general coin
collection games are games that I’m interested in as I find it fun to play.
For my obstacles I’m going to research some small and easy pixel characters that I can use for my
video game. I am also going to research the walking cycle so that I know how my characters legs
are going to move. I want my game to be colourful and bright so I’m thinking of setting the game in
a town and on a rooftop with different colours for the buildings and the rooftops.
Evaluation (approx. 50 words)
For my evaluation I am planning on writing down everything that I coud have done better but also
everything I like about my project. I’m also going to analyse my work and write down why I added
some elements to improve my work. This progress will help me progress in the future when I
continue with my media career
