Working Title:
Superstar
What is it called? This can change if you think of something better later
Audience:
My audience is more based around the older teenage age range, around the age of 15-18 to
be precise. I am making my game so that it will appeal to both a male and female audience,
however if some of the both gender have the opinion that it is based at only one gender
than that is of their opinion and not with intent. I would like to think that my game will
appeal towards all kind of social status as I want it to be able to have a wider range
audience and could also appeal more and more people would view the game.
Rationale (approx. 100 words)
Throughout the year I have learnt many skills about editing and how to produce work via.
Photoshop and other editing software’s, one of my favourite pieces of work of which I have
worked on before in the past is the idea of creating games, such as animation games and
adv. Games, which can be similar to video games, despite that I have not yet made a video
game despite the video game project of which I am working on now. I still feel that I will
make good work with my video games though as I have done various different research
into video games to get my bearings with the concept and what would be the best game to
create depending on audience appeal/idea.
Project Concept (approx. 200 words)
The concept for my project is to make a video game in a 2D dimension (only being able to
go up and down or left and right). I am planning on making a Mario form of game which is a
kind that is more of a Platform game where you have to go up and down, avoiding certain
objects along the way. I will also be including the idea of having some form of power-up
blocks along the way, which will of course help people if they where to be struggling with
the progress of the game, it will therefore make it just that bit easier for them. With my
game being a platform game, I will initially be basing It around the idea of a side scroller
which will move along as you move along in the game.
Evaluation (approx. 50 words)
When it comes to the evaluation of my work I feel that I will review it via my own opinion
and also get opinions from other people so I will have a more wider opinion range rather
than it only being my opinion. Also I feel that I will compare my work to the work of actual
production video games that people play, but of course they will have to be ones of which
appeal/ are similar to my production work, as it will give an accurate comparison and also
could/will show me what I need to do to improve my work if I have the time to go back and
improve it ad maybe even try to make it look more like an actual video game if possible.
