Working Title:
What is it called? This can change if you think of something better later
Impo Run
Audience:
Who is your audience? Be very detailed; age, gender, social status, psychographic etc. Use the
Audience Classifications PowerPoint on Blackboard to help you develop this section.
Why would your project appeal to this person? Discuss each audience element in relation to
content (why would your product appeal to the age group? Why would your product appeal to the
gender? Etc.)
My audience is going to be children (0-14) and aimed towards both genders however mainly
towards males. To make my game appeal to these one way in which I will do this is by
having a male asthe main character as then more maleswill be able to relate a nd will want
to play the game. The game will be easy to use which means young kids will understand
how to play it and the bright colors will attract the young audience. My game will be aimed
at all social statuses as the majority of kids play games no matter what their social status is
however it will mainly be aimed at lower middle class so I will have my game for free and
use advertisements. Me allowing people to play this game for free will attract my audience
because they then don’t need to go out the way and purchase it and this means they are
more likely to play the game.
Rationale (approx. 100 words)
Review your progress throughout the year- what video game and Photoshop skills and knowledge
have you acquired? How will you use those skills?
What was your advergame and how will it have a direct impact upon your project?
Some Photoshop skills and knowledge I have acquired this year would be drawing using one pixel
and frame animation. This will help me so that I’m able to draw what I want in my game and I can
use the frame animation to make what I want move and turn it into a game rather than just a still
image. My advergame was a game similar to doodle jump and it was very simple because my
knowledge on games wasn’t that good however this will make a impact upon my project because I
know how to make a simple game so now I can challenge my self and make a more advanced
game. Some other skills that I have used with the advergrame project would be adobe premiere
pro which I used to put sound effects with my game and this will come in useful with this project so
I can include sound effects in my game and include some background music. In the last project I
used beepbox to make my own sound effects for my irn bru game so these skills that I have learnt
throughout this course gives me the freedom to create the exact sound effect I want and I’m able t
have that sound exactly how I want it and I can then save it and use it within my game,
Project Concept (approx. 200 words)
What is the concept for your project and what are you going to make?
What research will you need to conduct and how will it help you make your project/
The concept of my game is that the character needs to complete the course and collect as
many coins as possible as this helps to get more points which then allows the player to buy
different outfits for the characters and it allows them to buy better guns and amo. They can
also buy upgrades for their gun and they can by armour etc. . Throughout playing the game
there will be many objects that are placed to make it harder for the character and as the
game goes on the harder it is to complete. Research I will need would be to look at other

similar games and note the conventions of these games so that I can se this in my game so
my game looks like a legitimate game. Some gamesI have looked at are, super Mario bro’s,
crossy road and jetpack joyride s these are runner games and they will help me when I’m
making my own game.
Evaluation (approx. 50 words)
How do you plan to evaluate the work? Reference conducting on-going evaluation (Production
Reflections) and your final self-reflection (Evaluation), analysing your work and its outcomes.
How will this process help developing your working practices as you continue with your
study/media career?
To evaluate my work I plan on taking screenshots of what went wrong and taking screenshots of
the progression of my game so that I’m able to talk about this in my evaluation and I can self
reflect so if something goes wrong I will screenshot it and then say why it went wrong and how I
overcame the problem. I will also discuss my ideas and thoughts on the work during the stage that
I was at when making the game.
