1. Proposal

Working Title:
- It will be called Asteroid, which I think is a nice and interesting name for a space game.
Audience:
- My target audience is teenagers between 14 to 19 years old. It won’t be for a specific
gender; it will be appealed for all that enjoy playing space games and is interesting in
space and planets. To make my product appealing for both genders, it won’t show if the
astronaut is female of male because the character will be wearing a spacesuit. I could also
make both genders so that the player could be able to choose the character that they want
to play with. My product will appeal 65% of the social status, which are included C1, C2
and D. The game will be available for all platforms and it will be free so that everyone
could be able to download. In psychographic my product is qualified as type A where I’m
concern of how my actions will influence my audience. I could make some items as effect
of the earth, pollution for example, I could make the astronaut collect items that came from
earth.
Rationale (approx. 100 words)
- I improved the background, now I can create a background with details. I’m planning to
use this product to improve even more my Photoshop skills. The background will have the
planets and some stars and constellation to make it interesting for the audience. I also
improved my skills when animating the frames, now I don’t need to take much time moving
the character because I can use ‘tween’ which automatically creates the movements for
me; this will help me to finish my product in time. I also acquired create characters and
make it in all positions that I wanted, this is helpful because now I can be able to create
any character using this template.
Project Concept (approx. 200 words)
- In this project I want to create a different product from my previous advergame. This time I
will create a space game where it will start inside the spaceship; this will be easy because
it will be the first level of the game. Then the character will pass to the next level, this will
be outside of the spaceship. I’m planning to make a start menu for this product so that it
could looks like an actual game. It will also have the menu with two characters so that the
player is able to choose the character that they want to play with. In the game the player
will need to collect all the items that will be showing on the bottom of the page, will have a
list so that they can pass the level. Between each level will show the score and the points
that the player has collected and then two options to continue to play or go back to the
main menu. The background will be black with starts and when the character start to
move, the planets will move so that it could creates a sense that the player is actually
walking in the space to collect the items. It will also have a statistic bar showing time,
score and lives.
Evaluation (approx. 50 words)
- When evaluating my work, I could collect my audience’s opinions about the game and
collect their feedbacks where it would help me to improve my work in the future. I could
also analyse the existing products that I used to inspire me when producing this game, this
will improve my future projects.
