Working Title:
Panic Room
Audience:
The audience for my game would be targeted at both genders but maybe include more aspects
that would approach to a male audience, this is because as I said earlier in my initial research
about how 70% of gamers are men, so it would make sense to create a game that was more
appropriate for 70% and not 30%.My audiences social status wouldn’t be that important but they
would have to have a steady income because they’d have to be able to afford the game console
and the game, which are luxuries for some people. The age group would be from 17 -25 as I don’t
think there would be a game that could attract a young and older generation.
Rationale (approx. 100 words)
Throughout the year I think my progress has improved, I think the video game project is my
weakest so far because I find it hard to think of innovate ideas for games because I don’t play
many games. I also find it difficult to make it look like the characters moving. There are multiple
shortcuts on photoshop that I have learnt to use which will make it a lot easier and more time-
efficient to finish my work faster.
Project Concept (approx. 200 words)
Our project is to create our own advergame. There is a lot of flexibility with the games and were
able to create whatever style game we are interested in. There are multiple different styles of
games I could do, e.g. endless runner, puzzle. For my game I am planning to do a puzzle game
the aim of the game will be for a character to be trapped in a room and they must search around
the room and finding different keys to escape the room. For my research I will need to explore
different types of games, but most importantly I think I will need to analyse different horror games
and how the company create a scary atmosphere throughout the whole game, and how they
introduce different characters that distract the player. If I want my game to be successful and work
the best way it can, I think the most important factors are in the background.
Evaluation (approx. 50 words)
In my evaluation I will refer to how I created my video in detail. I will analyse how I thought of the
main idea of the game and how I decided to create the background and characters. I also think it
will be interesting to write in my evaluation about how my research helped me and what aspects of
the apps I analysed I have in corporate in my final product.
