Space Run is an endless runner game set in space aimed at teenage boys. The player controls a character escaping experimentation on an alien spaceship. As the character runs through the ship, they must shoot smaller aliens approaching and a larger alien chasing them. If the character is shot too many times or fails to defeat the larger alien, they will die or be recaptured. The game draws on skills learned from a previous endless runner and Irn-Bru advergame, including scrolling backgrounds, shadowing, and detailed backgrounds. Daily evaluations will track production, with a final evaluation after completion.

Audience:
This game is aimed at teenage boys for a middle-class background. My game would appeal to this
audience because the game is set in space and is an end lesser runner but has elements of a
shooter game within it. My game would also be aimed at someone who likes to dream and think of
out of this world sorts of things as it is science fiction and is set out of this world so this would link it
to this sort of person.
Rationale (approx. 100 words)
When doing my Irn-Bru advergame I acquired some skills that could help me when making this
endless runner game such as learning how to make a scrolling background and the effect of
someone shooting. I also learnt how to add shadowing to my characters which is something I will
do to the characters in this game and to the different objects. For my Irn-Bru game also had to
make a detailed background which I think will help me a lot when making the background for this
game.
Project Concept (approx. 200 words)
My game is going to be set on an alien space ship after your character wakes up to find
himself/herself being experimented on so your character gets up and starts running through this
spaceship trying to escape. As you are trying to escape them you are having to shoot aliens you
approach and sometimes have to shoot the bigger alien chasing your character. If your character
is shot by the aliens you run towards too many times your character will die or if the alien chasing
you cannot be defeated then your character will also die or be recaptured.

To evaluate my work and its production I will do a daily evaluation of my production and one bigger
and final evaluation after my game has been fully completed and there is nothing more I have
planned or am wanting to add to my game.
