4. Mind Map
• Strengths of using this method
– You can keep a track of your thoughts. You can see where your
ideas started from and how they got to the place they are now.
– People will be able to understand my ideas because of how it’s
been laid out.
• Weaknesses of using this method
– It’s hard to distinguish which ideas are which.
– Would be easier if you could use different colours or some
identifying marker so you can tell them apart.
• Did you like using this method? Why?
• Yes it was simple and easy to use because it helps me think of other
ideas.
• You can go back to your ideas if you forget something.
6. Mood Board
• Strengths of using this method
– You can use all different sources of material. It helps me visualise my idea.
– You can have many ideas in the same place.
• Weaknesses of using this method
– Can be very cluttered and you may have to pick and choose certain
things.
– Difficult to move around pictures because there was limited space.
Would’ve liked more.
• Did you like using this method? Why?
• It’s certainly not my favourite method, because it’s very all over the place
and can be frustrating, but it does have good uses, like showing a vague
idea of what your ideas are and comparing them against other images.
8. Style Sheet
• Strengths of using this method
– You can test out different font and styles, so that there’s more choices
to pick from.
– You can compare different colours and find the ones that work for you.
Which helps you work out what colours to use in your final piece.
• Weaknesses of using this method
– Takes a long time to decide which fonts to use, which wastes time that
you could be using on your production.
– Have to be careful with colour selection as you don’t want too many.
• Did you like using this method? Why?
• This method is OK, but it can take a lot of time you could be using on other
things and concentration you could be spending on something else, and you
have to choose carefully what you want/need as too many different colours or
font styles can be overwhelming.
10. Layout Plan
• Strengths of using this method
• Weaknesses of using this method

What are you talking about? Ad?
Yes, Ad. We’re in an ad.
Dude, I think you’ve gone crazy.
Do you mind? I’m trying to talk!
To who? There’s no one here but us.
Yes there is, right now there’s a person listening to this Ad as they listen to the radio.
This isn’t an Ad!
Oh really, then why do you have a bottle of coca cola?
What? This? I just like coke!
Well, everybody does but that’s not the point is..
*Terms and conditions*
Oh now look what you’ve done! We’ve wasted the allotted time!
Wait, this is really an Ad?
Yes! And now it’s ending.
What happens to us after the Ad ends?
Well, we’ll probably get fired from doing such a terrible job of promoting coca cola.
No! I meant what happens to the in-Ad us?
Oh, we’ll probably cease to exist.
WAIT WHAT?
*Music starts paying*
Have a refreshing glass of coca cola, any time any place! Utterly delicious!

Taste the feeling!
*white noise*
