• Strengths of using this method
– Helps pick a style of font you may want to use.
– Helps pic a colour of font you want to use and see what
colours work well together.
• Weaknesses of using this method
– Lots of the same style fonts, because there isn’t a big
variation of fonts to chose from.
– The same word so don’t see what other letters look like in
that font

• I liked using this method because it helped me get an
idea of what types of fonts I would like to use.

– helps get ideas down and lets you see how well things go
together to make the product stronger and look better.
– Get the idea of how its going to look so you can make
improvements if needed but also allows you to change your
idea if you find something better.

– Your ideas could look weak and not clear of what you want by
not showing your ideas as clear as they could in a different way.
– Haven’t cut out the images so cant over lay them the way you
want without there been a white box around you image.

– Get ideas down quickly so you can have lots of things to work on
when it comes to choosing the right idea
– Ideas easy to work on as in you can add and adapt your ideas
easily and clearly so then the ideas are easier to understand.

– Looks messy because there are ideas all over the page in
random places.
– Not clear because of all the random places the ideas are in and
could look like one idea could be two.

• Yes because it’s a quick way to get the ideas down and
there easy to change and adapt.

Then we replace the “Pepsi” with “coke” and question
the idea of the slogan!

• Strengths of using this method
– Makes you make sure you have done everything right by
checking if you have met all the criteria it also makes sure
you haven’t got any copyright or offensive things init.
• Weaknesses of using this method
– When talking to the tutor it was easy and didn’t think that
the informal sheets was necessary because we didn’t get
asked the things on that sheet and it was time consuming
when it came to doing the sheet.
• Did you like using this method? Why?
• It was easy to talk to the tutor about are ideas but the
sheet wasn’t as good to do as the sheet as you couldn’t
explain your ideas as clearly.

than there would be if on your own.
– Get different opinions on a idea so you can improve on a
idea to make it better.
• Weaknesses of using this method
– Might disagree on a idea and not be able to chose one to
do.
– Could have to many ideas and not be able to chose witch
one is the best one.
• Did you like using this method? Why?
• Yeah because you get a lot more ideas to use.

• Strengths of using this method
• can say what your idea is in more detail by talking
about it to someone and explaining your idea.
• Weaknesses of using this method
– Easier to talk about it that to write it down and can
get ideas out easier when talking about then then you
can typing them down.
• Did you like using this method? Why?
• Yeah because it helps get your ideas out as the
tutor can help you by adding something to your
idea to improve what you are doing.

• It will be pixel based on a grid of 120 by 80
• Have to animate the game to show how it
works.

– Haven’t really used it before so haven’t played around

something on the spot and make it work.

– The size of the box is smaller that the one you would be
using so you cant draw it how you want it.

• I do like using it because it helps get the ideas on the
page.

– Talk about the idea rather than hand it in on paper.
– Explain ideas easier and clearer.

– Got no evidence of talking about it.
– Might not remember what you have said before
writing them ideas down.

Why? • Yes because there easy to do and you can get a lot of ideas down fast.

Mood Board • Strengths of using this method – Helps to think of ideas to do. – Inspires you to make a professional looking poster as you have been using coke posters for ideas to make yours the best you can. • Weaknesses of using this method – Ideas aren’t as clear as they could be as it is a lode of pictures and not really a idea you are just using them for inspiration to make your poster. – lots of random images that probably don’t relate to your idea just got them because it’s the same brand your doing. • Did you like using this method? Why? • I liked using the method as it helped me think of lots of different ideas.

Style Sheet • Strengths of using this method – Helps pick a style of font you may want to use. – Helps pic a colour of font you want to use and see what colours work well together. • Weaknesses of using this method – Lots of the same style fonts, because there isn’t a big variation of fonts to chose from. – The same word so don’t see what other letters look like in that font • Did you like using this method? Why? • I liked using this method because it helped me get an idea of what types of fonts I would like to use.

Layout Plan • Strengths of using this method – helps get ideas down and lets you see how well things go together to make the product stronger and look better. – Get the idea of how its going to look so you can make improvements if needed but also allows you to change your idea if you find something better. • Weaknesses of using this method – Your ideas could look weak and not clear of what you want by not showing your ideas as clear as they could in a different way. – Haven’t cut out the images so cant over lay them the way you want without there been a white box around you image. • Did you like using this method? Why? • Yeah I liked it because it helped me get my ideas down.

Brainstorm • Strengths of using this method – Get ideas down quickly so you can have lots of things to work on when it comes to choosing the right idea – Ideas easy to work on as in you can add and adapt your ideas easily and clearly so then the ideas are easier to understand. • Weaknesses of using this method – Looks messy because there are ideas all over the page in random places. – Not clear because of all the random places the ideas are in and could look like one idea could be two. • Did you like using this method? Why? • Yes because it’s a quick way to get the ideas down and there easy to change and adapt.
  • 13. informal pitch •Main plan: make fun of competitor brands! •How?: • Use there own slogans against them! Examples: •“Come alive your in a Pepsi generation.” •“Have a Pepsi a day!” •“ Pepsi now!” •“Generation next!” Then we replace the “Pepsi” with “coke” and question the idea of the slogan!

Informal Pitch • Strengths of using this method – Makes you make sure you have done everything right by checking if you have met all the criteria it also makes sure you haven’t got any copyright or offensive things init. • Weaknesses of using this method – When talking to the tutor it was easy and didn’t think that the informal sheets was necessary because we didn’t get asked the things on that sheet and it was time consuming when it came to doing the sheet. • Did you like using this method? Why? • It was easy to talk to the tutor about are ideas but the sheet wasn’t as good to do as the sheet as you couldn’t explain your ideas as clearly.

Group Idea Generation • Strengths of using this method – Have different ideas from some other people, more ideas than there would be if on your own. – Get different opinions on a idea so you can improve on a idea to make it better. • Weaknesses of using this method – Might disagree on a idea and not be able to chose one to do. – Could have to many ideas and not be able to chose witch one is the best one. • Did you like using this method? Why? • Yeah because you get a lot more ideas to use.

Formal Pitch • Strengths of using this method • can say what your idea is in more detail by talking about it to someone and explaining your idea. • Weaknesses of using this method – Easier to talk about it that to write it down and can get ideas out easier when talking about then then you can typing them down. • Did you like using this method? Why? • Yeah because it helps get your ideas out as the tutor can help you by adding something to your idea to improve what you are doing.
  • 19. Initial Reaction • Have to create a game advertising Coca-Cola • It will be pixel based on a grid of 120 by 80 • Have to animate the game to show how it works.

Initial Reaction • Strengths of using this method – Could use any idea as long as it had coca-cola in it. • Weaknesses of using this method – Haven’t really used it before so haven’t played around with the software. – Didn’t have much time to get use to the software or the idea that I used so it isn’t the best I could have done. • Did you like using this method? Why? • Its good because you have to come up with something on the spot and make it work.

Sketches • Strengths of using this method – Gets your ideas down easily by sketching out your ideas. – Can see what your idea is going to look like before you have started to make it. • Weaknesses of using this method – The size of the box is smaller that the one you would be using so you cant draw it how you want it. – Could have a different idea after you’ve sketched it all out • Did you like using this method? Why? • I do like using it because it helps get the ideas on the page.

Formal Proposal • Strengths of using this method – Talk about the idea rather than hand it in on paper. – Explain ideas easier and clearer. • Weaknesses of using this method – Got no evidence of talking about it. – Might not remember what you have said before writing them ideas down. • Did you like using this method? Why? Its good because you can explain your ideas easily.
