2. Navigation
I have included a navigation bar to allow the user to switch pages such as the
home page, the blog, the gallery as well as the form. This tool also allows the user
to see all the information about the reggae poster. I have also added a contact
form to allow users to send in their designer posters relating to reggae and
comparing it to the level 2 class.
3. Hyperlink
I have included a hyperlink to show where my blogger is set, the hyperlink is easy
for the user to quickly click on the image of the blogger logo which takes the user
to my blog for Unit 13, which is everything I have included for the Graphic design
unit. The user can see things like the plan as well as how I have structured my
website as well as my poster. The user can basically see how I have managed to
complete everything with the different software's I have used. For example, with
the poster I had used Photoshop. Which allows the user to take notes and
possibly give it a try making a poster of their own.
4. Grid/Structure
I have organised the grid and structure in a way that the banner remains at the
top of the website which briefly explains the main message of the website.
I have also included a short little explanation on clearly what the user must do as
well as the different posters shown.
I have made four different website navigation bars (as mentioned in the previous
slide) to allow the user to switch to the different pages of the website.
Lastly the information stays in the middle whereas a moving image is shown on
the side of a sunset falling. I have chosen this as it makes the website look
professional.
5. Colour
In my website for the posters I had to pick an appropriate colour to represent the
reggae music theme. I did not want to make my poster and my banner to ensure the
user that the website is not only similar to one poster, nut it needs to fit purposes for all
of them.
The main colours I have chosen is dark green as green is one of the most popular
colours used for the reggae theme. I had also applied a moving image on the side
bars of the website. I have chosen this simply because it was special from the other
images due the fact it had a short animation where the water was moving.
I have also use the colour black inside my website for things like the navigation bar as
well as part of the banner. I have chosen black as well because in the posters, there
wasn’t as many black backgrounds included for the different peoples poster hence
why it was appropriate to use.
6. Interactivity: Dynamic or Static content
There are many things I have included which is interactive for my website, one of
these example is embedding a code from a specific YouTube video and uploading
it to blogger. Instead of embedding the code, I have copied the link of the video.
I have also made the gallery section of the students poster interactive as the user
can just simply click on one of the posters as well as clicking the arrow to the next
poster.
Lastly as mentioned in previous slides, the navigation bar is also interactive as the
user is able to choose the different pages of the website.
7. Use Of Imagery
I had many task to do inside this website design. However I have also included a
bit of creativity down the line such as the text of the home page to clearly state
what the website is about and why it has been made.
I have also included a short five second video inside my blog page to welcome
everyone to my blog, I had felt like the user needed some interaction with the
consumers of the website.
Lastly I have included a contact form to clearly state the users thoughts and
opinion of the website as well as the poster. I had also given an opportunity for
users to share their own posters and to also compared them with the level 2
class.
