 Turn lights off whenever you are photographing. If you don’t, it
will affect your shot
 3 point lighting
 On each light, you have a dial and it goes from 1-6 and it
determines how bright the lights will be
 1 is the lowest setting, least amount of light
 6 is the highest setting, most amount of light
 On each light, set it to 3
 Transmitter – Signals all the lights
 Put a sandbags over the light stand if it’s over shoulder height
 Soft box – Whole point is to spread the light
 Diffusion – Softens the lighting to create natural
 Have your model 5ft-6ft away from the back
 Key light/Moonlight
 Fill light – Fills in the contrast/shadow of face
 Hairline light – Focuses on the of the head
 Reflectors – Bounces light
