2. Our initial ideas were to either create an advert or a music video of our choice in
which we have decided to create a music video as a group we all believed it would
have been an easier and better way to demonstrate a tone and specific mood set
for the audience to gain a message across by.
We then decided to pick a song called “Addison Lee” which was created by a
young rapper by the name of “Not3s.”We felt as if this song was appropriate for
things like the budget as well as the location shots as it represents a music video
using different cars.
We have chosen two different location in which was appropriate and acceptable
to film in different places such as behind the college as we believed that there
were many good looking and attractive cars were able to be seen throughout the
area.
We also filmed in an alley way as it felt like a vulnerable location to choose from
within the time and space we had through filming and editing in short period of
time.
3. In today society there are many different ways of transporting to different places
within the UK or perhaps throughout the world. Uber is a very successful business
in which many people use to get to short termed location through fixed times.
Many people prefer ubers as they can be cheaper compared to taxis and cabs and
also are able to use different codes to get an Uber code for free.
In this video we are promoting the Uber company and what benefits there are in
using an Uber to travel and to visit many people within short times. Uber is the
number 1 app for travel and transport.
We did not make the lyrics or the instrumental to the song however we were told
to get our own footage of lip-syncing the song towards the audience.
4. Throughout our music video, we have made many different cuts towards the
beginning, middle and the end.
Starting of with the introduction there seemed to be a cutting rate within 3
seconds (0:03) of the music video as it allowed the beat to drop which made the
music video stand out all of a sudden from just the introduction.
At 0:15. there was a fade from one clip to the next which allowed us to gain an
understanding of how it is a calm scene. it was also appropriate for the situation
and the use of time as well as space.
Mainly we have gathered the lip sync together with the original track to make it
sound like we are singing the song which was mainly the task for this assignment.
We have also used text to promote an Uber code to those that are willing to take
a journey through an Uber etc.
The use of fast pace and slow pace were also used throughout the video to make
it stand out more.
5. Many people had told us that they enjoyed how the work rate of the edit had
stayed there from the start of the song till the ending of it.
They enjoyed the cutting rate of the different shots in which the beats was
formed to drop.
The use of the visuals were used perfectly such as the fade in and fade out
technique.
The message of the music video was clear as the singer had a crush on a girl
called “Madison” in which he wanted to take her to his house.
Camera shots were used perfectly in order to make the video much more
structured and organised.
6. The use of the lip-sync was not used in time for certain parts of the music video.
(majority due to the ending of the video)
Could have added more locations as it looked rather brief towards the music
video itself.
The tone of the music video should have not been filmed during the day rather
more towards the night as it is a romantic song.
Could have included a female actor to play the role of madison and to get some
romantic shots of the couple.
Could have got a car to show it was an Uber driver and to show the moral
message of the music video itself.
