I used final cut pro to edit all my footage
together as well as adjust colour,
brightness and contrast of my clips in order
to get the final product. Final cut pro also
allowed me to combine my video with the
song and incorporate text needed
throughout. It has allowed me to put
certain effects on clips such as changing
the opacity and layering clips to give a
ghost like effect to emphasize the music
and lyrics. I have been able to cut my video

3. Music video- Research
I used the internet in order to research into
artists from the same genre as mine to get
inspiration and guide me for ideas for my video.
I watched other music videos on YouTube to
see how they have used certain conventions. I
also used it to get feedback from people on my
ideas and media products through social
network sites such as Face book and Twitter.
This research helped inspire and guide my
ideas.

4. Music video- Planning
I used YouTube to post my Pitches and animatic of my
video to get feedback from people on what they thought
worked and what I should develop. This helped me plan
my music video as I was able to form and develop my
ideas around what people thought I did or did not need to
include.

5. Digipak/advertisement- Construction
I used a DSLR camera to take the
images for both my digipak and
advertisement.
I then used Photo
shop to edit together
the images along
with the text. Photo
shop also allowed
me to change the
colour, brightness
and contrast of the
images to make
them all match.
I used websites such as “Dafont” to chose
fonts to go on my poster/digipak as well as
my logo which I edited on photo shop. I also
used google to get logos such as the iTunes

6. Digipak/advertisement- Research
After using the internet to research other artists
from the same genre as mine along with their
digipak’s and advertisements, I made a green
screen to document them. This was so I was
able to keep looking back for ideas and to make
sure I was following the right conventions they
used. I also documented them through power
point which I kept on my blog and published on
slide share.

7. Digipak/advertisement- planning
I used my blog as a way of getting feed back
from people in order to get an audiences
opinions on what they think was most suitable
for my artist and genre. I done this through
questionnaires and posting imagesof planning

8. Evaluation technologies
In order to present my evaluation I used Power point to answer the question “How
did you use media technologies in the construction & research, planning and
evaluation stages.” I used this technology to produce individual slides for each
section of the question along with using the internet to get images I included.
For the question “what have you learned from the audience research” I used a
website called Prezi to produce a presentation showing all the stages in which I
used audience research. I used to internet again to get images to include and to
post it onto my blog.
For the two questions: “How effective is the combination of your main product
and ancillary texts?” “In what ways does your media product use, develop or
challenge forms and conventions of real media products?” I used a green screen
and a video recording of me talking through the questions whilst images
appeared on the screen behind me.
