Causes And Effects Of Alcoholism
Cause and effects of Alcoholism
Alcoholism has become prevalent throughout time in History. This affliction has brought about
several negative effects to the users as well as America s society in general. Such effects include
brain damage or organ failure, separation from family and eventually death. It is not easy to tell if
a person abuses alcohol until much later. Alcohol abusecalls for total attention because of the
violence related risks it symbolizes in society. Despite alcohol s acute harmful consequences, people
have continued to abuse alcohol and become addicts. Alcohol related problems are associated with
several factors in establishing the effect that alcoholism has on individuals, family relations, and the
public. Alcohol abuse imposes profound suffering to individuals and family members, which may
contribute to conflicts, domestic violence, child neglect, irresponsibility, and immaturity, as well as
many other overall health problems.
Many people venture towards alcohol which in turn leads up to alcoholism. This occurs due to
their influence from others, whether it be from, their peers, friends, or family members. According
to Tom Price recognizes in his article, Alcohol Abuse. , children who live in a family with people
who abuse alcohol have a natural inclination to abuse alcohol themselves, and begin drinking thus
predisposing them to abuse alcohol. Alcohol abuse is thought to be useful in relieving stress. When
people are mentally depressed, they try

Chemical Engineering Personal Statement
Chemical engineers are often defined as people who refine oil but this have change. Chemical
engineering ranges from pharmaceutical to petrochemical industry, which is the main reason I
choose it as it leaves me with wide option of careers once I graduate. Chemical engineer always
have these question in mind how do we make it more efficient, durable and environmentally
friendly? and living in developing country where our air is polluted, children die from malnutrition
and fishes die from factory waste, sparked my interest in chemical engineeringto improve the
situation in my hometown.
Chemical engineering requires individual to be strong in both mathematics and chemistry. It also
requires student to be able to think out of the box and think of alternative solution. My ability
and deep interest in the subject can be seen from the various competition I took part in. In 2014,
I took part in Science UNSW where I attained distinction (top 8% nationwide) and Singapore and
ASEAN Mathematical Olympiad where I awarded silver; gold the following year. I also took part
in Asia International Mathematical Olympiad in 2014 where I was awarded bronze. Just recently, I
manage to attain bronze in C3L6. In these competitions, I learn about problem solving, critical
thinking and tackling problem that I never see before. My mathematical and chemical abilities will
serve as a firm foundation for my development as chemical engineer. Math allows engineers to

Anne Carson Essay

Anne Carson s Lessons
Anne Carson is a very intelligent and well rounded writer. When I first read Anne Carson s Short
Talks , I was seriously confused. At first, I thought she was an abstract writer that wrote just to
write. But then I took a second look at her work and realized there was much more to it than just
crazy jumbled ideas. Short Talks is a mixture of many elements. It has argumentation, facts, personal
opinions, and an unconventional way of writing.
As I was rereading the Short Talks , I noticed names, facts, and a lesson to go along with each
Short Talk. This persuaded me to do some research so the stories would start to make more sense.

Elektra took this very hard, so she and her brother Orestes plotted revenge against her mother and
step father. Elektra s father had been against things like this, but Elektra became so bitter she
began to commit many crimes. So this short talk helps us decide between what is major and minor
in our life. This helps to keep from overreacting over the small things in life.
Another lesson comes from the short talk On Reading. This takes the reader back to their
childhood. No, not everyone enjoys reading, but it is also great for you. In this short talk I got
the imagery that this little girl was on a road trip with her parents, her father does not enjoy
reading but she does. So while on the way to their destination, she reads Madame Bovary. While
reading she takes a moment to look around at the sights passing through the window. This just gets
the reader to truly think and assess the way they perceive the way they view reading. Having
someone who enjoys reading, and someone who finds no pleasure in reading is what makes the
world go round. Not everyone appreciates, or finds interest in the same things, but do not
discourage anyone if you have no interest in it.
If I were to write some short talks I could use an Anne Carson like writing style, or writing that
flows eloquently. I would try to help the reader to understand what is being said, but to also think
about what is before them. I would include an introduction in my short talks

Atheist Mcatheism
In the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, You are Forgiven.
Atheist McAtheism,
I m glad we re on the same page about our views of unquestioning faith; it is terrifying that people
blindly believe things without having doubts or seeking to further their understanding. Have you
ever considered that there could be a god of some sort? Have you questioned your atheistic beliefs
and faith that there is nothing? From my experience, I know that all types of people hold various
beliefs unquestioningly, including atheists. Contrary to your belief, I argue that the notion of a
god is far from absurd. While these topics and proofs that I will discuss do not certainly, beyond a
doubt, prove that there is a higher being, they definitely point to the existence of one, proving the
notion of a god to be logical, with ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He lived a completely sinless life, so he was able to take the sin from us and face God s just
condemnation concerning sin. God s righteous anger is directed toward the sin, not the sinners. He
still desires relationships with us, his children. He is able to save his creation by having Jesus fulfill
the Old Testamentas explained in the Heaven and Earth Animation. In the Old Testament animal
sacrifices were required to create a clean space for God and humans to overlap, allowing human
sin and ugliness to overlap with divine perfection and love. In the New Testament, Jesus
becomes the permanent sacrifice to wipe away all of the ugly on our side of the overlap. He plays
the role of bringing God and humans back together by taking sins away from sinners so that we
appear perfect in God s eyes as Jesus was. Since Jesus death was not final, he continues to be the
sacrifice opposed to animals. He forever reigns over death and evil, offering to cleanse people so
that they can reunite with God. All the evil will be gone when Jesus comes back to conquer it once

Islam And Stereotypes
Islam is defined as the means of the active submission of one God (Muhammad) (What is Islam
About? 2015). Citing evidence describes Islam as strictly a monotheistic religion, as it restricts
worship to the one supreme Lord who is the Originator and Creator of the universe. People who
practice Islam are those who believe in one God and Muhammadis the final Prophet of God. Those
who practice Islamdevote their lives to the service of God. Islam teaches that God (called Allah in
Arabic) is the source of all creation and that human beings are the best of his creation (Ouisoc.org,

Abortion Is A Or Medical Removal Of An Embryo
Does life begin at the moment of conception? Or does life begin when the heart starts pumping and
the brain starts to think. Some say that life does not begin until birth. The issue of abortion has been
the subject of debate for several decades. Religions in Australia have influenced attitudes and laws
with regards to this issue in the past. Are the attitudes and involvement of Australian religions in the
abortiondebate still relevant and do they make a difference?
Abortion is a surgical or medical removal of an embryo or a fetus from the uterus in order to end a
pregnancy (Dictionary, 2016). Abortion in Australia has always been regulated by state law.
However, previously before the end of the 19th century, each colony had adopted the... Show more

It was also found that religious belief and support for legal abortion are not mutually exclusive,
with 77% of those who identify as religious also support a woman s right to choose (Children by
Choice, 2012).
The attitudes towards abortion have changed over the years. Since the 1980 s, opinion polls have
shown that majority of Australians support abortion rights. In 1987 a poll conducted by Saulwick
indicated about 7% of Australians would not approve of abortions under any circumstances.
However, an ACNielsen poll in 2005 reported that 56% thought the current abortion laws, which
generally allow abortion for the sake of life, health or economic factors, were fine, while 16%
wanted a change in making abortion more accessible and 17% wanting to make changes to make it
less accessible (Grattan, 2005).
The debate regarding abortion among religions has been prominent for centuries. Many religions
have different historical perspectives on the immorality of abortion, on whether it can ever be
permitted, and how believers should respond (Society for the Protection of Unborn Children,
2016). Buddhism regard abortion as morally wrong as it involves the deliberate destroying of a
life. However, the Dalai Lama has spoken in favour of abortion under certain circumstances. He
stated,
Of course, abortion, from a Buddhist viewpoint, is an act of killing and is negative,

uncomfortable sitting in silence because my thoughts would constantly distract me from trying to

Captain Knows Analysis
Often times in a theatre troupe, three different groups tend to stand out amongst the crowd. In this
troupe, there are the Captain Knows how s, the Diamond Shiner s, and the Queen s of Drama.
They all have their perks, except when their special instincts take over and steal the show.
The first group is the Captain Knows how s. This group is often the shy, quiet personality in the
whole troupe. However, if the director needs a task done they always find this group. No matter
what, or how hard the task is, the Captain Knows how s will never cease to amaze. Beware, they
may seem friendly, but if caught in the midst of them and without a tool in hand, know that death
is near. This group is also known to be blessed with patience , because they sit with the Queens of
Drama when they need a hand. Nevertheless, this group knows how to get the job done and a

their group with the occasional conversation with an outsider. Just because they sing every song

Women s Role In The American Corrections System
The American corrections system has many facets to it as well as many challenges that each and
every individual within its system must learn to cope with. Not everyone who is in some sector of
the corrections system can deal with what corrections entails because the life that they led outside
of the correctionssystem isn t always the same. This can especially be said for women who find
themselves part of the corrections system simply because of the role that women generally face
within their homes.
Corrections is defined as, the variety of programs, services, facilities, and organizations responsible

corrections system. There were three principles found to be of importance for this time of prison
reform and they were, (1) separation of women prisoners from men, (2) provision of differential
care, and (3) management of women s prisons by female staff (Clear, 2013). Basically the
concern was female prisoners to be house separately from the male prisoners in a facility ran by
female staff.
In state prisons it is estimated that women account for nearly twenty five percent of the workforce
(Clear, 2013). However in the Federal Bureau of Prisons it is estimated that women only account
for approximately thirteenth percent of the officers (Clear, 2013). Out of the total population of
prison inmates, only approximately seven percent are female whereas the population of female jail
inmates is approximately twelve percent.
An issue that is of concern is the safety of female officers when working within a male prison
facility. In 2013, a female officer at the Arizona State Prison Complex in Winslow was brutally
beaten by two inmates to the point of being placed in the hospital. Officer Benavidez was escorting
50 unrestrained male inmates when two of them inmates proceeded to brutally attack her.

Analysis Of The Article Advertising s Twenty Basic...
Paintings aren t as interesting as they used to be. Paintings became popular during the Renaissance
era (14th century 17th century). Artists express their thoughts and emotions through their paintings.
Paintings give off many messages, and the message someone receives correlates with their mindset.
For example, the paintingof the Last Supper, if viewers don t have the mindset of a Christian then
they would think everyone is mad at the guy in the middle (Jesus). Paintings are all about
perception and what the viewers can take from the image mentally.
In the article Advertising s Fifteen Basic Appeals , Jib Fowles gives the meaning of affiliation in
advertisement. Fowles states, the need to associate with others is widely invoked in advertising
(para. 18). Advertisers use this technique when they want the viewers to get involved. An artist may
paint an image of a happily married couple, and this may make a single man want to be affiliated
with women. Painters use this technique to bring people together.
Also, Fowles breaks down the need to escape in advertisement. Fowles claims that advertisement
gives the viewers the need to escape when we have a desire to duck out of our obligations (para.
52). When life becomes too oppressive we tend to seek for freedom. Many advertisements will
show an image of people who is having the time of their life to try to target people who are at a
low stage in life. Artists use transcendentalism in their paintings that make people want to

What we see fishermen bring from their long expeditions are ocean creatures of different sizes and

The Jew Of Malta Essay
The Jew of Malta is a rich with religious themes. From the biblical references in the naming of the
characters, to the conflict of the play being entirely religiously motivated. The Jew of Malta reads
like a religious history book; Catholics against Jews, Muslims against Catholics, and Jews against
pretty much everyone. And although something feels off about reading that many anti Semitic
stereotypes in one place, the work makes sure to criticize every group present in its pages,
including the Christians. Protestants are completely absent from this narrative so it could be
argued that Marlowe was going for a pro protestant message by pointing out the hypocrisy and
corruption present in the other three major Abrahamic religions of Europe. This... Show more

Critic Sara M. Deets analyzed the relevance of The Jew of Malta s rampant biblical references,
pointing out that Barabas serves as a mockery of many major characters from Job to the
Antichrist. Deets explains, On Marlowe s great stage of fools and knaves, the protean Jew plays
many parts, becoming alternately a mock Christ, a mock Job, a mock Abraham, and a mock
Isaac (Deets 28). Yet Barabas is very far from a biblical success story, so this observation only
strengthens the argument that Marlowe is seeking to reject religion for its short comings and
promote a more enlightened world view. Deets further explains Barabas function as a Biblical
parody, Barabas continues his mock imitation of Christ: he is betrayed by his supposed heir and
leading disciple Ithamore; he is apprehended and condemned to death by the establishment; he
undergoes a sham death and a bogus resurrection like everything in Barabas life, a purely
physical rather than a spiritual ordeal (Deets 31). This profound parallel with biblical Christ is
what leads to the conclusion that The Jew of Malta serves more as a criticism of religion in
general than anything else. The members of the religion are being criticized, but the ideology itself

Civil War And The Era Of Reconstruction
Between 1860 and 1877, the era of reconstruction in America had been ineffably prominent with
societal and constitutional change. Between achievements such as the Freedmen s Bureau of 1865,
helping recently freed slaves, to the 14th amendment establishing a set equal rights, multiple
advancements to the country had been created. While the dilemmas of the reconstruction period
were often caused by the Northern versus Southern ideals after fighting a bloody Civil War, or
tackling racial inequality, the question of constitutionality of the era s laws were regarded as the
essential piece to the time s strife. Moreover, there was often argument if whether the federal
government, morally and constitutionality, was privileged to decide on laws not explicitly stated in
the Constitution. Supporters of federal government heavy ruling often debated with those in
support of sovereign states, leading to deeper issues then who was creating rules. Important topics
of the era like allowing stategovernment to decide on race issues such as black suffrage, or the
enforcement of the Black Codes started at the root of power. With these adverse differences in who
should first hold and manifest the power of the nation, great revolutionary debates, ideals, and
attacks transpired. These various constitutional and social evolutions catalyzed into a revolution
regarding the state and federal power in the nation.

Sidney Mintz s Sweetness and Power and Herbert Klein s The Atlantic Slave Trade are historical

Within the two works, slave trading is shown to be a prime source of trading in order to complete
heavy labor requirements for a successful business. Mintz s Sweetness and Power identifies sugar
as an important substance needed by all colonies. Sugar production would be inefficient without an
abundance of slaves. This is where Klein s The Atlantic Slave Tradecorrelates with Mintz s
Sweetness and Power as sugar production influences slave trading. Due to this, rich investors who
obtain most of these slaves for their business and more sugar production begin to create capitalist

Effects Of The Halo Effect
The contrast effect where it is assumed that the recruiter is not able to delegate his work because
he told them that he is a perfectionist. The contrast effects deals with the fact the you evaluate
people by their characteristics that was observed recentlyduring the interview and now the recruit

could lead to the fact that this recruit does not get the job.The characteristic of someone that is able
to define their weakness is looked at as a positive attribute of a candidate, and thus recruiters make
direct comparisons of different candidates by directly comparing them on just this one criteria.
The Halo effect affects recruiters perceptions. Because of an avalanche in resumes Worldwide
Panel LLC received for the four vacancies, the officials rejected numerous applicants just by asking
them What is your greatest weakness? . The recruiters formed an overall impression from the
applicants responses and used that impression to bias ratings about them. For example, the one with

Analysis Of Place Beyond The Pines
Directed by Derek Cianfrance, Place Beyond the Pines (2012) is a multigenerational crime based
drama that changes narratives multiple times throughout the film. Following Ryan Gosling s
character s transition as he learns that he is a father, Bradley Cooper as the hero cop with both
ambitions and a conscious, and then both of their sons (Dane Dehaan, Emery Cohen) dealing with
growing up without present fathers. This multitude of narratives allows the viewer an insight into
how each character defines masculinity and the role of being a man. Ryan Gosling, a traveling
motorcycle stuntman, after learning that he has a son, quits his job in an attempt to be present in
the baby s life, unlike his own father. With little persuasion from his landlord and roommate, he
resorts to bank robbery in pursuit to provide for his new family. After eventually being caught and
killed by a trigger happy rookie cop, (Bradley Cooper) the narrative changes to the new father
and now hero cop. Bradley Cooper, an ex lawyer whose father was also a cop, lies about who shot
first to save both his reputation and his career, deals with the guilt by focusing on his ambitions and
shutting off his wife and newborn. The final narrative transition, where both sons, now teenagers,
meet and form a friendship despite not knowing their father s pasts. Dane Dehaan, a privileged but

Hunting has been around since before man was even thought of and has evolved ever since. Now
only a sport, ounce was a skill used to survive. Hunting is a natural, ethical, and healthy
undertaking ( History , par1). Hunting is a way of life without hunting nothing would live that s
why we have a food chain. Herbivores eat plants, carnivores eat herbivores and bigger carnivores
eat other carnivores. Perhaps one of the eldest activities on the face of the planet is hunting ( History
of hunting , par 1). Hunting has been one of the oldest activities known to mankind. During the first
era of hunting men were to learn how to hunt so they could hunt daily and bring food home every
night to eat. The women had the roll of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A caliber is the size if the bullet that the gun will shoot. Bows have been around a lot longer than
guns, created by the Indians to make hunting easier. A bow works like a type of sling shot to
shoot a spear. Making the speed a lot greater than throwing it by hand. There are over a thousand
different types of bows and over a million different arrows for bows. When hunting seasons where
created so where different types of weapon seasons. This allowed bow hunters to hunt before gun
hunters because bows are more difficult to use. So allowing them to hunt first gave
them a better chance at getting an animal. These hunting seasons also allow the animals to breed
without becoming extinct. Some of the animals hunted have been taken out of the hunting seasons
because of their near extinction.
One of the oldest animals hunted is still hunted today and that is the deer. Some history experts
believe that the whitetail deer went through several population stages in the past 500 years due to
the hunting of them ( Deer Hunting History , par 2). Whitetail deer offered early era hunters more
than just a food value. The deer hides were used for many different items like moccasins, skirts,
dresses, leggings, robes, mittens, head wear, blankets, pouches, bags, archery quivers, straps, and
many other things. Like today early hunters were also trophy hunters,

The Goal By Eliyahu M. Veldt
The Goal, a fictional novel written by Eliyahu M. Goldratt, introduces the reader to a plant manager
of a production plant within the UniCo Manufacturing group, Alex Rogo, who is experiencing
consistent problems in meeting targeted production levels. Faced with an ultimatum, ta turn his
plant profitable in three months, Rogo seeks guidance from a distant acquaintance of his, Jonah, an
old physics professor. This consultancy introduces concepts that will constitute cornerstones of
Rogo s strategy to turn the plant around. These concepts are also applied successfully by Rogo in
the alternative story line of his marital life. When reaching out to Jonah, Rogo is to some extent
perplexed of why the plant is not performing as expected, he is instructed to define the true goal of
the firm. After contemplation, Rogo managed, with help of one of his accountants, to expand the
ultimate goal to make money into essentially three categories: to increase net profit, while
simultaneously increasing return of investment, while simultaneously increasing cash flow . The
measures, as outlined by Jonah, of this overarching goal were; Throughput, Inventory and
Operational Expense. Throughput refers to the rate at which the system generates cash from sales,
Inventory is defined as the total money invested in purchasing things intended to sell, whereas
Operational Expense is the cost associated with turning inventory into throughput. These
measurements as defined in the Goal differ in

Soccer Is Better Than Women Essay
Soccer is the most popular sport played across the world. In most countries, soccer is played by
kids as soon as they can walk, but that does not seem to be the case here in the United States. Even
with that said, more and more people in the US are starting to learn, and enjoy, this complex game.
So that brings up the question, who is the more successful United StatesNational Soccer Team? Is it
the men or the women? The women have proved over and over again they are, by far, a lot more
successful than the men. This can be determined based on their statistics, their international success
in big tournaments, and their overall win percent since the team was founded.
One of the best ways to see who is truly more successful is to look at the team s ... Show more

Magical Realism In Like Water For Chocolate
The title of this novel, Like Water for Chocolate, is also a simile for the burning passion Tita and
Pedro had for each other. In Latin countries, like water for chocolate mean to boil water to the
right temperature in order to make chocolate milk. Figuratively it is a metaphor for state of sexual
arousal. Despite their true lovefor each other, Tita and Pedro had to restrain their feelings under the
eyes of society. Their love is like the boiling point of water.
As the famous endorser for magical realism, Like Water for Chocolate is filled with mystical
elements camouflaged into the mundane setting. Magical realism has brought this forbidden love
to its greatest extent by using lust to explain the reasons behind their thoughts and actions.

Food Stamp Program Essay
The Food Stamp Program, recently renamed Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, has been
helping serve the citizens of America since 1939. This program focuses on providing food at a
discounted price to those who qualify. The past has helped shaped and grow this government
program, however, it has also had to adjust and change due to new demands and the changing
demographics of the population. SNAP has allowed Americans to provide themselves and their
families with nutritious meals at a discounted price. However, if the newly proposed restrictions are
implemented there would be fewer options available and limit the recipient s purchasing power.

Three main legislative pieces were introduced to help address the issues of where the money to
fund the program would come from, how the program would be administered and the complete
process of certification. On July 1, 1994, the FSP program began operating nationwide. The longer
the bill was enacted the more problems came up that needed to be addressed. In 1977, both the
republicans and democrats provided main targets that each party wanted to be addressed. Thus, the
new Food Stamp Act of 1977 revised the primary act in the following ways: established statutory
income eligibility guidelines at the poverty line, penalized households whose heads voluntarily quit
jobs, eliminated the requirement that households must have cooking facilities (Supplemental
Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP): A Short History of SNAP). With increasing enrollment,
there became a need to re adjust, cut backs were issued throughout the program and the
structuring of some elements of the bill had to change in order to cut cost. Over the next few
years, the program grew in the number of recipients and in its area of coverage. The FSP begin

August 2008, participation had reached an all time (non disaster) high of 29 million people per

Genesis And Job Essay
In the Bible, the books of Genesis and Job, each give a description of the creation of heaven and
earth. They depict different views and styles but share the same idea that God is the creator.
Genesis 1 2 is the most popular and well known story that says God created everything in six days
and the seventh day was rest. In the book of Job 38 40, the concept of creation was told to Job in
order to make him understand why he was suffering and to perceive the ways of God.
The first chapter in Genesis defines the beginning as being majestic and analytical. It demonstrates
a limited description of how life will continue to be maintained in everyday growth and how the
earth will continue to bring food for all living things (Gen. 1:29 30). Genesis also suggest that the
Creator was a one time occurance at the beginning of time. It explains what God created each day
and in chapter 2 clarifies the creation of man and woman. On the other hand, Job provides imagery
and metaphors to help the human mind to wrap around the concept of how the universe was formed.
For example, God speaks to Job ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

The Uk Parliament Is Increasingly Dominated by the Executive
Parliament is increasingly dominated by the executive . Discuss [16]
The word parliament derives from a word loosely translated as to talk or to deliberate . The UK
Parliament consists officially of the two Houses of Parliament: the Lords and the Commons and the
monarch, which by convention, delegates his or her authority to a group of ministers known as the
executive. The role of parliament is mainly to legislate and to govern the United Kingdom through
elected representatives. However the executive has a special role over the legislatures and it has
been argued that the UK Parliament has become increasingly dominated by the executive.
The executive is made up of the Prime Minister (PM) acting in place on the monarch and a group of

If a member decides to vote against the party, sanctions can be imposed and in a serious situation
when a member rebels, the PM can dismiss or appoint the member to a different position.
Therefore the PM can ensure that the executive s priorities and views are expressed in the
legislatures.
However the executive s control in this regard is not total. There have been headline grabbing
notices of member s rebelling against the government position and resigning their position. For
example Robin Cook, then leader of the Commons and labour MP resigned his post due to the
government s position on Iraq. More recently in March 2008, Brown s government saw rebellion
and the opposition saw resignations over the issue of the failure to implement a promised
referendum on a new EU reform treaty. As we can see the executive s dominance of the members
of the legislature is not total but rebellions are a rarity.
The power of the PM to appoint cabinet ministers allows him or her to shape policy and therefore
legislation. The Prime Minister appoints the speaker of the house and the Lord Chancellor among
others. In this way, the PM and appointees of the executive can have considerable sway over the
legislature. The Lord Chancellor serves as a leading figure in the House of Lords but also chairs and
attends executive meetings. Although the PM usually appoints ministers from his or her party and
those who whom he or she has a good accord with, this is not always the

Analysis Of The Road Not Taken By Robert Frost
The Road Not Taken is a poem by Robert Frost that was written as a narrative based on him and
his friend, Thomas Edward. Frost and Edward would take long walks together in the woods in
England. There were always complaints at the end of their walks that they should have taken a
different path. This inspired Frost to write this poem. It talks about great importance in our
everyday lives and further suggests that any choicea person makes in life, how small it may seem
at first, will always have some sort of impact on an individual in the future. The start of the poem
is focused on a road divided. However, the conflict arises with the fact that the poet himself cannot
be divided to take both paths. He is looking down a fork in the road. And as he is lost in thought as
gazes down the two roads that look very similar in appearance, he understands that the choice
that is made could potentially change his life. The two roads diverged in a yellow wood is an
extended metaphor that represents the decisions that we are faced with every day. This first
stanza is also a metaphor signifying that while we are free to choose things in life, we sometimes
may not know what we are choosing between. The poem describes an emblematic impasse that
many may face, both factually and symbolically. There are several forks in the road; those that
force us one to make choices and decisions that will determine ones fate. It provides a view into the
obstacles that are encountered in life and

The Benefits Of A Single Stage To Orbit
A Single Stage to Orbit (SSTO) spaceplane would have many advantages over current methods of
getting people and equipment into space. Chief among these is major cost reduction. SSTOs
would be fully reusable, being that they are meant to send people to space and bring them back. A
fully reusable single stage space plane would have an advantage over a fully reusable rocket
booster, similar to what was used on the shuttle, and what is being used as the first stage on
SpaceX s Falcon 9. In fact, the Falcon 9 has already started to pay off to SpaceX. According to an

There is a challenge for TSTOs to overcome: air friction being directed on the vehicle from its
booster, while separating. The paper Aeroheating Characteristics for a Two Stage To Orbit Concept
During Separation at Mach 6 , investigates the issue. This study looked into the aeroheating on two
crafts when separating so one can make it into space, while the other, the first stage, returns to land.
The study found that in the small scale test conducted that there were not much negative effects of
heating from friction on one craft to the other. This would appear to be a positive development for
the TSTO community as it is possible to get a craft into space by attaching it to another.
As is seen in Investigation of Two Stage to Orbit Airbreathing Launch Vehicle Conп¬

there are many possible configurations for a TSTO. The kind this paper explored most was the
booster craft had the orbiter attacked on top of it, similar to how NASA transported the Shuttles on
top of a modified 747. Aeroheating Characteristics for a Two Stage To Orbit Concept During
Separation at Mach 6 shows the characteristics of aeroheating during the separation of the top
bottom configuration. The paper showed that it is possible for the top bottom configuration, and
that the aerodynamic forces from the two vehicles won t negatively affect each other.

Cryptococcus Neoformans is a Basidiomycetous Yeast Fungus
Introduction/Background
Cryptococcus neoformans is a basidiomycetous yeast fungus that is enclosed with a polysaccharide
capsule. C. neoformans can undergo sexual reproduction that is due to crossing О± and a mating
types, resulting in the formation of sexual spores or basidiospores (Buchanan and Murphy, 1998). It
is an intracellular pathogen that affects more than one million individuals, resulting in over 700,000
deaths per year (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 2014). Individuals become infected
with this pathogen when they inhale fungal particles from the various sources that C. neoformans
is found in: bird guano, decaying vegetables and soil (Upadhya et al. 2013). These particles then
enter the alveoli within the lungs. In individuals with a healthy immune system, the infection is
cleared or stays dormant until an imbalance of the immune system occurs. However, in individuals
with compromised immune systems such as those with HIV, cancer or those taking corticosteroid
medications; the fungus can disseminate and enter the central nervous system. Symptoms include
coughing, chest pain, fever, weight loss, pneumonia and respiratory distress syndrome as well as
meningoencephalitis that is fatal if left untreated (Bose et al. 2003; Upadhya et al. 2013).
Cell mediated immunity in the infected host is very important to respond to fungal invaders.

The Beta Amasment For Nike Company
What is the beta measurement for Nike Company?
Beta measurement for the Nike Company, is a statistical measure that compares the volatility of
a stock against the volatility of the broader market, which is typically measured by a reference
market index. Since the market is the benchmark, the market s beta is always 1. When a stock
has a beta greater than 1, it means the stock is expected to increase by more than the market in up
markets and decrease more than the market in down markets. Conversely, a stock with a beta
lower than 1 is expected to rise less than the market when the market is moving up , but fall less
than the market when the market is moving down. Despite being rare, a stock may have a negative
beta, which means the stock moves opposite the general market trend (Macro Axis, 2017).

Sterilized Intrusion: Misinterpretation of the Human Feedback During the short story presented by
Mary Gaitskill and her famous work, The Other Place (2011), there in the text, is provided
displacement of what is a defection from normalization. The narrator presents himself as an apple

Designing A New Branch Leader
After reading Chapter 9 and looking back on my time spent working two summers at a grain
elevator which also had its own agronomy department (using science and technology to help
produce better crop yields), it became noticeably clearer that the company I was working for was
making arrangements to hire a new branch leader. The elevator that I worked for was one of two
branches for the larger company. The company has three branch managers along with a person in
charge of overseeing the entire operation. My first summer the branch that I was working for hired
a recent college graduate to aid the current branch manager with the day to day operations of the
company. He was asked to have his hand in everything that took place within our branch of the
company. Working three months that summer, I got to see the development procedures that they
were putting him through. Although it did not apply to me, being a coach, I paid attention to the
things they were having him, potentially hearing or seeing something that could benefit me in my
profession. With him starting just a week after I had started, it allowed me to essentially everything

When John started to utter the self incriminating statements in front of the police officers he was
not under any force to make the self incriminating statements. For example, the Court ruled that
when a defendant makes an un Mirandized incriminating statement followed by a later
Mirandized confession, the subsequent confession should not be excluded from trial (see
Oregon v. Elstad, 470 U.S. 298 [1985]). The un Miranda situation was completely legal by the
police officers due to the factor that John wasn t being interviewed in the patrol car and at the
time of arrest. It is believed by society that the Police must advise Miranda warnings at the time

when a person is placed in custody which then deprives of his/her freedom in any significant way,
the police must advise by given a Miranda warning prior to interrogation of the suspect. (Police

High School Cliques In High Schools
Any teen movie ever made has successfully pushed the social hierarchal agenda. Look at any
John Hughes movie from the 1980 s and you ll see a familiar trend. The common stereotypical
high school cliques such as the popular crowd, the jocks, and the nerds flashed across the screen.
Ever since the inception of films geared towards teenagers, the idea of queen bees and
academically inept jocks was reinforced in a negative light. Creating anxieties for middle schoolers
around the world. Though these heavy stereotypes do plague many high schools, there are some
schools that seem to be exempt from the trend. Studies show the exemption could stem from the
size of the school. However, the amount of freedom the students have also made a difference when
it comes to social order. Daniel McFarland, a professor of educationat Stanford Graduate School of
Education, conducted a study monitoring two separate high schools on what causes cliques, and
why they occur. McFarland states in his research Larger schools that offer more choice and
variety are most likely to form hierarchies, cliques, and self segregation, ... In smaller schools,
and in smaller classrooms, you force people to interact, and they are less hierarchical, less
cliquish, and less self segregated. His study was conducted in two different high schools over two

American way of life. At first glance the idea of living in a country with very strict laws, such as
public canings for what we would call a minor offense, was mind blowing to me. How could this
be one of the happiest places in the world? Upon further study my mind was changed to some
degree, in fact I could see myself visiting there some day, but only have studing on the most current
laws. I think the United Stateswould be better off if we as a nation thought more about how our
individual actions affected those around us. If you were to visit Singapore, it is highly advised
that you first take time and review both their customs and strict laws. This country is not like any
other country you have been to before. From the time you arrive at Changi International Airport,
this difference is very apparent. You will see go through customs and or immigration, normal and
typical when arriving to a new country, but that is where the similarities end. You will see
numerous signs warning you of the public laws, that you are expected to obey without question.
No photography, smoking, or gum chewing is allowed (Buettner, 2011, p. 75). Think for a minute
how odd this might be. You have just arrived as a visitor and you cannot chew gum and you are
not allowed to take photographs!? After some further research I have found that this law of gum
chewing has been modified to some degree.

Punctuality And Its Effects On Our Lives And Functions On...
Ever since I became an adult, I have struggled to show up on time. I have been habitually late to
appointments, special occasions interviews and even jobs, to name a few. To make matters even
worse, punctuality is listed on my resume. Being late is obviously highly unfavorable and
inconvienient in a world that lives and functions on schedules, clocksand timezones. A recent
survey found 15 to 20 percent of the U.S. population is consistently late, especially when it
comes to work. (ABC) Who are America s least punctual workers? The poll suggests millennials
tend to show up late more often than older colleagues. 22 percent of them said they arrive late
for work at least once a week compared to just 15 percent of people aged 55 and older. A mere 38
percent of millennials said they never arrive late for work compared to 55 percent of older
workers. Considering the fact that I am a millennial, my continuous problem with punctuality
makes sense. According to the polls, of those who are late, millenials tend to arrive to work later
than people who are older. According to a recent survey, around 15 to 20 percent of the United
States population struggles with punctuality, especially when it comes to getting to work on time.
Both statistics apply to me as I am a millennial who has been late to work and late to occasions
that were non work related. Although I ve have a recurring problem with punctuality, this problem
can be solved easily. I have been chronically late ever

Case Study Of Anemia And Bleeding Disorders
Module 5 Assignment: Case Studies Anemia and bleeding disorders are common conditions that
affect the human blood. Anemia involves a decrease in both hemoglobin concentration and the
number of erythrocytes in the blood. As a result, the condition causes a decrease in the blood s
oxygen carrying capacity. On the other hand, bleeding disorders involve heavy and continuous loss
of blood. They are often classified into coagulationdisorders and platelet disorders. In the current
study, two different cases of anemiaand bleeding disorder were investigated.
Anemia
In a case of anemia, a 47 year old male patient presented with several symptoms. The patient was
asked whether he was experiencing dyspnea on exertion, as well as fatigue and general ... Show

Moreover, bone marrow biopsy revealed low iron stores and megaloblastic changes. The results
also showed normal levels of B12 but low levels of red cell folate and serum folate. The patient,
therefore, demonstrated an overall lack of iron in his blood, which suggested the presence of
anemia involving iron deficiency. Basically, iron deficiency decreases ferritin and decreases iron
stores in the bone marrow, which in turn causes the production of abnormal erythrocytes (Yadav et
al., 2016). Therefore, further assessment of the patient requires the identification of brittle nails,
angular cheilitis, and glossitis, which are associated with iron deficiency. Based on the laboratory
findings, the most likely diagnosis of the patient s condition is iron deficiency anemia. Accordingly,
the patient can be managed in several ways. First, the patient should be advised to discontinue
alcohol intake. Iron deficiency in the patient should be evaluated further, particularly by performing
a thorough gastrointestinal examination. Moreover, sixty mg of iron should be administered three
times every day to promote the normalization of Hct. In the case of unresponsiveness or intolerance
to the dose, alternative therapies like the use of iron sucrose and ferric gluconate are indicated.
Suitable antibiotic combinations have also been shown to reverse iron deficiency in patients
suffering from atrophic gastritis that is associated with Helicobacter pylori (Miernyk et al.,

General Grain Theory
A variety of programs attempt to achieve the crime control goals established by general strain
theory, but none are explicitly drawn from general strain theory. Restorative justice programs are
an example of this. These restorative programs aim to impose less severe sanctions on offenders to
reduce the risk of offenders viewing their punishment as unjust. This is accomplished by making
offenders aware of the harm they caused and allow offenders to have a say in the sanction they are
subjected to. The offenders also have a voice in mediating with the community and victim of their
crime, which in turn helps teach them to cope with strains through legitimate, non criminal means
(Agnew, 2006). These strategies would be beneficial in allowing students to realize the emotional...

The main reason students resort to weapons carrying, criminal coping, according to general strain
theory is their lack of legitimate coping mechanisms. Schools should be required to teach and offer
students non criminal ways of coping with strains in their life. Teacher mediation would be one
effective strategy to help eliminate strains or effectively deal with strains. When students are
suffering from bullying rather than turning to weapons carrying as a coping mechanism, students
should be taught to inform their teachers of the strain and deal with it through mediation. Mediation
is a way for negative emotions to be expressed and potentially eliminate the negative stimuli of
bullying from a student s daily life. Drawing from restorative justice, which is influenced by
general strain as theory, this tactic for combating weapons carrying could be shown to be very
effective. If utilized to its full potential general strain theory can be combined with other
criminological theories to produce effective policy to oppose weapons carrying in

Corporate Tax Rate And Its Effects On The United States

Apple owes 14.5 billion in back taxes to Ireland
On Tuesday, August 30 the European Union ordered Ireland to collect 14.5 billion in taxes from
apple. Europe s competition enforcer said that apple s deal with the Irish allowed the company to
pay basically nothing on its business. This deal allowed apple to pay only 50 euros for every
million euros in profit in 2014. However, Ireland s corporate tax rate is at 12.5% and is one of the
lowest in the developed world. This low tax rate is a huge incentive for companies to cut down on
their expenses.

After news of the exploding battery on Samsung s Note 7, the South Korean company has
decided to issue a recall of all 2.5 million phones. The company may have to spend nearly 1

timing of this recall couldn t have been worse. However, this recall may be worth the $1billon as it
could potentially save the company s reputation in the long run. Still, the $1 billion will only
represent less than 5% of the projected $20.6 billion in net income.

Organisations therefore need to execute flexibility in the workplace as it is a basic element to
overall workplace effectiveness. Flexibility is a methodology use to state when and how work

Themes In The Allegory Of The Cave
The Allegory of the Cave is a philosophical writing presented by a Greek philosopher named
Plato. The story lead us to explore about the truth of nature and how people perceive the truth.
Plato likens us and the world around us to the prisoners in the cave. By using symbols of
characters, set and actions, he tries to disclose his allegorical meaning. As story goes on, Pluto
reveals his belief on existenceof absolute truthand develops themes of truth and reality .
To begin with, why did Plato used prisoners in chains as characters? Pluto similitude us as the
prisoners who are imprisoned in the cave. The dark cave appears as a virtual prison where we

changed through series of discovery like the freed prisoner came out to a new reality. As
experience varies among each individual, things that a person come across becomes his or her

Medvec and colleagues set up the hypothesis that man can be ashamed to the extent of
committing suicide just because they have come in second placed. The fact of defeating the
others and being defeated by a single individual is what makes a person so devastated to the
extent of committing suicide. Johnson (1986) observes that a person s achievements often matter
less than how they have not been able to accomplish their objectives. He further states that being
the one of the best in the world has a lesser meaning if there is a person who is better than you.
The variables of the study are the person s expectations and personal satisfaction of the
people.Kahneman Miller, (1986) say that the people s objective and the subsequent outcomes affect
the functionality of the person. The intensity of the reaction of the people to particular events is
directly proportional to the greater or lesser outcomes. The researchers took the perfect scenario
from the athletes where thewinner is awarded the gold medal, the runner s up is awarded the silver
medal and the second runner s up is awarded the bronze medal. To many the one with the silver
medal is better offthan the one with the bronze medal. However James (1892) notes that the one
who has a bronze medal is more satisfied than the one awarded the silver medal. This is because
the runner s up is not satisfied with the outcome of the race and

Songs In Animal Farm
Knowing the correct information
One of the main theme in Animal Farm was the use of power in order to control animals in lower

Chemical engineering ranges from pharmaceutical to petrochemical industry, which is the main reason I choose it as it leaves me with wide option of careers once I graduate. Chemical engineer always have these question in mind how do we make it more efficient, durable and environmentally friendly? and living in developing country where our air is polluted, children die from malnutrition and fishes die from factory waste, sparked my interest in chemical engineeringto improve the situation in my hometown. Chemical engineering requires individual to be strong in both mathematics and chemistry. It also requires student to be able to think out of the box and think of alternative solution. My ability and deep interest in the subject can be seen from the various competition I took part in. In 2014, I took part in Science UNSW where I attained distinction (top 8% nationwide) and Singapore and ASEAN Mathematical Olympiad where I awarded silver; gold the following year. I also took part in Asia International Mathematical Olympiad in 2014 where I was awarded bronze. Just recently, I manage to attain bronze in C3L6. In these competitions, I learn about problem solving, critical thinking and tackling problem that I never see before. • 5. Anne Carson Essay Kiersten Baxley Professor Shirokova English 1102 12 September 2012 Anne Carson s Lessons Anne Carson is a very intelligent and well rounded writer. When I first read Anne Carson s Short Talks , I was seriously confused. At first, I thought she was an abstract writer that wrote just to write. But then I took a second look at her work and realized there was much more to it than just crazy jumbled ideas. Short Talks is a mixture of many elements. It has argumentation, facts, personal opinions, and an unconventional way of writing. As I was rereading the Short Talks , I noticed names, facts, and a lesson to go along with each Short Talk. This persuaded me to do some research so the stories would start to make more sense. After ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Elektra took this very hard, so she and her brother Orestes plotted revenge against her mother and step father. Elektra s father had been against things like this, but Elektra became so bitter she began to commit many crimes. So this short talk helps us decide between what is major and minor in our life. This helps to keep from overreacting over the small things in life. Another lesson comes from the short talk On Reading. This takes the reader back to their childhood. No, not everyone enjoys reading, but it is also great for you. In this short talk I got the imagery that this little girl was on a road trip with her parents, her father does not enjoy reading but she does. So while on the way to their destination, she reads Madame Bovary. While reading she takes a moment to look around at the sights passing through the window. This just gets the reader to truly think and assess the way they perceive the way they view reading. Having someone who enjoys reading, and someone who finds no pleasure in reading is what makes the world go round. Not everyone appreciates, or finds interest in the same things, but do not discourage anyone if you have no interest in it. If I were to write some short talks I could use an Anne Carson like writing style, or writing that flows eloquently. I would try to help the reader to understand what is being said, but to also think about what is before them. I would include an introduction in my short talks ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Atheist McAtheism, I m glad we re on the same page about our views of unquestioning faith; it is terrifying that people blindly believe things without having doubts or seeking to further their understanding. Have you ever considered that there could be a god of some sort? Have you questioned your atheistic beliefs and faith that there is nothing? From my experience, I know that all types of people hold various beliefs unquestioningly, including atheists. Contrary to your belief, I argue that the notion of a god is far from absurd. While these topics and proofs that I will discuss do not certainly, beyond a doubt, prove that there is a higher being, they definitely point to the existence of one, proving the notion of a god to be logical, with ... In the Old Testament animal sacrifices were required to create a clean space for God and humans to overlap, allowing human sin and ugliness to overlap with divine perfection and love. In the New Testament, Jesus becomes the permanent sacrifice to wipe away all of the ugly on our side of the overlap. He plays the role of bringing God and humans back together by taking sins away from sinners so that we appear perfect in God s eyes as Jesus was. Some say that life does not begin until birth. The issue of abortion has been the subject of debate for several decades. Religions in Australia have influenced attitudes and laws with regards to this issue in the past. Are the attitudes and involvement of Australian religions in the abortiondebate still relevant and do they make a difference? It was also found that religious belief and support for legal abortion are not mutually exclusive, with 77% of those who identify as religious also support a woman s right to choose (Children by Choice, 2012). The attitudes towards abortion have changed over the years. Since the 1980 s, opinion polls have shown that majority of Australians support abortion rights. In 1987 a poll conducted by Saulwick indicated about 7% of Australians would not approve of abortions under any circumstances. However, an ACNielsen poll in 2005 reported that 56% thought the current abortion laws, which generally allow abortion for the sake of life, health or economic factors, were fine, while 16% wanted a change in making abortion more accessible and 17% wanting to make changes to make it less accessible (Grattan, 2005). The debate regarding abortion among religions has been prominent for centuries. Many religions have different historical perspectives on the immorality of abortion, on whether it can ever be permitted, and how believers should respond (Society for the Protection of Unborn Children, 2016). There were three principles found to be of importance for this time of prison reform and they were, (1) separation of women prisoners from men, (2) provision of differential care, and (3) management of women s prisons by female staff (Clear, 2013). Basically the concern was female prisoners to be house separately from the male prisoners in a facility ran by female staff. Paintings are all about perception and what the viewers can take from the image mentally. In the article Advertising s Fifteen Basic Appeals , Jib Fowles gives the meaning of affiliation in advertisement. Fowles states, the need to associate with others is widely invoked in advertising (para. 18). Advertisers use this technique when they want the viewers to get involved. An artist may paint an image of a happily married couple, and this may make a single man want to be affiliated with women. Painters use this technique to bring people together. Also, Fowles breaks down the need to escape in advertisement. Fowles claims that advertisement gives the viewers the need to escape when we have a desire to duck out of our obligations (para. 52). When life becomes too oppressive we tend to seek for freedom. Many advertisements will show an image of people who is having the time of their life to try to target people who are at a low stage in life. From the biblical references in the naming of the characters, to the conflict of the play being entirely religiously motivated. The Jew of Malta reads like a religious history book; Catholics against Jews, Muslims against Catholics, and Jews against pretty much everyone. And although something feels off about reading that many anti Semitic stereotypes in one place, the work makes sure to criticize every group present in its pages, including the Christians. Protestants are completely absent from this narrative so it could be argued that Marlowe was going for a pro protestant message by pointing out the hypocrisy and corruption present in the other three major Abrahamic religions of Europe. Deets analyzed the relevance of The Jew of Malta s rampant biblical references, pointing out that Barabas serves as a mockery of many major characters from Job to the Antichrist. Deets explains, On Marlowe s great stage of fools and knaves, the protean Jew plays many parts, becoming alternately a mock Christ, a mock Job, a mock Abraham, and a mock Isaac (Deets 28). Yet Barabas is very far from a biblical success story, so this observation only strengthens the argument that Marlowe is seeking to reject religion for its short comings and promote a more enlightened world view. Deets further explains Barabas function as a Biblical parody, Barabas continues his mock imitation of Christ: he is betrayed by his supposed heir and leading disciple Ithamore; he is apprehended and condemned to death by the establishment; he undergoes a sham death and a bogus resurrection like everything in Barabas life, a purely physical rather than a spiritual ordeal (Deets 31). This profound parallel with biblical Christ is what leads to the conclusion that The Jew of Malta serves more as a criticism of religion in general than anything else. While the dilemmas of the reconstruction period were often caused by the Northern versus Southern ideals after fighting a bloody Civil War, or tackling racial inequality, the question of constitutionality of the era s laws were regarded as the essential piece to the time s strife. They depict different views and styles but share the same idea that God is the creator. Genesis 1 2 is the most popular and well known story that says God created everything in six days and the seventh day was rest. In the book of Job 38 40, the concept of creation was told to Job in order to make him understand why he was suffering and to perceive the ways of God. The first chapter in Genesis defines the beginning as being majestic and analytical. It demonstrates a limited description of how life will continue to be maintained in everyday growth and how the earth will continue to bring food for all living things (Gen. 1:29 30). Genesis also suggest that the Creator was a one time occurance at the beginning of time. It explains what God created each day and in chapter 2 clarifies the creation of man and woman. The role of parliament is mainly to legislate and to govern the United Kingdom through elected representatives. There have been headline grabbing notices of member s rebelling against the government position and resigning their position. • 30. Analysis Of The Road Not Taken By Robert Frost The Road Not Taken is a poem by Robert Frost that was written as a narrative based on him and his friend, Thomas Edward. Frost and Edward would take long walks together in the woods in England. There were always complaints at the end of their walks that they should have taken a different path. This inspired Frost to write this poem. It talks about great importance in our everyday lives and further suggests that any choicea person makes in life, how small it may seem at first, will always have some sort of impact on an individual in the future. The start of the poem is focused on a road divided. However, the conflict arises with the fact that the poet himself cannot be divided to take both paths. He is looking down a fork in the road. And as he is lost in thought as gazes down the two roads that look very similar in appearance, he understands that the choice that is made could potentially change his life. The two roads diverged in a yellow wood is an extended metaphor that represents the decisions that we are faced with every day. This first stanza is also a metaphor signifying that while we are free to choose things in life, we sometimes may not know what we are choosing between. The poem describes an emblematic impasse that many may face, both factually and symbolically. There are several forks in the road; those that force us one to make choices and decisions that will determine ones fate. It provides a view into the obstacles that are encountered in life and ... C. neoformans can undergo sexual reproduction that is due to crossing О± and a mating types, resulting in the formation of sexual spores or basidiospores (Buchanan and Murphy, 1998). It is an intracellular pathogen that affects more than one million individuals, resulting in over 700,000 deaths per year (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 2014). Individuals become infected with this pathogen when they inhale fungal particles from the various sources that C. neoformans is found in: bird guano, decaying vegetables and soil (Upadhya et al. 2013). These particles then enter the alveoli within the lungs. In individuals with a healthy immune system, the infection is cleared or stays dormant until an imbalance of the immune system occurs. However, in individuals with compromised immune systems such as those with HIV, cancer or those taking corticosteroid medications; the fungus can disseminate and enter the central nervous system. Symptoms include coughing, chest pain, fever, weight loss, pneumonia and respiratory distress syndrome as well as meningoencephalitis that is fatal if left untreated (Bose et al. 2003; Upadhya et al. 2013). Rape Fantasies By Margaret Atbeck Summary Sterilized Intrusion: Misinterpretation of the Human Feedback During the short story presented by Mary Gaitskill and her famous work, The Other Place (2011), there in the text, is provided displacement of what is a defection from normalization. The narrator presents himself as an apple tree in that his son, Douglas, demonstrates a similar affection for the destruction of human persistence to survive. In disturbance of collective headway, Margaret Atwood s RapeFantasies (1977), expresses a group of individuals whom take about a magazine as a conversational masterpiece through discussion of tolerable rape. Beings residing within society who take at their own preference to go to undesirable conditions to meet undesirable shadows of morally baseless beings. In such aspects, these stories offer a defection from their family and friends through enjoyment of viewing individual demise and request to be raped and violence enjoyment. Therefore, it is in these shortcomings that resolve is compiled through carefully constructed analysis of the situation for abandonment of morality; providing guidelines for conduct in municipal activities with removal of self endangerment at the basis of discussion. The problem lies within the mist of miscommunication from other resources. The inaction of these events whether it be wanted rape or entertaining harm with action are the foundation to a more formidable conclusion. Designing A New Branch Leader After reading Chapter 9 and looking back on my time spent working two summers at a grain elevator which also had its own agronomy department (using science and technology to help produce better crop yields), it became noticeably clearer that the company I was working for was making arrangements to hire a new branch leader. The elevator that I worked for was one of two branches for the larger company. The company has three branch managers along with a person in charge of overseeing the entire operation. My first summer the branch that I was working for hired a recent college graduate to aid the current branch manager with the day to day operations of the company. He was asked to have his hand in everything that took place within our branch of the company. Working three months that summer, I got to see the development procedures that they were putting him through. Although it did not apply to me, being a coach, I paid attention to the things they were having him, potentially hearing or seeing something that could benefit me in my profession. With him starting just a week after I had started, it allowed me to essentially everything they had designed for him thorough those first three months. Look at any John Hughes movie from the 1980 s and you ll see a familiar trend. Moreover, bone marrow biopsy revealed low iron stores and megaloblastic changes. The results also showed normal levels of B12 but low levels of red cell folate and serum folate. The patient, therefore, demonstrated an overall lack of iron in his blood, which suggested the presence of anemia involving iron deficiency. Basically, iron deficiency decreases ferritin and decreases iron stores in the bone marrow, which in turn causes the production of abnormal erythrocytes (Yadav et al., 2016). Therefore, further assessment of the patient requires the identification of brittle nails, angular cheilitis, and glossitis, which are associated with iron deficiency. Based on the laboratory findings, the most likely diagnosis of the patient s condition is iron deficiency anemia. Accordingly, the patient can be managed in several ways. First, the patient should be advised to discontinue alcohol intake. Iron deficiency in the patient should be evaluated further, particularly by performing a thorough gastrointestinal examination. Moreover, sixty mg of iron should be administered three times every day to promote the normalization of Hct. In the case of unresponsiveness or intolerance to the dose, alternative therapies like the use of iron sucrose and ferric gluconate are indicated.
