Over Independence Day weekend, I had some free time so I decided to watch a
movie. I narrowed it down between two choices, Life Itself which I eventually
went with and loved and There Will Be Blood. One of the reasons I chose Life

This music, with the harmonium playing in several tracks, is one of the most unique
scores I have ever heard. It does a great job at enhancing some of the tenser scenes,
such as the aforementioned three way conversation. It falters some, however, when it
becomes more conventional moments, such as the romantic encounters. The
normality of it feels out of place given the movie and what the score has sounded like

Although I liked these elements for the most part, I did have some problems with
Punch Drunk Love, and I think some of the blame lies with PTA s screenplay. My
biggest issue was I found the oddity of the film off putting. As you could probably
tell from my plot synopsis, this is a weird film in myriad ways. Due to this
strangeness, I found that I couldn t engage with the story or characters (who are
bizarre in their own right) because I could not identify with them as much.
A lesser problem of the movie is the chemistry between Sandler and Watson. They
have decent chemistry, but Sandler doesn t quite sell their relationship enough to
convince me of its authenticity. Moreover, I never understood why Watson s
character would fall for Barry. He s a bland, weird person. They initial encounters do
have something of a spark, and I totally get why Barry is into her, but I saw no

World was premised on political ideology. The power struggles following the
second World War saw the world being divided into blocs with the First World
Nations being classed as the Western bloc, comprising most of the countries of North

capitalist ideology and many had benefited from colonial power and trade. The
Second World Nations formed the Eastern bloc. They were under communist
influence dominated by the Soviet Union. In terms of advancement, the Second

socialist economies. There were many nations that did not align with either bloc and

Data and Methods As mentioned, the research method used for this study was
participant observation. This was further divided into three different segments. Each
of these segments featured its own distinct observation site and involved one hour of
observation per site.
Because this is a comparative study, observation sites needed to have certain
characteristics and were hence chosen on the basis of specific independent and
controlled variables. The independent variable was the density of the larger
surrounding area, while the controlled variables were the type of public space and
the zoning of the immediate area. Taking into account who I was observing, I
chose to narrow my choices to major commercial intersections. This created a
degree of consistency, while also allowing me to observe the greatest diversity of
road users possible (as cyclists, pedestrians, and drivers are all likely to converge at
major commercial intersections). Thus, I had to select three major commercial
intersections, one in a high density area, another in a medium density area, and the
last in a low density area.

A Long Way Gone by Ishmael Beah, published by Sarah Crichton Books in New
York in 2007, tells the haunting story of Ishmael Beah, a child soldier during the
Sierra Leone Civil War. The book begins in January of 1993 in Ishmael s small
village called Mogbwemo, located near Mattru Jong, Sierra Leone. A Long Way
Gone addresses a plethora of geographical issues such as refugees and population
movements, child exploitation, and most of all: war. Each of these issues directly
affects Ishmael, the autobiographer. In his book of memoirs, A Long Way Gone,
Beah uses his horrendous experiences as a young teenager thrown into the dead
heat of civil war to effectively argue that children have a right to their own
childhoods, and that children deserve to have their innocence remain in place until
they are older, not have it be stolen by the terror of war. His potent encounters and
experiences also highlight successfully the undeniable effects that geographical
problems are causing not just in Sierra Leone, but across the entire African

ages have led in different ways, shown unique attributes, and accomplished their
tasks or missions in a way that many have found to be one of a kind (Northouse,
2016). Leadership theories such as transactional and transformational leadership
have been used to classify many of our leaders of the past (Leadership Theories In
Chronological Order. (n.d.). Other leadership theories exist and offer the same
explanation of the types of leaders who shape and have shaped our world. Here we
will explore four of them which are; The Great Man Theory, LMX, or Leader
Member Exchange Theory, as well as Trait and Contingency Theory. Great Man
Theory.
The Great Man Theory became very popular in the 19th century (Leadership
Theories In Chronological Order. (n.d.). The theory was made based on the
behaviors of mostly military figures. During this time period, leadership positions
were held mostly by men, who passed their leadership positions from father to son.
This is believed to be the main reason for the name given Great Man Theory (

Spencer, a famous sociologist, said that great leaders were only a product of the

Corporate governance is a key element in improving the economic efficiency of a
bank. It should be fair and transparent to its customers and stakeholders in all its
transactions. A sound corporate governance also contributes to the protection of
depositors of the bank. It also involves the manner in which the business and affairs
of banks are governed by their board of directors and senior management, which

The Theory Of The Atom
The atom, a constituent particle of a molecule, affects every aspect of life. The theory
of the atom is a phenomenon that has occupied the minds of many scientists, who
implemented their knowledge and wisdom into experiments. The Ancient Greeks
were the first known to discover the existence of the atom. Throughout history the
definition of an atomhas been changed, added to, and reconfigured, to what we know
today.
Democritus was the first who suggested the mere existence of the atom.
Democritus lived in the 5th century BC in Ancient Greece as an Ancient Greek
Philosopher. He lived from 460 BC to 370 BC. He believed that atoms were
indivisible and indestructible, and that they moved in this void or never ending
space. Also, he believed atoms to be infinitely small, and that their size cannot be
diminished or compressed. He said that atoms did not have pores, were homogeneous
and could be arranged in many different ways. Because the scientific method had not
yet been created, Democritus lacked any experimental support for his atomic
philosophy. However, his ideas laid the groundwork for scientists to come.
There was a long hiatus on the study of the atom, but picked back up in the early
eighteenth century with a British chemist and schoolteacher with the name of John
Dalton. He lived in the early 1800s in England. He was born in Cumberland England
and died in Manchester. Dalton took Democritus s ideas, elaborated on them and
