Tricuspid atresia is a congenital heart defect characterized by the absence of the tricuspid valve and right atrioventricular connection, leading to a hypoplastic right ventricle. This condition impairs oxygenation of blood, necessitating the presence of an atrial septal defect and a ventricular septal defect for blood flow.
