Sherman Vs Germany
In World War II many tanks from all the nations were used in combat, but some of them were better
and some were worse than others. Focusing on two major tanks of WWII, the American M4 Sherman
and the German PanzerKampfwagenVI or more commonly known as the Tiger tank we are going to
see which one comes out on top. The reasoning for choosing these two tanks to compare is a simple
explanation, and that is because these tanks were very common in the war and both tanks fought
against each other on the battlefield so it is important to take the information from the war to see how
they stack up. During World War II America s Sherman tanks were not as well constructed compared
to Germanys Tiger tanks because of the time and specialized engineering that Germany put into their
tanks.
German Production
When the war began, Hitler had mass produced many tanks to fight against the Soviets. One tank
being the Panzer 1. This was a light tank that was fast to make and easy to maneuver. But the problem
was that it was only armed with machine guns. Hitler thought the ... Show more content on

Some of the features that made the Tiger bad were things just as simple as speed. The Tiger had a slow
moving turret so if a Sherman was moving around it, the tank would have a hard time trying to lock on
target. With big tanks comes a big problem as the majority of Tiger tanks produced did not get
destroyed by the Allies, but rather destroyed by themselves. The weight of the Tiger made it more
likely to get bogged down in the mud. It was harder to maneuver the tank through obstacles. And
when the crew realized the tank is stuck or immobilized, they would destroy the tank themselves with
explosives to prevent the tank from getting captured or used against them. The Tigers main 88mm gun
could penetrate 110mm of the armor at a range of 2,000 meters, which would punch right through the

Ancient People And Agriculture
Ancient people set a building block that we today still build upon. There are many ways ancient
people have done this, such as developing spoken language and inventing farming/agriculture. I think
that farming and agriculture had the biggest impact of all on society, from ancient to modern times,
because it helped people have a permanent home, develop more specialized jobs, and create new
technologies.
Before I start talking about farming and agriculture, I will explain a little about the history of it.
Farming and agriculture began during the Neolithic Era, or the New Stone Age, about 10,000 years
ago, first in Southwest Asia. The reason farming and agriculture was now possible was because the Ice
Ages ended. The Ice Ages were when there were long periods of freezing weather. During this time,
the whole ground would be covered in ice, and the sea levels were very low. The water was so low
that strips of land, called land bridges, let people cross rivers, seas, and maybe even oceans. Then, a

They did not have to be busy chasing herds of animals around just to stay alive, because the
introduction of farming and agriculture gave the community enough food. Because of their new
permanent homes, this also allowed them to develop new things, such as pottery, weaving, and even
one of the most important tools, the wheel. Farming and agriculture also gave people more freedom,
because now, since there is a reliable source of food, farms, there was much more free time that they
could spend on hobbies. The food surplus also freed people to specialize in jobs. People who are
talented at something, could choose that job, so they could be as productive to the community as
possible. They could also choose a job that they enjoyed to do. Also, permanent homes led to villages
developing, which then led to towns and

Those were the words of people who died on September 11TH. For many years, Arab and Arab
Americans are one of the most stereotyped in America. Many of these stereotypes have been created
by events that have happened throughout history. Stereotypes are an image of a particular type of
person or thing. Events in history, such as the September 11th terrorist attacks, the Patriot act, and the
Iranian hostage crisis, have perpetuated a negative image for Arabs in America. Arabic culture refers

The article Time to Get over the Iran Hostage Crisis by Stephen Kinzer, tells about the events during
the hostage crisis was all about how the militants took over the embassy. The influence of the crisis is
that they are still not treated with respect. The impact was awful for example Ever since then, the
image if Iran among most Americans has remained negative. (Kinzer) This quote explains how after
the crisis Americans never really forgave them. I think it is time for people to forgive but never forget.
This experience has made is stronger but they do not deserve to be treated unfairly.
Over the past years, many events have perpetuated images in Americans mind that all Arabs are

about terrorist attacks. There has been more security at big events. The TSA has more security

that stared after 9/11 is screening. They are people who watch passengers go through security and if
someone looks like they might have an alleviative other than flying they go through a screening. In a

American Women In The 1970 s
I think it is important to take time and actually think about all of the advancements women have made.
If you think about it we would not have some of the things we have today due to the women in past
standing up for they believe in. There is a quote that I cannot remember off the top of my head, but I
know that it is along the lines of saying a woman in general is powerful, but once she realizes how
truly powerful she is, you better watch out. Like Mary Richards, American women in the 1970s were
figuring out how to use their new powers to craft a good life (Collins 241). This quote is amazing
because there are so many women that do not see their potential. Everything is just a matter of you can
do anything you put your mind to and it was not until the 1970 s that women were starting to come
around to see what they were truly capable of.
I wonder what it was like back then to be the epitome of a great athlete and still not be taken seriously.
Not only could ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I sincerely mean that when I say I did not know. The fact that in 1974 Congress passed a ban on sex
discrimination is actually just surprising because I never realized that women were discriminated this
severely. Just by reading I was almost felt as if I was being offended by Sylvia Peterson s client. To
me it sounds like people just did not have a filter. Her client said to her when she asked why she was
given the cold shoulder after buying a house, Well, you bought this house, her client retorted. You can
t buy a house without being married (Collins 251). How about we stop jumping to conclusions? I have
gotten a sense that this book is just full of conclusion jumpers. For example, women are just
automatically bad at sports and if you did this then that means you did that. I think it is pretty sad
actually that Sylvia was not even able to buy herself a house without getting attacked, even after doing
nothing

Oedipus The King Vs Jocasta Essay
Plays are meant to be watched not just to be read. A play by definition is a dramatic performance. Do
you realize there are many more benefits to watching plays rather than reading plays? Watching plays
keep all the characters in the storyline, permits you to see emotions and heightens your experiences.
When you watch a play the audience is aware of all the characters weather they have speaking lines or
not. When reading a play the reader loses characters that do not show up on the page as they have no
speaking lines. The characters have a presence on stage interacting with the other characters even
without dialogue. Characters may use body language without words to convey meanings. As seen in
Oedipus the King, Jocasta has a few lines ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Some of the ways the character emotions are expressed are by body language, facial expression and
movement. The dramatic performance adds to the developing and understanding of each character. As
in the play Oedipus the King, Jocasta appears on stage listening to Oedipus describe his fate. Her face
shows great concern as she covers her mouth in disbelief. The audience is aware that Jocasta
understands what has happened. She knows the entire plot. In print the reader is unaware that Jocasta
realizes the truth to the tragedy. Characters mood and emotions on stage add to the meaning of the
play. Plays are meant to be experienced. Characters come alive through their actions, mood, and
costumes. Watching a play becomes a multi sensory experience. The audience gains the benefit of the
playwright s script along with the actors interpretations and research. The stage lighting is used to add
to the mood and meaning of the story. Along with the lighting there are sound effects to enhance your
experience. Watching gives all these experiences where reading only gives dialogue. The dramatic
performance heightens the experience. There are many more benefits to watching plays rather than
reading plays. Watching plays adds to your experience, allows you to see characters emotions, and
keeps all characters n view. Watching plays far exceeds reading plays. So turn up your inner emotions

Factors that Leads Teens to Commit Suicide
Several factors, emotional and physical, can contribute to a teen s decision to take his or her own life.
Adolescent suicide rates have no doubt risen over the past 50 years, but the question is, why? As our
world continues to advance decade by decade, modern day teenagers experience problems that are
quite different than those faced by teens from previous generations. One distinct, modern influence of
teenage suicide is social media. Naturally, most teenagers today own or have access to a smart phone,
computer, or other device that can be used to connect to the internet and view a countless number of
social websites. Social media can be entertaining and a fun, fast way to connect with friends and
family, but it also has its ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Some parents often put an extreme amount of pressure on their teen regarding his or her school work,
athletic abilities, or even body image. In other cases, parents can verbally or physically abuse their
child, creating feelings of worthlessness. The growing divorce rate in the United States may also
contribute to the increasing teen suicide rate. As of 2012, the average divorce rate in America was
approximately fifty percent, meaning that half of all U.S. marriages would legally end in divorce (
Divorce Rate 1). Divorce can have a tremendous effect on not only one family as a whole, but most
harmfully, the children. Lastly, the availability of handguns in the home has much greater
consequences than one might imagine. Averaging at forty five percent, death by the use of a firearm is
the most popular suicide method of people between the ages of ten and twenty four ( Suicide
Prevention 1).
Adolescence is the key period of development in which teens are trying to find themselves, resulting
in risk taking and exploration. Teenagers often struggle during this stage because they are not sure of
where they fit in society, school, or occasionally their own family. For example, during adolescence,
some teens come out as being homosexual. Homosexuality is not wrong; however, sometimes others
simply don t understand or frown upon young people who claim to be gay, lesbian, or bisexual. Being

It s clearly that using lead paint is bad but let those toys get to the customer isn t it worst? If I own a
car toy factory and I allow my neighbor to produce my car and my neighbor use toxic paint to paint
them then we are both in the wrong. So both Mattel and the Chinese contractor are equally to blame.
Mattel also have problems with their design, the magnet fall out too easy.
As they are losing their reputation and subcontractors, Mattel should really do something to avoid
these issues. In my opinion, firstly, Mattel should improve its design and carefully exam the toy before
launch them out. Secondly, they should also improve their supervisor over the products and make sure
all of them pass the high standards request. Thirdly, Mattel should investigate contractors and audit the
subcontractor and if necessary, provide them the information about their product high standard and
safety.

Symbolism In John Steinbeck s The Grapes Of Wrath
The Grapes of Wrath is a novel written by John Steinbeck. This story explains how Tom Joads and his
family are forced to leave their home because a big business took over. This big business caused
families to change their whole life style, as well as starting a whole new life at a brand new place.
Steinbeck is trying to portray the disadvantage of a capitalist system through the landowners who are
taking advantage of small farmers and their family through the use of symbolism. Steinbeck may have
written this novel to show people what is going on at the time. An example from the book is how it
shows the consequences of a large business and the little people that it effects. In the beginning of the
book people are working on the land to survive.

there will always be new sounds to keep you entertained.
With so many different types of music out there, there is most likely something for everybody to

of music that sort of combines lyrics into a beat that hits hard and is fast paced. Trap became really
popular about 3 years ago, and is still a very popular genre. Out of all the music I listen to, I have no

The ancient peoples would not have been able to move all of those tones and set them up in
complicated forms because they did not have advanced technologies to move them or to construct
temples (from the ones before the technology to build was invented). It has been hypothesized that
these extraterrestrials have come to planet Earth and inspired the early humans to explore. The aliens
would come down to Earth and gather in circles. That is why all over the world there are circle shaped
structures made of something that symbolizes power, such as a rock. Only the extraterrestrials with
their advanced technology would be able to lift the rocks and place them, especially the ones that
overlap each other. There even is proof that they actually have visited. In the writing of the ancient
people, it has been recorded that there is strange creatures that come from the celestial bodies. This
has been recorded in the history of several ancient peoples. They all seem to be intertwined for they all
similarly explain the same things: they gather in a circle and communicate with the humans. In the
end, they inspire them to create new technology and to explore. As I have written before, they created

The Advantages And Disadvantages Of Digital Radiography
Digital radiography (DR) is a revolutionary invention in radiography. With this technology, no cassette
is needed for an x ray examination meaning that there is no need to reload films or to erase imaging
plate in every examination. This is a distinctive feature which conventional radiography and computed
radiography (CR) do not have. DR was first introduced in 1996 (Carroll, 2011). Miniature electronic x
ray detectors are used as the image receptor. The detectors enable the direct capture of the x ray image
without conversion steps (like the conversion of x ray photos into light photons). This technology is
widely used nowadays since it has many advantages and it brings much convenience to radiographers.
One of the main advantages of DR is image post processing in which the quality of the film (in terms
of contrast and brightness, etc.) can be adjusted to reach the desired standard. Therefore, the tolerance
of the deviation of the exposure factors is greater and the need of repeating the examination is greatly
reduced so the patient dose is reduced. This follows the as low as reasonably achievable principle for
radiation protection and this also improve the final image quality simultaneously. Besides, many DR
systems were installed with preset for numerous anatomical studies which can improve the post
processing. Like CR, the images produced are in digital format so this provides convenience for
radiographers to store and retrieve the image easily. DR is also capable to work with PACS ... Show

The Arts and Crafts Movement started in England during the 19th century evironmental effects from

certain parts of the world, and water is very essential to living. If they can t have drinking water, how
do we expect them to have water to clean them as well? With the toxic wastes being a big controversy,
we as a whole need to stand up and fix this problem for everyone. People only want to take control
when it is hitting home, with their neighbors and family and friends. What few have failed to realize, it
has been in our homes as well.
There is a difference between toxic waste and hazardous waste that many people don t know about.
People just categorize all negative aspects of waste as hazardous, even though neither one is good for
yourself or the environment. Toxic waste is when only the negative is digested or absorbed, then in
can be harmful to the body. This includes things that can cause birth defects, injuries, or death to
living organisms. While hazardous waste is when it is a solid, liquid, or gas that contains one or more
of these properties; reactive, can be ignitable, can corrode, or has toxicity and which may have to be
handled, stored, transported, and disposed of in a controlled manner.
According to the California Department of Toxic Substances Control, hazardous waste is described as
a waste that has substances in it that can make it harmful to human health

Song Analysis Of Hotel California
Everyone makes mistakes at some point in their lives. As an adolescent many are told to learn from
you mistakes, but an abundant amount of adults do not tend to live by that. Many times, people are
blinded by wealth, reputation, and success. Rather than making the right decisions, they disregard
their previous choices of action instead of learning from them. Hotel California s message is trying to
revert its listeners back to their childhood ways. The iconic track hit the music industry with its soulful
lyrics and its innovative sound in 1976. The album as well as the song is titled Hotel California . In
Hotel California, The Eagles relay to the listener that if one takes the risk, they must suffer the
consequences by using metaphor, assonance, and imagery.
The Eagles use rhythmic patterns in their lyrics that further portrays the main characters feelings
before and after he has to compensate. When The Eagles sing, She got the mercedes bends/She got a
lot of pretty, pretty, boys that she calls friends, this connects the two sentences to help the listener
further understand how the main character noticed the odd quirks about the situations and actions of
his peers (line 30).The use of assonance provides a more indepth outlook about the leading woman in
the song. Her situation was strange in the sense that her surroundings were very unlikely to achieve.
She seems to be substantially wealthy considering she is stranded in the middle of the desert without
occupation.

Rogers seems therefore to be describing an emotional consequence resulting from what the
behaviourist BF Skinner called positive and negative conditioning. He conceptualised Conditions of
Worth as the limited ways in which a person could see him or herself as being valued. The formulation
was also influenced by psychoanalyst Erik Erikson and his ideas of the early stages of development.
Rogers asserted that the child who learns trust and a sense of personal control are more likely to have
a sense of self agency and robustness in the face of later difficulties. This comes about when conflicts
find a successful resolution leaving both parties emotionally respected and intact. Thus Rogers more
developed model of how a child is socially instructed can encompass concepts such as shame
(Psychoanalysis), Modelling (Albert Bandura) and ideas of Internalization, amongst many others, and
as such is more of a meta model of growth of the personality.

Narra Tor Rhyme Scheme
Along with visual aspects, rhyme, and rhythm Love and a Question also has a specific form, language,
and ideas. The form of the poem in relation to the rhyme scheme is a simple 4 line which is an abcb
rhyme scheme repeated throughout the poem; Robert Frost does not stray away from the abcb rhyme
scheme once during Love and a Question. The rhetoric in this poem expresses the speaker as a
descriptive individual. The narrator describes the stranger asking for shelter with the eyes more than
the lips, and he road this stranger travelled upon as a weary road, such word choice implies the
narrator is a very eloquent and thoughtful (21). The narra tor sees the need in the stranger s eyes for
shelter and notes the tiring journey this stranger has been on thus far, this rhetoric also demonstrates
specific word choice of the narrator. The narra tor chose words like weary to express the long and
tiring journey the stranger has been on up till this point, the road he traveled to get to the bridegroom s
house was extensive and wearing (21). Another example of word choice by the narrator is the word

Slavery American Slavery
Slavery in America has always been a widely discussed topic. Many of these discussions have be
focus on why slavery grew so rapidly between the late 1700 s and the mid 1800 s just before the Civil
War. The number of slaves in the south during the late 1700 s was approximately 500,000, this number
grew to almost four million by the 1860 s. There is evidence to support that the perpetuation and
expansion of black slavery in the United States between 1776 and 1860 was influenced by greed, a
since of white superiority, and legislation. A combination that would lead to an eventual civil war.
Greed was a major driving force in the expansion of black slavery in the in the 18th and 19th
centuries. This expansion of slavery was a cycle that would perpetuate itself. Plantation owners would
realize early on that the ownership of slave would increase their socioeconomic status and the greed
for this status was enormous. The use of slaves would create higher profit margins for the plantation
owners. With higher profits, plantation owners could purchase more land, and with more land came
the need for more labor (slaves) to operate the larger plantation. A larger plantation would lead to
owner coming into power within the local government as a top land owner. The political power that
came with local government leadership also became lusted after. At the time, the greed for more
money birthed the greed for more land, the greed for more land birthed the greed for political power.

The Ethical And Unethical Behavior
One of the greatest challenges of moral reasoning involves deciding where to draw the line between
an ethical and unethical behavior. Morals help us determine what actions are right and wrong. We
must consider all the good and bad consequences when deciding if an action is right or wrong. While
some actions are clearly right, others are clearly wrong; sometimes our judgment may become cloudy,
causing it to be difficult to make the right decision, and that s when there is a conflict of interest.
Conflict of interest always leads to bad outcome because your judgment is being influenced; it s an
unethical behavior. One moral dilemma we come across in today s society is bribery. Bribery is the
practice of extortion; bribery and extortion have many elements in common therefore it can easily be
misunderstand as the other. Bribery is the offering of anything of value, such as gifts or money, in
exchange to do something illegally; it is a way of getting preferential treatment and inherent
favoritism. The world s largest foreign bribery case was against Siemens AG. Extortion is
blackmailing, a crime where one person forces another person to do something against his own will;
obtaining something by illegal threats such as getting another s money or property through force.
Bribery is an unethical practice because it involves conflict of interest; it corrupts both the giver and
recipient because it involves a breach of trust. Bribery is a crime against trust. While bribery is viewed

In week one we performed a qualitative solubility test of our fats and oils, synthesized our soaps and
detergents, and performed a solubility test and lathering test for the soaps and detergents. We wanted
to test the solubility of our starting materials of the soap making process to understand the properties
of the materials. In our initial solubility test of the starting materials, we found that most of the
materials were insoluble. As you can see in Table 2.0, olive oil and vegetable oil were only soluble in
toluene and the shortening and lard were only partially soluble in acetone. In order to understand the
solubility of the soaps and detergents, after our synthesis and filtration, we performed a qualitative

As shown in Table 3.0, it was difficult to stir and combine the shortening and the lard with the sodium
hydroxide and glycerol. Though the oil based soaps were easy to make, they did not yield as much
compared to the fat based soaps. Table 6.0 shows that Soap 3 which was shortening based and Soap 4
which was lard based produced 11.18 g and 11.22 g, respectively. This was a much greater yield than
the oil based soaps. Soap 1 which used olive oil yielded 3.154 grams and soap 2 using vegetable oil
yielded 1.319 grams. This was something to consider when choosing which starting material to use
and depends on whether ease of synthesis or greater yield is more important. The detergent synthesis
methods were very similar but method 2 took less steps and was a bit easier than method 1. Table 6.0
shows that detergent 2 had a greater yield, 5.143 grams whereas detergent 1 had a yield of about 4
grams. The lathering test showed that though soaps 3 and 4 produced the most product of the soaps,
they did not create many bubbles or a good lather according to Table 7.0. The soaps/detergents that
produced the most bubbles were soap 1 which used olive oil followed by detergent 1 and then soap 2

Locust and The Bird: My Mother s Story ), and finally how I perceive them according to what I read
in Tayeb Salih s novel: Season of Migration to the North .
To begin with, how others perceive the Arabs is a tricky viewpoint to tackle, since it s not at all
objective, and would be influenced by many religious ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Clearly, the religious aspect, in their lives in the village, makes up an important part of their identities.
Actually, lots of references of their religion, Islam, are noted throughout the novel; every few pages or
so The Koran or the act of prayer is mentioned: My father, having finished his prayers and recitations
from the Koran... (Salih, 1969, p.2). Also, they use prayer times as a reference for their daily schedule.
They even interfere religion in most of their social matters; for example the narrator was asked about
the European women and their culture: They say that the women are unveiled and dance openly with
men... , Wad Rayes also posed a question implying that foreigners are sinners: That they don t marry
but a man lives with a woman in sin? (Salih, 1969, p.3). All this shows, how important religion is in
their lives. However, a contradiction does appear between religion and sexuality. For example, many
inappropriate sexual references were made concerning the women and their treatment as pure sex
preys. Actually, while sitting with his neighbors, Wad Rayes confessed of his will to marry so that he
can enjoy sexual pleasures once more: In any case, there s no pleasure like that of fornication (Salih,

The Theme of Colonialism in Shakespeare s Tempest Essay...
The Tempest, by Shakespeare, offers the reader a variety of themes. The one theme that stands out the
most is that of colonialism. During the time of Shakespeare, many European countries such as Spain,
France, and England, were expanding their borders by taking over less developed countries, referred
to as colonies. During this time of exploitation, there was skepticism concerning the possible success
of the colonies. While some scholars believe that the play is about the Americas, I argue that the play
reflects on colonialism in general and how it is destined for failure which is shown through the
character s relationships throughout the play. During the 1600 s the English decided to have people
colonize in the Americas for the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Due to these debates, it s possible that Shakespeare has contemplated on the different views on
colonization and decided not only to create the setting of the play on an island, but uses the storm in
the first act as way to create excitement and danger and also to reference to the perils of the struggle of
exploration. Also the title of the play is The Tempest which also hints how powerful the storms of the
ocean are, that it can determine the fate of many people as seen in the play; and is relatable to real life
events such as the one described earlier. The Tempest also reflect the concerns of the times such as the
exploration of foreign lands and struggles for power and the colonization of lands as seen in the role
of the characters in the play. The roles the characters have in the play are an essential in the expression
of colonization and how it destined for failure. In The Tempest, Shakespeare shows hints of
colonization problems in a subtle manner. The character Prospero, for example, can be seen playing
the role of the colonist, because he was usurped from his dukedom for neglecting his duties as a duke,
he sees the island as a way to be able to exercise the power he had but did not exercise in his
dukedom. In this case, he s able to use all the knowledge and magic he knows to be able to conjure up
the storm and to be able to control nature. His control over

Implementing A Performance Management Communication
Implementing a Performance Management Communication An effect communication plan is a critical
part of performance management. Performance management affects everyone in the organization. It
helps employees understand how they are contributing to the organizations goals, what is expected of
them, how they are doing, and how they can continue to grow, develop, and add value to the business
(Duggan, n.d.). The communication plan describes what the organization wants to accomplish based
on the information they provide their employees such as, the objectives and outcomes identified. The
communication plan should outline individual responsibilities for everyone that is involved in the
performance process. In addition, the communication plan acts as a tool to ensure that everyone has
the right information in a timely manner (Duggan, n.d.). Therefore, effectively communicating a
performance management plan will ensure that all participants have a clear and complete message,
while ensuring that feedback is incorporated into the message (Todericiu, Muscalu, Fraticiu, 2012).
Communication Plan An effective communication plan should address the following questions for all
employees within the organization. Without an effective plan, the organization can suffer from
misunderstandings, lack of information, decrease in performance, and suffer from increased employee
turnover.
What is Performance Management? Every employee within the organization should understand what

Focusing on two major tanks of WWII, the American M4 Sherman and the German PanzerKampfwagenVI or more commonly known as the Tiger tank we are going to see which one comes out on top. The reasoning for choosing these two tanks to compare is a simple explanation, and that is because these tanks were very common in the war and both tanks fought against each other on the battlefield so it is important to take the information from the war to see how they stack up. During World War II America s Sherman tanks were not as well constructed compared to Germanys Tiger tanks because of the time and specialized engineering that Germany put into their tanks. The Tiger had a slow moving turret so if a Sherman was moving around it, the tank would have a hard time trying to lock on target. With big tanks comes a big problem as the majority of Tiger tanks produced did not get destroyed by the Allies, but rather destroyed by themselves. The weight of the Tiger made it more likely to get bogged down in the mud. It was harder to maneuver the tank through obstacles. And when the crew realized the tank is stuck or immobilized, they would destroy the tank themselves with explosives to prevent the tank from getting captured or used against them. There are many ways ancient people have done this, such as developing spoken language and inventing farming/agriculture. I think that farming and agriculture had the biggest impact of all on society, from ancient to modern times, because it helped people have a permanent home, develop more specialized jobs, and create new technologies. Before I start talking about farming and agriculture, I will explain a little about the history of it. Farming and agriculture began during the Neolithic Era, or the New Stone Age, about 10,000 years ago, first in Southwest Asia. The reason farming and agriculture was now possible was because the Ice Ages ended. The Ice Ages were when there were long periods of freezing weather. During this time, the whole ground would be covered in ice, and the sea levels were very low. The water was so low that strips of land, called land bridges, let people cross rivers, seas, and maybe even oceans. Then, a warm ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Farming and agriculture also gave people more freedom, because now, since there is a reliable source of food, farms, there was much more free time that they could spend on hobbies. The food surplus also freed people to specialize in jobs. People who are talented at something, could choose that job, so they could be as productive to the community as possible. If you think about it we would not have some of the things we have today due to the women in past standing up for they believe in. There is a quote that I cannot remember off the top of my head, but I know that it is along the lines of saying a woman in general is powerful, but once she realizes how truly powerful she is, you better watch out. Like Mary Richards, American women in the 1970s were figuring out how to use their new powers to craft a good life (Collins 241). This quote is amazing because there are so many women that do not see their potential. Everything is just a matter of you can do anything you put your mind to and it was not until the 1970 s that women were starting to come around to see what they were truly capable of. As of 2012, the average divorce rate in America was approximately fifty percent, meaning that half of all U.S. marriages would legally end in divorce ( Divorce Rate 1). Divorce can have a tremendous effect on not only one family as a whole, but most harmfully, the children. • 18. The Advantages And Disadvantages Of Digital Radiography Digital radiography (DR) is a revolutionary invention in radiography. With this technology, no cassette is needed for an x ray examination meaning that there is no need to reload films or to erase imaging plate in every examination. This is a distinctive feature which conventional radiography and computed radiography (CR) do not have. DR was first introduced in 1996 (Carroll, 2011). Miniature electronic x ray detectors are used as the image receptor. The detectors enable the direct capture of the x ray image without conversion steps (like the conversion of x ray photos into light photons). This technology is widely used nowadays since it has many advantages and it brings much convenience to radiographers. One of the main advantages of DR is image post processing in which the quality of the film (in terms of contrast and brightness, etc.) can be adjusted to reach the desired standard. Therefore, the tolerance of the deviation of the exposure factors is greater and the need of repeating the examination is greatly reduced so the patient dose is reduced. This follows the as low as reasonably achievable principle for radiation protection and this also improve the final image quality simultaneously. Besides, many DR systems were installed with preset for numerous anatomical studies which can improve the post processing. In Hotel California, The Eagles relay to the listener that if one takes the risk, they must suffer the consequences by using metaphor, assonance, and imagery. The Eagles use rhythmic patterns in their lyrics that further portrays the main characters feelings before and after he has to compensate. When The Eagles sing, She got the mercedes bends/She got a lot of pretty, pretty, boys that she calls friends, this connects the two sentences to help the listener further understand how the main character noticed the odd quirks about the situations and actions of his peers (line 30).The use of assonance provides a more indepth outlook about the leading woman in the song. Her situation was strange in the sense that her surroundings were very unlikely to achieve. She seems to be substantially wealthy considering she is stranded in the middle of the desert without occupation. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

He conceptualised Conditions of Worth as the limited ways in which a person could see him or herself as being valued. The formulation was also influenced by psychoanalyst Erik Erikson and his ideas of the early stages of development. Rogers asserted that the child who learns trust and a sense of personal control are more likely to have a sense of self agency and robustness in the face of later difficulties. This comes about when conflicts find a successful resolution leaving both parties emotionally respected and intact. Many of these discussions have be focus on why slavery grew so rapidly between the late 1700 s and the mid 1800 s just before the Civil War. The number of slaves in the south during the late 1700 s was approximately 500,000, this number grew to almost four million by the 1860 s.
