Vikash Pathak And George W Bush s Themes Of Unity
Unity JK Rowling once said, We are only as strong as we are united, as weak as we are divided . This
quote is stating that unity is needed for a country in tough times. Unity is what holds our country and
society together. In George W. Bush s Address to the Nation, he is trying to keep his country unified
after the 9/11 terrorist attack. He had to inspire and insure his country that the government and the
military were supporting them. Vikash Pathak gave the speech Important India, this speech was given
to show the significance of sticking together as a country and as a society. The speech Important India
by Vikash Pathak and George W Bush s address to the Nation both reflect a similar theme of Unity.
Bush s Address to the Nation portrays the message of standing together throughout a tough situation,
unifying that, Pathak s essay communicates that without unity, a society will fail. George W Bush s
Address to the Nation after 9/11 showed the need for unity, and it was needed to keep the United
States of America strong in this tough situation. 9/11 was a tragic terrorist attack made on the United
States of America in 2001, this event shocked the nation and the world. President Bush made this
Address to the Nation with the intent of unifying all citizens. Bush stated, This is a day when all
Americans from every walk of life unite in our resolve for justice and peace. (Bush). President Bush
also made the Address to the nation to calm citizens down and explain the

Religious Experience Research Paper
The term religious experience can come up with a wide range and diverse series of images. We might
assume that it can include anything from a prayer, to attending a service at a place of worship, to even
hearing the voice of God . The argument for the existence of God based on religious experience is in
fact a posteriori as it is based on people s encounters with God. Unlike other arguments, the argument
is based on a direct link to God if we are able to show that God is experienced then we therefore
cannot deny his existence. Many people are more likely to believe something if it has been
experienced. Our experience of God is the best evidence we have that God exists.
There are many definitions of religious experience which include one from Rudolph Otto who stated
the term numinous for the feeling of the presence of a greater being, which is with you but yet

This feeling is termed mysterium tremendum et fascinans , whereby there is a fear of the fascinating.
Other than this the psychologist William James does also study a lot of religious experiences, and in
his lectures entitled On the Varieties of Religious Experience he clearly outlines four key
characteristics which go on to define a religious experience. First there s a sense of noetic quality,
which means that by virtue of the experience the subject becomes aware of some revelation. Also
Religious experiences tend to be transient, so that whilst the experience may have a profound effect
upon the subject, it lasts a relatively short period of time, and often the details are forgotten
afterwards. The experiences are usually ineffable, so this makes it particularly

A Picture Of The Modern Day Father Figure

A Picture of the Modern Day Father Figure
. The quintessential Father figure of the early 20th century was characterized by being the main
breadwinner and disciplinarian of the family. Although he viewed himself as a role model, he had very
little involvement in the nurturing and caregiving of his children. However, as soon as this idea about
the role of the father became the norm, it was already undergoing an immense amount of change. With
the growing acceptance of feminist ideals, gender roles have become more neutral, and economic
trends have brought higher levels of financial equality to woman over the years. Subsequently,
contemporary parenting has begun to redefine the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the recent Pew Research Center study, Growing Number of Dads Home with the Kids: Biggest
increase among those caring for family, Author Gretchen Livingston claims that the main reason why
many fathers stay at home with their children is either due to disability or unemployment, yet the
fastest growing category of stay at home dads, increasing four fold since 1989, are dads who choose to
stay home to take care of home and family (6).
The Pew report statistics give a clear picture of how family dynamics have shifted in recent years, but
it still leaves the question: why are more fathers choosing to take on the role of caregiver, rather than
the more traditional role of breadwinner as did fathers in past generations? Like most sociological
questions of this nature, the answer is complex. According to the academic journal I Feel Like a Rock
Star : Fatherhood for Stay at Home Fathers by Catherine Richards Solomon, two of the main reasons
fathers are choosing to stay home with their children these days include: their wives having higher
earning potential, and the couples belief that one parent staying at home with the child plays a crucial
role in the well being of the family (7 8). While all of the parents in Solomon s study valued the idea
of one parent staying home, they held no distinction about what sex makes a better caregiver
(Solomon, 9). Solomon herself writes Although for

Subject: Shamrock manufacturing
Date:
The Shamrock Manufacturing Chicago plant manager, Sean Fitzpatrick is contemplating replacing a
large piece of manufacturing equipment. Mr. Fitzpatrick is also inline for a promotion to Shamrocks
larger Houston plant within the next year, and is hesitant to make any decisions that will reduce short
run operating income and his performance evaluation. While the prospective replacement equipment
promises to reduce cash operating costs, it costs $90,000, as well as the loss on disposal cost of the old
equipment, which has not fully depreciated. Prior to making a decision, Mr. Fitzgerald must identify

All relevant costs located in worksheets #2, and #3 indicate that Shamrock manufacturing will benefit
by replacing the machines at either equipment cost. However, worksheet #1 presents a problem for
Mr. Fitzgerald as it shows a $6500 increase in the first year expenses, which are irrelevant in the long
run, but may encourage Mr. Fitzgerald not to purchase the new equipment because it may reflect badly
on the short run net operating income of his plant during the evaluation period for his promotion.
Worksheet #3 offers a breakeven scenario in the first year and a $24,000 reduction in relevant cash
flows in year two, which is the best option for Mr. Fitzgerald and Shamrock, if available.

Year 10 Geography Research Report
YEAR 10 GEOGRAPHY RESEARCH REPORT:
Introduction:
Cronulla is a beachside suburb in southern Sydney, it is located 34.0574° S, 151.1522° E which is 26
kilometres south of the Sydney CBD (see figure 2). It is governed by the Sutherland Shire Council.
Cronulla s coastal environment is on the Kurnell Peninsula, which is made up of a tombolo. A tombolo
is a sand spit connecting a rocky outcrop or island to the mainland. So this forms a barrier between
Botany Bay and Bate Bay. The two areas of study visited were Wanda Beach and the Greenhills Beach
development.
A healthy dune system contains a primary and secondary dune defined by the start of vegetation as
you progress from the swash and berm. The vegetation helps stabilise the landform helping to protect
it from erosion, it also helps the soil in the secondary dune to become more stable and erosion
resistant. The decaying plant material creates humus which makes the soil more nutrient allowing
greater plant diversity.
At Wanda Beach, the tall trees and scrubs act as a windbreaker which further protects the sand
formation. According to the field work results collected using the anemometer (see figure 3), the
Aeolian processes at the front and the top of the primary dune is where the wind speed is highest. So it
is important to plant plants such as the hairy spinifex to stabilise the sand due to its expansive root
system and its ability to survive low water conditions.
Management Strategies:

treatments only delay the end result of blindness. Surgery depends on the potential of vision.
Performing a delicate endolaser cyclophatocoagulation (ECPC) laser surgery may reduce the chances

Should Books Be Taught In Schools
Throughout the course of education, certain books are an informative resource to develop and learn
new knowledge in progressing the brain ability to understand fundamental issue. The United States
educational school boards and professors have the responsibility for protecting their student s mind
and cover the appropriate material for their students decision. However, does this responsibility cover
the extreme act of no dignity from challenging certain books in the school library or public library?
The repetition of censoring books in school has been widespread due to the explicit content of
inappropriateness. Oftentimes books are challenged without literally understand the content by
judging the author s covers. When a book consists of offensive or sexual material, then parents would
challenge the schools to prevent their children from reading them. Certain kinds of books are being
challenged, challenge or banned books infringed upon the student s freedom to read what they want in
school which leads to ignorance on controversial topics.

Endocrine System Is The Most Important System
Have you ever wondered what endocrine system is or what it does? Ever wondered what it was made
up of or how it helps with functioning our bodies? Well, the endocrine system is really important just
as all the other systems in our bodies are important to us. The endocrine system is made up of multiple
glands in our body that are used for the production and secretion of hormones into the blood stream.
The endocrine system helps us in our growth and controlling the body s metabolic activity for
everyday use. How important do you think the endocrine system is to us? Well just as you can see,
each of us have different opinions so our answers will vary here. But in my opinion, the endocrine
system is the most important system in our body because it balances your moods, controls growth and
developments in our bodies, the tissue functions of our bodies, metabolism, and last but not least, all
of your sexual and reproductive system. That s a lot for a system that doesn t sound like much.
The endocrine system is made up of the multiple glands our bodies which includes the parathyroid and
thyroid glands, the pancreas, pituitary gland, the adrenal glands and ovaries in women meanwhile
testicles in men. When the endocrine s glands create hormones, they get shipped either through the
bloodstream or the lymph. The hormones benefits to our body to act or react to anything that could
threaten our homeostasis. Hormones support throughout the reproduction and birth. They help us sleep

Problems with the Japanese Whaling Industry
The Japanese whaling industry has thrived and flourished since its origin. The Japanese have
depended on whales such as the blue, fin, sei, and humpback whales. The issue at hand is that the
demand for whale products and byproducts is so large that the numbers of these types of whales has
declined to near extinction levels. Without any care to the harm being done, the Japanese whaling
industry has not shown any sign of remorse towards this actions little has been done by the
international community s to put an end to the elimination of these large and peaceful creatures. There
have been small groups of anti whaling conservation. The groups have had many victories along the
way by using their non traditional methods and sometimes generating violent tension between them
and the whaling ships while in international waters.
Summary
This topic has generated research and observation in order to understand both sides of the whaling
industry in Japan. First must take a look to the history and background of the topic. The oldest
Japanese book in existence, called the Kojiki, chronicled that the Emperor Jimmu, the first emperor of
Japan, ate whale meat (History of Japanese Whaling, 2013). Due to over 1,000 years of whaling in
Japan, It has not been an easy task for the Japanese people to ease up on this addiction to whale
products. For centuries this industry has remained strong until recently attacks by conservation groups.

Amelia Earhart disappeared in 1937 on an attempted fly around the world. After her plane crashed,
many theories appeared, the most popular being she crashed and died from mechanical difficulties in
her plane. This theory is wrong for many reasons. Most likely, she had landed the plane on an
uninhabited island called Gardner. The theory is supposedly, while Amelia and Frederick where in the
air, they had noticed that fuel was running dangerously low. Fretting, Amelia landed the plane safely
on Gardner Island. This is where both her and Noonan died from lack of resources and no rescue on

But, as patients started coming in with Spanish flu, it was not long before Amelia became a patient

After she was stably healthy again in 1920, her father and herself went to an airfield where he bought
Amelia a ten minute flight, and this is where she know she was meant to fly. After that experience, she
took many jobs in order to earn enough money for flying lessons and soon she was conspiring with

A Summary Of The Movie The Mission
The 1986 film The Mission depicts the relation of the Jesuits as a type of enlightening force for the
Guarani people, that is able to organized theses people in way that was not before possible. The
representation of the priest as these great liberators of knowledge by the movie is flattery, the natives
where indeed capable of organizing themselves as a society that the films choses to ignore. The
Guarani where not the pure molds that the movie presents, they contained there own original and
optioned ideas on how society works after contact with the Jesuits and in the missions, a notable
example of their ideas can be seen in religion. The natives are shown throughout the film of having
weak constitution to their traditional spirituality, and this was not the cause in history. My argument is,
the Guarini where not the passive molds for Christianity presented in the film, but where actually
relatively organized in them believes of spirituality and held strong options on the subject. Supporting
the argument against the films take will include: Ruiz de Montoya s The Spiritual Conquest, a primary
source form the prospective of a Jesuit priest during the time of The Mission; James Schofield Seager

there was no one left for her, so she had to move on and continue living. After Liesel was saved, she
saw Rudy on the ground, She did not say goodbye. She was incapable, and after a few more minutes
at his side, she was able to tear herself from the ground. (Zusak 536). Liesel really did not want to

Hadoop is a distributed server, open source storage technology that operates with commodity

servers at one time, allowing for faster processing and for the system to remain functional if one
server fails. Like other open source software packages, Apache, its inventor, does not exclusively own
the code of Hadoop. Thus, many different firms have created their own version of Hadoop, allowing

Humpback Whale Definition
Rescuers on Sunday morning were planning to spare a child humpback whale that got stranded only
20 feet from West Seattle shore, yet endeavors fizzled and the youthful one died, reports say.
The 30 foot adolescent humpback whale (Megaptera novaeangliae) was discovered caught in the
shallows close West Seattle s Fauntleroy Ferry dock in the small hours of the morning on August 7.
That day, several individuals rushed to the ship terminal and endeavored to help in protecting the
stranded creature, as indicated by a report from King5 News.
Tragically, endeavors were futile. A representative from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric
Administration (NOAA) says that the child humpback whale kicked the bucket hours after the fact.
What was the deal?

Researchers have yet to decide the reason for the creature s demise, however tissue tests have been
taken. The youthful one s body was secured with whale lice, a sign of weakness, agents say.
Then, Huggins says authorities were unrealistic to choose whether to tow the well evolved creature to
somewhere else for a full necropsy or the tissue tests taken would suffice for an examination.
There are heaps of logistics required in doing an examination, says Huggins.
Barre says it is not exceptional to see humpback whales in Puget Sound on the grounds that the
populace has become in the course of recent years.
Indeed, even along these lines, NOAA s National Marine Fisheries Service suggests that a few
sections of the whale populace in the Northwest Pacific ought to be recorded as debilitated.
Barre says sightings of humpback whales have turned out to be less uncommon than they used to be,
however it is still unordinary to discover live whales get stranded.
In June, a 35 foot humpback whale was discovered dead in the Bremerton ship, yet a full necropsy did

The Battle Of The Trench Warfare
INTRODUCTION
The earliest recorded example of trench warfare occurred during the appropriately named Battle of the
Trench, which took place in the year 627 A.D. Muhammad had ordered his Muslim followers to
defend the region known as Medina, and in response, a man named Salman the Persian introduced the
tactic of digging defensive trenches around the soldier s positions as a means of protection and
surprise (The Islam Project). The strategy earned the Muslims a decisive victory and has been
implemented countless times throughout major wars in history ever since.
One such war began in 1914, after the Archduke Francis Ferdinand of the Austro Hungarian Empire,
was assassinated on June 28th by Bosnian Serb Gavrilo Princip in Sarajevo. The Great War, as it was
known, thrust the world s superpowers into war as alliances forced nation against nation. The Central
Powers included Germany, Austria Hungary and the Ottoman Empire, while the Allies consisted of
Great Britain, the United States, France, Russia (for a short time prior to their own civil war), Italy and
Japan (World War I | 1914 1918). For four years, these nations fought against one another in a series
of battles, many of them characterized by the Trench Warfare strategy. The military tactic was
employed by both sides and would prove to be costly to all those involved.
The beginnings of Trench Warfare during World War I are found in 1914 after the Battle of the Marne
near Paris. The Germans retreated to the Aisne River and

What Has Been Gone After The War Essay
Let me tell you a little about what s been going on since the war s been going on. When he first left I
just stayed in the house and cooked and did things I would normally do. Then a couple weeks after he
was gone, I got a job. More employment opportunities opened for women. I got a job where he used to
work. At a factory where we lived. Women became the main population of the factories, and women s
movement progressed. The only bad thing about working was that I got lower pays then my husband.
Soon African Americans started showing up. They also got recruited a bunch of jobs. Finally the war
ended. It was November 11th, 1918 at 11:00 am. I woke up early for work wondering if my husband is

But we still didn t have our money that was lost in the bank.
In 1920 the United States added the eighteenth amendment. Which outlawed the production and
consumption of alcohol and was more commonly known as Prohibition. In 1923 we got a telephone.
This was very exciting for all of us. We ve never seen anything like this before. Probably because we
live out in the middle of nowhere. We couldn t figure out how to use it for a couple of days. But then
we finally figured it out. Then in 1925 we moved from Savannah,Georgia to Casper,Wyoming. This
was a very long journey for my husband, two kids, and I. We had to travel by our car. It was small but
it was just enough room for the four of us. We had to sell some stuff that we had and get money for it.
We also had to leave some stuff in Georgia. It took us around two days to get there. We only stopped
for food twice, because we have limited amounts of money. And we had to save most of it for the
house.
Finally we got to where we need to be. It was the most beautiful place we ve ever seen. We lived here
for the rest of our lives. My husband passed away at age 83 and I passed away at age 84 we lived the
happiest life ever. My kids both got married my oldest son Jack to a beautiful lady named Jane. And
they had three little girls, Mary, Janet, Kay. My daughter got married to a wonderful man named
Shawn. They had four kids. One set of twin boys Robert and Jack II, they also had a set of twin

Bacon s Rebellion Analysis
The elderly Berkeley had some secret scheme in mind, having governing Virginia since 1641, he
wanted to maintain an alliances relationship with friendly neighboring Natives tribes and uses them as
the buffers while fighting the Susquehannocks war, and in fact maintaining his fur trade monopoly. On
the other side, Bacon and his followers, the discontented Virginians blamed the Natives, friendly or
not, for all their problems. Theirs viewed of the Susquehannocks war as an opportunity to solve all
their problems at once, for good.
Not being able to convince the Governor for the commission he felt warranted, Bacon secretly fled
Jamestown only to returned later with five or six hundred armed men and marched directly to where
Governor and the Council were in the meeting. In the meantime, the news flock Jamestown with more
raids and murder of the settlers committed by the Natives. Having his men surrounded the building,
Bacon presented himself before the Council, alleged that had not his commission been tardy for so
long, the war against the Natives might have done. Feeling insulted and resentful by what Bacon have

based on how 50 individuals became managers and what was uncovered was that 45 out of 50 in the
past were specialists before they were given any managerial responsibilities, a further 2 did have
training as a specialist before gaining a supervisory role and managerial responsibilities, there were
also a number that did have management training but this was not considered to be management
training that was effective enough. This can no lead to my findings of 2 managers that were interviews

Identify The Different Types Of Volcanoes
There are three types of volcanoes on earth. They are composite, cinder cone and shield volcanoes.
They are all over the world and depending on what kinds of volcanoes they are they would be in

if they were to irrupt.
The first type of volcano is the Composite volcano. This type of volcano has cinders, lava flows and

areas; Vesuvius, Krakatoa, Fujiyama, and Mount St. Helens.

Life Changing Events Happened From New York City
Life changing events happened in New York City. On September 11th, 2001 was without a doubt, one
of the most terrorizing experiences in the history of our Nation. You heard screams of agony from
people who were trying to seek safety for their loved ones. Pillars of smoke filled the sky as innocent
people cried out with agony and hurt of the injured and of people who didn t understand what was
going on. The streets were filled with clouds of dust and debris. The news reporters told of the
gripping story of how terror had struck the very hearts of the American people. Our President, George
W. Bush gave clear and concise demands to the events within a few days following the horrible
attacks on the Twin Towers. The demands that later led to new ACT s being passed by Congress,
would have a drastic change to what we call Civil Liberties. By definition Civil Liberties is the state of

Cruelty In Joseph Conrad s Heart Of Darkness
Cruelty in Heart of Darkness In Joseph Conrad s novel, Heart of Darkness, many motifs were
mentioned in the story. Savagery, meaning an act of cruelty, was one of the most important motifs that
were exemplified multiple times throughout the novel. As Marlow, the main character of the story,
traveled along the Congo River to find Kurtz, he encountered many forms of savagery. In the
beginning of the novel while Marlow was taking a break on the Nellie with other crew members, he
described how the Romans felt when they were in his position on the river. Marlow described the
Belgian Congo as, Land in a swamp, march through the woods, and in some inland post feel the
savagery, the utter savagery, had closed round him all that mysterious life of ... Show more content on

He used savagery to describe how people were during the time. People were extremely deceiving and
selfish. They treated others inhumanly, without any care or sympathy. African natives were called
savages in Conrad s point of view, but he does not see how the Europeans were actually the true
savages. Europeans treated the native inhabitants like they were nothing important. Native Africans
lived in those swamps, forests and jungles along the Congo River. They were the ones who were
thought as wild men. Whenever someone traveled through those areas, they would feel the savagery
coming from the natives even though they were just trying to protect themselves from more harm.
Conrad uses Marlow s visit to the Company s Offices to describe how different native Africans were
treated compared to the Europeans. Marlow was appalled with the conditions around the Company
offices. Marlow described the company s accountant wearing such nice clothes while the savages were
dying slowly, working hard though malnourished. Another example Conrad portrays savagery in the
novel but does not regard it as savagery was when Kurtz has that insatiable greed for ivory. Kurtz did
whatever he can to steal from the natives, destroying their property and making living conditions

The Aztec state could have control of craft production, use, and distribution of such goods. The
precious materials used by the craftsmen were not always local to the Valley of Mexico. The
acquisition of such materials also occurred via the extensive trade networks and the economic control

The demand on craftsmen resulted in them paying their personal tribute through the products of their
labor. Both the crafts and the fine materials could have acted as tribute through their own merit. These
craft products were produced almost entirely for the nobility and government. The governing body

Analysis Of The Movie Broadway
A war is fought on many fronts. The war front were the actually fighting takes place. The government
front were the stiff shirts fight politics. The home front were the people still at home have to deal with
the repercussions of war. And the public front were people still had to go about their daily lives. This
is where Broadway was born and raised. Broadway was just getting started in the late 1860 s so it was
still a baby when World War One began. Broadway was loved by all and people could go see their
favorite shows, with their favorite actors for the low price of $1.50 or $2.00. Before WWI Broadway

to help with the war, but WWI still changed the style of Broadway, and how it worked. In 1917 Dr.
Frank Crane said, The stage is not a nation s weakness, extravagance or undoing, but it is a nation s

and adventure that is needed to achieve success in the arena of world conflict. (Atkinson, 1970) Dr.
Crane was more than right in his statement. Broadway was not taking away from the war, or trying to
shove it in a corner, acting, and hoping that it did not exist. They were embracing it, and were helping
the cause. During WWI Broadway was teeming with servicemen. To help those coming to Broadway
for the first time, information centers were set up all to help soldiers. These centers would give
soldiers information, such as what shows to go see in their short time in the city (Atkinson, 1970).

Rational Emotive Behavior Theory ( Psychoanalytic Therapy )
Rational Emotive Behavior Theory
Briefly describe the article you read by Albert Ellis:
How is REBT different from psychoanalytic therapy?
How is REBT different from client centered therapy?
How did you like his writing?
How did the article enhance your understanding of his theory?
This discussion will focus on REBT diverse from psychoanalytic therapy in that REBT utilize rational
rearrangement to alter illogical thoughts that cause psychological problems (Wedding and Corsini,

The Beliefs Of AristotleMetaphysics And Epistemology
Aristotle Metaphysics and Epistemology
Aristotle claims that the principle of non contradiction [(PNC) the principle that the same attribute
cannot at the same time belong and not belong to the same subject and in the same respect
(Metaphysics, Aristotle, Part 3)] is the most certain of all principles. He further explains that this is
employed in all proofs, on any subject and therefore is the most basic, and the first principle as it is
not derived from anything more basic . Aristotle also claims, unlike Socrates, that the forms exist on
the same level as becoming. Therefore, you can logically assume Socrates metaphysics is hierarchical
in this regard. It is important to note that Aristotle does have a focal point with regards to metaphysics,
epistemology, and ethics goods. Not goods as in products, but goods as in moral goods. The reason
this idea trickles down into other areas of his philosophy is because this is where he fundamentally
disagrees with Socrates on the forms. He even goes as far as to say This sort of inquiry is, to be sure
unwelcome to us, because those who introduced the Forms (Socrates) were friends of ours; still, it
presumably seems better, indeed only right, to destroy even what is close to us if that is the way to
preserve the truth (Nicomachean Ethics, Part 6, The Platonic Form of the Good). Aristotle also
believes in 3 ideas of substance: changeable and perishable (organisms), changeable and eternal
(souls/heavenly bodies), and

Alexander The Great Argumentative Essay
Father: Persians have no place in the Macedonian army! Those who we once fought against are now
fighting alongside us. It is quite simply an insult to be succeeded as Alexander puts it, by young
Persians carrying Macedonian weapons, believing they are one of us.
Son: I believe the reasons he bought the successors to Susa far justify the hostility many veterans,
including you, father, may feel about the event. Alexander had the intention of repatriating those
veterans who were too wounded or old to continue through the difficult conditions they faced. With no
Macedonian troops available to replace them immediately and the strain of having to constantly send
back to Macedonia for reinforcements, Alexander had no choice but to turn to the Persians who were
trained in Macedonian infantry tactics. This army of course, owed more personal loyalty to Alexander
rather than the tiring Macedonians who served him for regional interests17.

The Truth about Our Secret
Susan Griffin s main focus in her essay Our Secret is on Heinrich Himmler s life. She hopes to better
understand how people come to be who they are as a product of childhood and adolescent experiences.
Through this process she hopes her readers can become conscious to the truths of their upbringing and
not only find their true identity, but have the strength and courage to change their destiny. Griffin is
ultimately interested in finding her own identity but has been oppressed by her grandmother to not
search inwardly. She therefore uses Himmler as a mask by examining what experiences shaped him as
a child to understand what may have molded her. Griffin concentrates on connections between people,

Although this is a key moment in Himmler s search for identity, as a reader we are not merely
interested in Himmler s personal story. The author fails to finish off the great thought with a
connection to her own life and search. Just as she has Himmler examine Hitler to find his path, in
writing this essay Griffin is looking at Himmler s journey to in turn evaluate her own. This quote
would perfectly tie back to the author and therefore be relatable by the reader if she would tie up her
loose ends. The reader is left confused as to why she doesn t elaborate after this key point and
wondering if the author even realizes that she and Himmler are going through the same process.
Griffin s essay had amazing potential to draw on the experiences of a man who s life went astray to
find out why this happened, what personal connections and lessons the author has derived from this
examination, and what the reader could do to negate these possible effects in their own or their
children s

The Grizzly Maze By Nick Jans
The book The Grizzly Maze by author Nick Jans, tells the fatal story of a man known as Timothy
Treadwell and his dark obsession with bears and the wilderness. Timothy is a self proclaimed Bear
Expert who devoted his life to protecting Grizzly bears from the dangers of poaching. He began to
research bears on his own and began to spread his knowledge to thousands of people through
books, media, and even as a classroom speaker. He wanted to protect the grizzlies so much that he
even went as far as to camp in the wilderness of Katmai National Park and protect them physically
from the threats of poachers/hunters, a threat that was never a reality. He garnered large media
attention for the way he handled his research , since it was so ... Show more content on

Timothy s courage and passion became very evident when he began to go into the wilderness of
Alaska and camped there for months at a time, so that he could both protect the bears himself and also
to film them in their natural habitat in order to create beautiful documentaries of bears in a way that
was never seen before since his special bond with the animals allowed him to film them up close and
personal which is something no other person had been able to achieve before. Many people also
adored how he loved to educate the masses, specifically children and taught them all about what he
learned from being in the presence of bears. And while Timothy did end up losing his life , many were
inspired by how he lived life and how he died doing what he loved. Timothy was even quoted as
saying I will die for these animals, I will die for these animals, I will die for these animals. (Timothy
Treadwell, Grizzly Man), showing the people that he had no regrets for how he lived his life even if
the result was him losing it. While many admire Timothy s courage and passion in trying to achieve
his goals and protect the things he loves. He

Intracellular Fluid Essay
Intracellular fluid (ICF) is liquid found inside the cell (separated into compartments by membranes)
and extracellular fluid (ECF) is all of the body fluid outside of the cell. ECF contains interstitial fluid
(found in the lymph, cerebrospinal fluid, glomerular filtrate of the kidneys) and plasma (found in the
circulatory system). Sodium accounts for 90% of the ECF cations (positively charged ions) and
regulates osmotic forces, therefore, regulates water balance (McCance Huether, 2014, p. 108).
Regulation of sodium balance is facilitated by aldosterone, which is triggered by the renin angiotensin
mechanism. Potassium is the major intracellular electrolyte found in most body fluids and is
maintained by renal excretion of K+ absorbed from ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
How would you determine whether she has cystitis or pyelonephritis?
a. Differentiate between cystitis and pyelonephritis. Consider history, possible presenting symptoms,
and urinalysis results.
Cystitis is inflammation of the bladder (lower urinary tract) and is the most common site of UTI
(McCance Huether, 2014, p. 1350). E. coli is the most common pathogen of UTI s and occurs more
common in women due to the shorter urethra and the proximity of the urethra to the vagina and anus.
The patient can be asymptomatic or experience urinary frequency, urgency, and discomfort. The
presence of white cells in the urinalysis is indicative of infection and the urine culture can identify the
bacteria.
Pyelonephritis is a type of urinary tract infection that affects one or both kidneys (upper urinary tract)
( Pyelonephritis, 2012, p. 1). Bacteria (commonly caused by E. coli.) enters from the lower urinary
tract and can lead to renal scarring. Symptoms of pyelonephritis may include a fever with pain in the
lower back or abdominal area. Hematuria and vomiting can also occur. Diagnosis includes blood test
and urinalysis with culture, but may involve imaging studies to detect renal abnormalities or

  • 4. Religious Experience Research Paper The term religious experience can come up with a wide range and diverse series of images. We might assume that it can include anything from a prayer, to attending a service at a place of worship, to even hearing the voice of God . The argument for the existence of God based on religious experience is in fact a posteriori as it is based on people s encounters with God. Unlike other arguments, the argument is based on a direct link to God if we are able to show that God is experienced then we therefore cannot deny his existence. Many people are more likely to believe something if it has been experienced. Our experience of God is the best evidence we have that God exists. • 5. A Picture Of The Modern Day Father Figure Mikell Gentry Laura Godfrey English 102 41 December 7, 2014 A Picture of the Modern Day Father Figure . The quintessential Father figure of the early 20th century was characterized by being the main breadwinner and disciplinarian of the family. Although he viewed himself as a role model, he had very little involvement in the nurturing and caregiving of his children. However, as soon as this idea about the role of the father became the norm, it was already undergoing an immense amount of change. With the growing acceptance of feminist ideals, gender roles have become more neutral, and economic trends have brought higher levels of financial equality to woman over the years. Subsequently, contemporary parenting has begun to redefine the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In the recent Pew Research Center study, Growing Number of Dads Home with the Kids: Biggest increase among those caring for family, Author Gretchen Livingston claims that the main reason why many fathers stay at home with their children is either due to disability or unemployment, yet the fastest growing category of stay at home dads, increasing four fold since 1989, are dads who choose to stay home to take care of home and family (6). The Pew report statistics give a clear picture of how family dynamics have shifted in recent years, but it still leaves the question: why are more fathers choosing to take on the role of caregiver, rather than the more traditional role of breadwinner as did fathers in past generations? Like most sociological questions of this nature, the answer is complex. According to the academic journal I Feel Like a Rock Star : Fatherhood for Stay at Home Fathers by Catherine Richards Solomon, two of the main reasons fathers are choosing to stay home with their children these days include: their wives having higher earning potential, and the couples belief that one parent staying at home with the child plays a crucial role in the well being of the family (7 8). While all of the parents in Solomon s study valued the idea of one parent staying home, they held no distinction about what sex makes a better caregiver (Solomon, 9). Year 10 Geography Research Report YEAR 10 GEOGRAPHY RESEARCH REPORT: Introduction: Cronulla is a beachside suburb in southern Sydney, it is located 34.0574° S, 151.1522° E which is 26 kilometres south of the Sydney CBD (see figure 2). It is governed by the Sutherland Shire Council. Cronulla s coastal environment is on the Kurnell Peninsula, which is made up of a tombolo. A tombolo is a sand spit connecting a rocky outcrop or island to the mainland. So this forms a barrier between Botany Bay and Bate Bay. The two areas of study visited were Wanda Beach and the Greenhills Beach development. A healthy dune system contains a primary and secondary dune defined by the start of vegetation as you progress from the swash and berm. The vegetation helps stabilise the landform helping to protect it from erosion, it also helps the soil in the secondary dune to become more stable and erosion resistant. The decaying plant material creates humus which makes the soil more nutrient allowing greater plant diversity. At Wanda Beach, the tall trees and scrubs act as a windbreaker which further protects the sand formation. According to the field work results collected using the anemometer (see figure 3), the Aeolian processes at the front and the top of the primary dune is where the wind speed is highest. So it is important to plant plants such as the hairy spinifex to stabilise the sand due to its expansive root system and its ability to survive low water conditions. • 24. The Battle Of The Trench Warfare INTRODUCTION The earliest recorded example of trench warfare occurred during the appropriately named Battle of the Trench, which took place in the year 627 A.D. Muhammad had ordered his Muslim followers to defend the region known as Medina, and in response, a man named Salman the Persian introduced the tactic of digging defensive trenches around the soldier s positions as a means of protection and surprise (The Islam Project). The strategy earned the Muslims a decisive victory and has been implemented countless times throughout major wars in history ever since. One such war began in 1914, after the Archduke Francis Ferdinand of the Austro Hungarian Empire, was assassinated on June 28th by Bosnian Serb Gavrilo Princip in Sarajevo. The Great War, as it was known, thrust the world s superpowers into war as alliances forced nation against nation. The Central Powers included Germany, Austria Hungary and the Ottoman Empire, while the Allies consisted of Great Britain, the United States, France, Russia (for a short time prior to their own civil war), Italy and Japan (World War I | 1914 1918). For four years, these nations fought against one another in a series of battles, many of them characterized by the Trench Warfare strategy. The military tactic was employed by both sides and would prove to be costly to all those involved. The beginnings of Trench Warfare during World War I are found in 1914 after the Battle of the Marne near Paris. The Germans retreated to the Aisne River and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Savagery, meaning an act of cruelty, was one of the most important motifs that were exemplified multiple times throughout the novel. As Marlow, the main character of the story, traveled along the Congo River to find Kurtz, he encountered many forms of savagery. In the beginning of the novel while Marlow was taking a break on the Nellie with other crew members, he described how the Romans felt when they were in his position on the river. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... He used savagery to describe how people were during the time. People were extremely deceiving and selfish. They treated others inhumanly, without any care or sympathy. African natives were called savages in Conrad s point of view, but he does not see how the Europeans were actually the true savages. Europeans treated the native inhabitants like they were nothing important. Native Africans lived in those swamps, forests and jungles along the Congo River. They were the ones who were thought as wild men. Whenever someone traveled through those areas, they would feel the savagery coming from the natives even though they were just trying to protect themselves from more harm. Conrad uses Marlow s visit to the Company s Offices to describe how different native Africans were treated compared to the Europeans. Marlow was appalled with the conditions around the Company offices. Marlow described the company s accountant wearing such nice clothes while the savages were dying slowly, working hard though malnourished. Another example Conrad portrays savagery in the novel but does not regard it as savagery was when Kurtz has that insatiable greed for ivory. The Beliefs Of AristotleMetaphysics And Epistemology Aristotle Metaphysics and Epistemology Aristotle claims that the principle of non contradiction [(PNC) the principle that the same attribute cannot at the same time belong and not belong to the same subject and in the same respect (Metaphysics, Aristotle, Part 3)] is the most certain of all principles. He further explains that this is employed in all proofs, on any subject and therefore is the most basic, and the first principle as it is not derived from anything more basic . Aristotle also claims, unlike Socrates, that the forms exist on the same level as becoming. Therefore, you can logically assume Socrates metaphysics is hierarchical in this regard. It is important to note that Aristotle does have a focal point with regards to metaphysics, epistemology, and ethics goods. Not goods as in products, but goods as in moral goods. The reason this idea trickles down into other areas of his philosophy is because this is where he fundamentally disagrees with Socrates on the forms. He even goes as far as to say This sort of inquiry is, to be sure unwelcome to us, because those who introduced the Forms (Socrates) were friends of ours; still, it presumably seems better, indeed only right, to destroy even what is close to us if that is the way to preserve the truth (Nicomachean Ethics, Part 6, The Platonic Form of the Good). Through this process she hopes her readers can become conscious to the truths of their upbringing and not only find their true identity, but have the strength and courage to change their destiny. Griffin is ultimately interested in finding her own identity but has been oppressed by her grandmother to not search inwardly. The author fails to finish off the great thought with a connection to her own life and search. Just as she has Himmler examine Hitler to find his path, in writing this essay Griffin is looking at Himmler s journey to in turn evaluate her own. This quote would perfectly tie back to the author and therefore be relatable by the reader if she would tie up her loose ends. The reader is left confused as to why she doesn t elaborate after this key point and wondering if the author even realizes that she and Himmler are going through the same process. Griffin s essay had amazing potential to draw on the experiences of a man who s life went astray to find out why this happened, what personal connections and lessons the author has derived from this examination, and what the reader could do to negate these possible effects in their own or their children s ... Intracellular Fluid Essay Intracellular fluid (ICF) is liquid found inside the cell (separated into compartments by membranes) and extracellular fluid (ECF) is all of the body fluid outside of the cell. ECF contains interstitial fluid (found in the lymph, cerebrospinal fluid, glomerular filtrate of the kidneys) and plasma (found in the circulatory system). Sodium accounts for 90% of the ECF cations (positively charged ions) and regulates osmotic forces, therefore, regulates water balance (McCance Huether, 2014, p. 108). Regulation of sodium balance is facilitated by aldosterone, which is triggered by the renin angiotensin mechanism.
