smoking. In health, we learn about the effects of drugs and the risks of drinking alcohol and
driving, however, we don t really cover the topic of smoking and driving, which leads people to
think there is nothing at risk. This presentation informs us of the potentially deadly risks of driving
while under the influence of cannabis that many people are unaware of. As well, the information
provided not only informs people who do/might smoke in the future of what they may be putting at

the main target of persecution and were faced with the options of migrating, recanting and most

rejecting any and all violence. The 16th century Anabaptists demonstrated their dedication to

offenses (Tita Ridgeway, 2007). Therefore, a cluster and outlier analysis (Anselin Local Morans
I) was conducted to determine if there is significant clustering in gang related areas. Seen in
figure 3, drug violations are clustered in the areas around known gang member locations. Based
on journey to crime and routine activities a central feature analysis was done to further explore if
gang member locations are associated with drug violation locations. Euclidean distance was
utilized for this analysis as gang members do not travel large distances and therefore are most
likely on foot and not restricted to roadways. Central feature was selected over mean center as
gang members are more likely to work out of their homes than any other offenders (Eck Gersh,
2000) so it was likely the central offense would be very close or near the home of a known gang
member. When broken down by year the central features were stacked on top of each other with
only the slightest variation as can be seen in figure 4. Finally, a buffer will be placed around gang
member locations to determine which drug violations are likely related to their gang (figure 5).
The buffer was set at 250ft as drug dealers generally have a limited journey to crime.

Most of the walls are just large windows which allow sunlight to stream in. The rooms are full of
tables and large whiteboards on wheels, which are covered in stickies that map out all kinds of
ideas in different stages of development. Papers and pens are strewn across the tables, and chairs
are facing every which way. The chaos seem to fill the rooms with ideas but also to press down
on you, making you feel small. There are always at least a few people sitting at the tables in the
front room of the Venture Studio. It is not that they are intentionally scary, but they look so
concentrated on what they are doing that it would be wrong to barge in. When Singari is with
me I don t feel out of place. She has this confidence about her, it isn t arrogant, she doesn t act
like she owns the place, but she knows she adds value, and she has a subtle air of belonging.
When I m with Singari, the confidence spreads to me. I don t feel like an intruder anymore. The
white boards are a maze of ideas for me to discover, not a wall blocking me out. Even though
people look at me because as a high school junior I am clearly younger than the business school
