Coders are writing tests and testers are writing code. This seemingly paradoxical truth is becoming more and more prevalent in companies of every size. But coders and testers still have very different cultures and processes and are actually sharing very little knowledge, even in companies that have supposedly taken down the wall between the disciplines.
In this talk, we explore the increasingly blurry lines, discuss some of the differences in the approaches coders and testers bring to the table, and provide practical examples of lessons learned by sharing knowledge, cultural perspectives and evolved wisdom.

Search and Society: Reimagining Information Access for Radical FuturesBhaskar Mitra
The field of Information retrieval (IR) is currently undergoing a transformative shift, at least partly due to the emerging applications of generative AI to information access. In this talk, we will deliberate on the sociotechnical implications of generative AI for information access. We will argue that there is both a critical necessity and an exciting opportunity for the IR community to re-center our research agendas on societal needs while dismantling the artificial separation between the work on fairness, accountability, transparency, and ethics in IR and the rest of IR research. Instead of adopting a reactionary strategy of trying to mitigate potential social harms from emerging technologies, the community should aim to proactively set the research agenda for the kinds of systems we should build inspired by diverse explicitly stated sociotechnical imaginaries. The sociotechnical imaginaries that underpin the design and development of information access technologies needs to be explicitly articulated, and we need to develop theories of change in context of these diverse perspectives. Our guiding future imaginaries must be informed by other academic fields, such as democratic theory and critical theory, and should be co-developed with social science scholars, legal scholars, civil rights and social justice activists, and artists, among others.
Connector Corner: Automate dynamic content and events by pushing a buttonDianaGray10
Here is something new! In our next Connector Corner webinar, we will demonstrate how you can use a single workflow to:
Create a campaign using Mailchimp with merge tags/fields
Send an interactive Slack channel message (using buttons)
Have the message received by managers and peers along with a test email for review
But there’s more:
In a second workflow supporting the same use case, you’ll see:
Your campaign sent to target colleagues for approval
If the “Approve” button is clicked, a Jira/Zendesk ticket is created for the marketing design team
But—if the “Reject” button is pushed, colleagues will be alerted via Slack message
Join us to learn more about this new, human-in-the-loop capability, brought to you by Integration Service connectors.

Welcome to the training module on [Position Sensor SPS-L075-HALS]
This training module will Introduce Position Sensors and provide a Brief Study of the SPS-LO75-HALS sensor from Honeywell .
Magnet-ostriction is a property of ferro-magnetic materials such as iron, nickel, and cobalt. When placed in a magnetic field, these materials change size and/or shape. The physical response of a ferromagnetic material is due to the presence of magnetic moments, and can be understood by considering the material as a collection of tiny permanent magnets, or domains. Each domain consists of many atoms.
A position sensor is any idea that permits position measurement. It can either be an absolute position sensor or a relative one (displacement sensor). Position sensors can be either linear or angular. Linear position sensors play an important role in automation control where precision positioning is required. Many manufacturers are looking for new approaches to meet today’s needs of high reliability and accuracy
The SMART Position Sensor, 75 mm linear configuration, is a non-contacting sensing solution for linear absolute position sensing with enhanced speed and accuracy. It senses the position of a magnet relative to the sensor from 0 mm to 75 mm
This Honeywell SMART Position Sensor has the ability to self-calibrate and self-diagnose to reduce equipment downtime. Small in size, the position sensor meets IP67 and IP69K for use in a variety of harsh applications in the aerospace, medical, and industrial industries. Potential applications include aircraft ram door position, syringe pumps, cutting and slitting machinery, elevator level position, material handling, packaging, plastic molding machines, valve position detection, wafer handling equipment and woodworking machinery
The Honeywell SMART Position Sensor is the most accurate and durable linear position device available in the industry, enabling highly accurate motion control and improving operation efficiency and safety. With a 75mm linear configuration, the SMART Position Sensor is a non-contacting sensing solution for linear absolute position sensing - sensing from 0mm to 75mm
This page shows chart of sensor output performance . X- axis shows measurement distance in mm and Y-axis is output voltage of sensor. Ideal output at reference point “A” = 0.560 V; ideal output at reference point “B” = 4.31 V.
