The And Non Proliferation Education
This is how, through reports from 2002 to 2014 the advances in the field can be observed in two
concrete points, first Mexico leadership, advocacy and voice in the regional and international stage in
the promotion of DNPE has solidified. Second, the incorporation of training courses and outreach
activities at a local level reinforces the interest of educating the decision makers and raising awareness
within the society. Which ultimately contributes to the regional advocacy for peace by becoming a
point of reference in the region where new generations can receive education in the field. It is
important to highlight that Mexico has brought in to the debate NPDE and had encouraged states and
international organization to introduced DNPE in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As well within OPANAL Mexico pushed forward a resolution that calls on member states to
implement the recommendations of the UN Study on Disarmament and Non Proliferation Education
and to continue the task of disseminating the essence and importance of Tlatelolco Treaty. In a
subsequent resolution of OPANAL, the General Conference expressed its satisfaction with the work
done by the organization in the matter of DNPE and calls the General Secretary of the organization to
continue with the diffusion of the treaty within civil society and academic institutions as a way of
contributing with peace education. But due to financial restrictions some of the activities in the field as
the course The Nuclear Challenge had to be postponed. Mexico has play a relevant role in the working
group which seeks to review and analyze the future implementation on educational activities through
OPANAL, and further more in recent years has complemented OPANAL work and even filled the
vacuum left by the regional organization in the matter of DNPE. Within the framework of the
Organization of American States, Mexico has introduced an encouraged the members states to
implement the recommendations made by the UN Study on disarmament and nonproliferation

concrete measures for the promotion and spread of DNPD in the hemisphere. In that sense, Mexico

Abstract:

This paper describes the development and standardization of a measure of perceived attachment
styles. The four attachment styles namely secure, avoidant insecure, ambivalent insecure, and
disorganized insecure attachment proposed by Mary Ainsworth (1970), Main and Soloman 1986
(Disorganized insecure attachment). The items are constructed on socio cultural and educational
circumstances of adolescent students using mix strategy for construction of the scale by selecting the
items from various attachment scales and by writing some original items. Hence the tool will be
largely suitable for measuring the attachment styles among the adolescent students of Uttar Pradesh,
India. The tool has good criterion related validity and split half reliability.

Moral, Social, And Ethical Implications Of Cloning
Moral, Social, and Ethical Implications of Cloning
Clones are organisms that are exact genetic copies. Every single bit of their DNA is identical. Clones
can happen naturally identical twins are just one of many examples. Or they can be made in the lab.
Natural identical twins are similar to and different from clones made through modern cloning
technologies. (Genetic Science Learning Center) Cloning has many different aspects; there is the
moral, social and ethical aspects of cloning. Along with this you have to consider who is being cloned.
There is cloning for a human being, animal, or even food. Depending on what is being cloned is what
determines if it is allowed or not. Throughout this paper I will discuss many of the aspects of cloning.
Many people first heard of cloning when Dolly the Sheep showed up on the scene in 1997. Artificial
cloning technologies have been around for much longer than Dolly, though. There are two ways to
make an exact genetic copy of an organism in a lab: artificial embryo twinning and somatic cell
nuclear transfer. (Genetic Science Learning Center) This type of cloning has to do with organisms; so
either human or animal. These techniques are done to produce twins. Though the techniques vary, they
both are done to receive the same result. The type of cloning used to create Dolly the Sheep is Somatic
Cell Nuclear Transfer, also known as nuclear transfer or therapeutic cloning. What makes dolly so
special is that she was an exact genetic

Tinker V. Des Moines Independent School District Case Study
In 1969, three young activists walked into school and were told they could not symbolically express
themselves. Without these teens carrying out this simple act of rebellion, students today would lack
basic rights in the school place, as they would have no outlet outside of the home to express their
views. In order to understand Tinker v. Des Moines Independent School District one must examine the
history behind the case, analyze the case itself, and evaluate the impacts on modern society.
To examine the history of a case that continues to affect students today, it is important to look at how
the discrepancy began starting with Mary Beth, John, and Christopher. The tumultuous 60s can be
described by Kelly Shackelford, a constitutional attorney, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Post-Operative Management Of Surgical Procedure
3. Have there been any recent advances in the post operative management of the selected procedure?
Why? Recent rehabilitation guidelines now have a more scientific rationale and basis. The PT should
keep abreast of current advances in surgical procedures, clinical evaluation and treatment techniques
to ensure that contemporary interventions are being provided to produce an optimal outcome. The post
operative management of a meniscal repair takes on a more conservative approach as compared to
partial meniscectomy to allow for successful healing of the repair. Rehabilitation guidelines differ
among surgeons and remain controversial. Programs should be individualized to the type of surgical
procedure performed, the type of meniscal tear repaired

Ambiguity In Henry James s Turn Of The Screw
Henry James constructs an epic novel of romance and mystery, engendering many interpretations of
Turn of the Screw. James intentionally creates ambiguity by utilizing an incomplete frame to introduce
the atmosphere of a ghost story through its diction, setting, and tone, in order to capture an active
reader who must interact with the text. Frames hold a distinct purpose to provide insight and
background to the coming story, which James succeeds in, but goes one step farther. James introduces
the obvious ambiguity in the prologue through its point of view in order to establish a participating
reader to make judgements on their own from the very beginning.
James introduces the atmosphere of a ghost story by consisting the frame of multiple tales being told
out of competition at the third person point of view, which then allows the reader to experience the
mood and perspective of a spectator rather than a teller. In the opening sentence, the narrator touches
on the fact that it was a common tradition to exchange ghost stories on Christmas Eve by saying they
were not sufficiently breathless out of horror, but because it was respectfully a favorable story. As
well, there are other motivations for tales being told other than it being a tradition, which happens to
be competition (Williams 49). Douglas exemplifies this when asking the reader and the surrounding
characters, but it s not the first occurrence of its charming kind that I know to have involved a child. If

Katharine s Comfort Theory For Adult Open Heart Surgery...
Applying Katharine Kolcaba s Comfort Theory to Adult Open Heart Surgery Patients
Cynthia Heibler
University of Cincinnati
April 12, 2017 AbstractThe leading cause of death in the United States according to the Centers for
Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), as of 2014, is heart disease ( Leading causes of death , 2017).
The use of open heart surgery in eligible patients, such as coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) or
a cardiac valve replacement are two surgical ways to extend the life of those living with heart disease.
The recovery phase for these surgeries is crucial for the recuperation and future health of the patient.

The three types of comfort are defined as (a) relief comfort the state of having a specific comfort need
met ; (b) ease comfort the state of calm or contentment ; and (c) transcendence comfort the state in
which one can rise above problems or pain (Kolcaba, 2003).
All of the dimensions of comfort must be met by the patient, the family and healthcare provider to
enable healing or peaceful death, return to previous health state and promote health seeking behaviors
(HSB). Concerning the adult open heart surgery patient, achieving comfort in the form of relief, ease
and transcendence is important for early ambulation, coughing and deep breathing, for participating in
physical therapy and performing health promoting behaviors such as dietary changes or smoking
cessation.

Dogs Rule, Cats Drool
Dogs are happy to see you no matter what kind of mood you re in. Everyday when I come home from
school my dog, Nemo, is there to greet me at the door by jumping on me and licking my face. I could
ve had an amazing, miserable, tired, or content day and the jumping still continues. Canines are loyal
friends and the relationship between dogs and humans goes way back. Dogs are better than cats
because they assist humans and show more affection.
Dogs have been domesticated for as long as 135,000 years which makes cats seem fairly new to the
household. Both dogs and cats were originally used for reasons that benefited human work. Now a
days, dogs are far more useful with job skills. When I was little, I used to live outside. Not literally,
but just in the sense that I was an outdoors kind of child. I enjoyed helping my dad with household
projects and was ecstatic when I found out he would build a tree house for me. While he built the
major part of it with dangerous equipment, I put myself in charge of collecting sticks to try and help
my father put it together. Sooner or later, Nemo, my dog, was running back and forth with sticks in his
mouth helping me collect what I needed.
Canines have the ability to serve as seeing eye dogs, firedogs, service dogs or just a playful, loyal
companion. The closer the dog and human s relationship is, the stronger the feelings between them
are. Canines have a talent of recognizing dangerous situation and being there for humans in their time

A Clockwork Orange Analysis
A Clockwork Orange is a film directed by Stanley Kubrick, which explores the examination of the
baser human emotions. The movie is set in a not so distant ,dystopian future, where an English society
is dominated by an extreme culture of youth violence. The society in the film is one that is seemingly
dictated by primal instincts, a society where murder and rape are commonplace and sexuality manages
to penetrate the facets of their culture; appearing everyone from clothing to home decor. The story is
told by the protagonist, Alex DeLarge. Alex is characterized as a psychopath and a juvenile delinquent
that finds pleasure in violence and rape, but at the same time, he is intelligent with a sophisticated
taste in art, literature and music, being particularly fond of Beethoven s 9th symphony. Alex undergoes
a mental transformation when being a subjective to the Ludovico experiment which alters his
disposition towards the immoral pleasure seeking activities that had previously entertained him.
Freudian psychoanalytic theory aims to cure mental disorders by investigating the interaction of the
conscious and unconscious elements in the mind. This theory is also based upon the specific theories
of how the mind, the insitincts and secuality work, (Peter Berry, 92). Freud s conception of the human
psyche includes the conscious, the preconscious and the unconscious. The different forms of Alex that
we see before and after the Ludovico technique can be understood in the context of the three part
structural model of the psyche conceived by Freud. That is, the id, the ego, and the superego.
The id is the part of a personality that contains a person s primitive impulses, such as thirst, anger,
hunger and the desire for instant gratification and release. Freud believed that the id is based on our
pleasure principle, so whatever the id wants at that time to feel good, it will do it, with no regard or
consideration for the reality of the situation. According to Freud, the id presents the unconscious,
instinctive aspect of the personality that serves to relieve pain and tension through reflec and primary
process, (Emmett and Veeder, 231). Alex freely acts out on his id desires through committing violent
acts with

Character Sketch Of Draupadi
The above lines clearly elucidates the character of Draupadi as a fiery female, redefines the role of
women, issue of subjectivity can be witnessed and her psychological makeup is evident clearly. It
creates an admired feminine portrait which is both modern and timeless. Panchaali wallows in anger
and helplessness when Kunti come to a decision that all her five sons should join in matrimony with
Draupadi. She presumes that Arjun would stand up for her and speak up for her that she is only
married to him. But Draupadi is disillusioned by him for he abides by his mother s wish and doesn t
say anything. While Draupadi s father, brother and the Pandavas examine about the practicality of
Draupadi espousing five brothers, their focal point is family honour and customs. Not even a single
person gives eminence to Draupadi s desires. The depiction of Draupadi as an angry woman in a man

considered as important. She justifies this lifetime sentence by remunerating that probably this was her

House Essay
House, despite having a sexist main character and hardly and characters who are women, is my very
favorite television show. When I watch (which, by the way, is every week; religiously), I do so
because of the intensity and intrigue of the program. The various medical cases that the show involves
keep me on my toes and excited for what is about to happen next. It wasn t until this week, however,
that I noticed just how many inequalities and separations there are between men and women in the
show. First of all, the main character of House, Dr. Greg House, is a man. Whether or not the position
could be played as either a man or a woman, I do not know. However, I should say that Hugh Laurie,
the actor, does a truly remarkable job (he won a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He has absolutely no tact in dealing with her, and has mentioned on made many remarks about her
gender. Later, I will discuss how this is evident even in this one particular episode. To only look at
House s relationship with Cameron, however, would prove as an injustice. House is equally rude and
uncouth with his other two employees. One is black, and one is British. To say that House ignores
either of these factors would be completely incorrect. House refers to the black man as darky , asks
him about crime related incidents, all in an effort to spite him. This is the same way he speaks with
Cameron about her womanhood. Is he sexist? Is he racist? Maybe. Personally, I feel that he is not
meant to be portrayed as such. I think he is just an old, angry man. Tonight s episode did not
disappoint, and has actually proved quite pertinent to this assignment. It revolves around a sixteen
year old supermodel who has a panic attack on the runway, punches a fellow model, and then
collapses to the ground, unable to move, but still aware of what is around her. When she arrives at the
hospital, her father admits to giving her Valium prior to her performance in order to help with nerves.
Also, he later admits to having had sex with her a year or so again. House is not concerned with this
information, and decided to keep the father around to ask him more questions about the daughter.
Cameron, however, finds this information very troubling and reports him. At the very end of the

A Nation for Change
No one person wakes in the morning and decides to tackle years of institutional rule without thinking
certain doom, discomfort, or in some cases, death. Citizens living during the times within the United
States (1775 1784) and Vietnam (1955 1975) decided to fight as one voice, for a cause they believed
and shared together. This unified voice, the will of the people, started as a single voice. Soon there
were many voices with the same cry, to push out policies, ideals, and laws that were not their own.
Peaceful talks, debates, or discussions did not work, soon there was no other means but the violence to
break the will to continue.
The revolutionary wars were the violent means to which tactics used, was used as a form of warfare
[that is] uniquely adapted to undermine the efforts of new and poor countries to maintain the freedom
that they have finally achieved . President Kennedy spoke those words in 1962, the height of the
Vietnam War, and reaffirms the will of the people to that of the American people during its
Revolutionary War; the will for independence prevailed during trying times of offensive and defensive

Determination of Cations and Anions through Elimination and Confirmation Tests By: Symantha
Resendiz Introduction A topic of great importance to all scientists is the identification of compounds,
which is relevant in all aspects of their work in some way shape or form. Weather it may be
determining what is causing sickness or what is polluting the air, it is very prevalent in the science
world. In project 2, identification of cations and anions was preformed through a series of
confirmation and elimination tests that ultimately led to identifying an unknown ionic compound
made of cations and anions. Materials and Methods Part 1 Cation Tests To begin, 5 centrifuge tubes
were added 10 drops of one cation and labeled ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The mixture was then transferred to a clean centrifuge tube via pipet, carefully not wetting the upper
walls of the tube. Zinc granules were then added and the tube was immediately plugged with cotton
1/3 of the way into the tube. The tube was then warmed in a hot water bath for about 5 minutes, the
folded red litmus paper was inserted at the top of the tube with a wet crease. After a few minutes,
nitrate is indicated on the wet crease of the litmus paper, turning it blue. For the Carbonate test, 25 mg
of carbonate sample was added to a centrifuge tube and 3 drops of 6 M H2SO4 was added. A
disposable pipet was used to transfer a drop of Ba(OH)2, that hung directly from the pipet over the
carbonate solution, and the observations of the drop were recorded. Part 3 Cation and Anion Analysis
For the cation analysis, 0.566 g of an unknown compound was dissolved completely in 5mL of
distilled water in a centrifuge tube, thus confirming this solution as a stock solution. A flame test was
performed on the stock solution to give a general idea of what test was to e preformed on the stock
solution deriving the information from our logic trees in part 1. The logic tree from part 1 and the
flame test confirmed that we needed to conduct an ammonia test on the stock solution. To being the
ammonia test, 15 M NH4OH was added drop wise (about 20 drops) to the stock and the color of the
solution and the color of the solution was recorded. 10 more drops of 15 M NH4OH

Neuromancer And The Matrix Analysis
William Gibson s Neuromancer, and The Matrix by The Wachowskis both depict a society in which
humans are under constant manipulation by indispensable machines. In Neuromancer, the protagonist
Case is indirectly manipulated by a powerful Artificial Intelligence named Wintermute. In The Matrix,
majority of the human population lives within a computer simulated world, run by machines.
However, both storylines depict the fact that manipulation is more abundant than is often seen, as both
protagonists are more frequently under the influence of other humans. Neuromancer and The Matrix
both demonstrate the nature of manipulation, and explore the fact that individuals are oblivious to the
manipulation that they face.
Manipulation is ubiquitous. Throughout the movie, the Matrix is presented to the audience as the as
the only source of manipulation, What is the Matrix? Control (The Matrix). The perspective shown to
the audience implies that the robots are the only manipulative force present within this society.
Morpheus introduces Neo to the concept of the Matrix, by saying You are a slave, Neo (The Matrix)
and further explaining it as A prison for your mind (The Matrix). However, even once Neo has been
freed from the matrix, he remains susceptible. Neo is constantly being manipulated by both the Oracle

The Symbol Of Fire In Lord Of The Flies By William Golding
Fire is a powerful element that is known to be destructive, but in some situations it could mean more
then what is widely believed. Things can hold meaning behind them in a story that is not always what
people would assume. In William Golding s Lord of the Flies, the symbol of a fire is shown many
times, and its meaning progressively changes as the story goes on. The boys work to keep a fire going
in book to attempt to be noticed and rescued. The fire always had a different level of importance to
each boy, but there was always an overall underlying meaning behind it that affected them all. They
believed that it was just a fire to create smoke, but there was always something more to it that the boys
may or may not have been oblivious to. The symbol of the fire in The Lord of the Flies written by
William Golding begins as a representation of hope, develops into a divider, and concludes as a figure
of rescue. The fire that was created to be a smoke signal to anything that passes the island starts to
become a vision of hope for the boys. The fire is first brought into the story very early when Ralph
decides it is necessary if they want to be rescued. In the first meeting between all the boys they do not
address things like shelter right away, Ralph goes straight into how they can be saved. Golding writes
from Ralph s point of view when he is talking to the other boys, There s another thing. We can help
them to find us. If a ship comes near the island they may not notice us.

The Right Of The Fetus Life
Marqui s famous article is against abourtion. His article is different and he tries to explain why killing
and adult human is wrong ans see if the same reason works for abortion. The main argument is the
idea that a fetus is considered a person at the moment of conceptrion. since the fetus is considered a
person than the has a futuree like ours. The fetus will have plenty of experiences and happinies just
like any other being. ( page448)
Unlike Marquis, Thomson s famous article defended abortion. Based on her premises, the fetus is a
person from the moment of conception. Thomson main argument in the article the right of the fetus
life is not absolutely right. Thus, she defended that abortion is morally acceptable in some cases by
talking about The violinist experiment , The Burglar and The Case of the People Seeds. Every person

Romeo And Juliet Tragic Hero Research Paper
In tragedy, the tragic hero is the protagonist who possess a weakness that leads to his destruction and
suffers due to his errors. Even though the hero goes through a terrible defeat, his suffering gives
humanity an opportunity to validate itself and display redeeming qualities. Three main theories of the
tragic hero are the Aristotelian model, the Shakespearean model, and the modern tragic hero. Each
model has five defining characteristics, which are nobility, hamartia, downfall, anagnorisis, and
suffering. In the Shakespearean mode of tragedy, the play Romeo and Juliet models the tragic hero.
For instance, nobility is characterized by being upper class and having elevated character. Romeo
satisfies both these criteria through his position ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The downfall of Michael Phelps life started when he was seen smoking marijuana in a photograph that

from swimming. Phelps, at this point, abominated swimming at the Olympics and felt lost during his

After this tragic event, Phelps finally retired from the famous Olympic swimmer and lost himself

Abigail Fisher
I202 Final Assignment
May 4, 2015
Research Question:
How are museum curators incorporating new technology into exhibits to enhance participation from a
younger generations of Americans?
Background:
According to an article written by the Humanities, Arts, Science, and Technology Alliance and
Collaboratory museums across the United States are feeling more and more inclined to move toward
interactive exhibits. In order to do so, they are beginning to incorporate technologies into a visitor s
experience (Future). Therefore, this incorporation of technology and experience is directly related to
the study of social informatics.
Traditionally, research for museum exhibits has come from the fields of cognitive and behavioural
sciences to look at the pull that visitor s may feel towards a certain exhibit and how well the visitor
was able to obtain knowledge from the exhibit (Lehn). Now, social informatics, the interdisciplinary
study of the relationship between information technology and society, is also being used within the
museum culture in order to understand how much better a visitor experience can be when done with
technology. It also, however, raises the question of best for whom? The largest selection of patrons to
museums generally are from the baby boomer generation with younger generations of Americans
being the smallest section of museum participators. How can technology encourage the young without
alienating the old?

The And The Qur An Essay
His reference to the Qur an brings back to the moment he began establishing ethos with his stream of
metaphors that explain the ripple effect. Although, this time, he uses a more positive tone in the sense
that one good deed will lead to an infinite amount of good deeds. It s almost as if he carefully chose
this reference and purposefully delivers it 10 minutes after making the stream of metaphors. Making a
connection like that with a huge time gap is a very difficult task and requires a lot of eloquence,
something that only Barack Obama and a few other speakers possess. Each part of the speech includes
proof and refutation. For example, when Obama brings up the issue of Iraq, He provides the logical
argument that America has the responsibilities of helping Iraq and leaving Iraq to Iraqis. The
refutation occurs when he acknowledges nine eleven and how it led to reactions that were against
traditional belief and made the promise to take troops out of Iraq by 2012. He also makes the promise
to have Guantanamo Bay closed. These promises were big promises that received great attention. I
consider the promise Obama made about bringing all troops back from Iraq by 2012 to be one of the
most impactful promises that he made as a president because it affects nearly everyone s family and
friends in the United States. The next part that is about the issue of Palestinians and Israelis. He brings

Assimilation During Immigrants
mmigration is a subject that everyone is talking about. Specifically, assimilation during immigration.
Should people keep their culture or assimilate into society? In all fairness to both sides of this
argument, assimilation is necessary for everyday life to run smoothly for all americans, not just the
immigrants. This is because immigrants will usually not adhere to our food, religion, or language at
first. They then accept that adapting is the only way to survive. The reasoning behind assimilation is
fairly simple. While one could attempt to blend their culture and ours, if only given the option of one,
there is no question. Hardly anyone can function in a society without adapting to their environment,
which boils down to the very most basic

Romantic Relationships and Self-Esteem
Attachment style could serve as an indicator of other aspects of romantic relationships including
intimacy, dating goals, and well being. It was hypothesized that individuals who associated with
having either a secure or dismissive attachment style would also elicit high levels of dating goals as
well as intimacy levels and would have higher levels of self esteem. It was found that attachment style
had an effect on self esteem as well as intimacy levels of individuals. However, interestingly enough,
attachment style did not appear to have an effect on dating goals. Individuals who identified as being
dismissing avoidant elicited higher levels of self esteem than those who identified as being avoidant. It
is be to noted that for data analyses looking at attachment style in relation to self esteem, intimacy, and
dating goals the anxious/ambivalent attachment style was excluded due to insufficient numbers. This
finding does not fully support the original hypothesis due the secure attachment style not
demonstrating to be associated with higher levels of self esteem, as was predicted. Results also
indicated that those who identified as having a secure attachment style elicited higher levels of
intimacy than those who identified as being either dismissing avoidant or avoidant. There was a
significant positive correlation between self esteem and intimacy in support of the previous literature
that found relationship maintenance behaviors, in this case measured as intimacy,

Dancing Is A Language And Physical And Mental Skills
Dancing is a language, one anyone can read; however, the skill lies not in the ability to read, but in the
passion to write. When people hear the word dance, more specifically ballet, they associate it with a
stereotypical image of young girls prancing around in tutus, however, ballet goes beyond the scope
society has set for it. Most individuals don t fully comprehend that ballet is a literacy practice with
various skill sets. In Barton and Hamilton s Literary Practice they define a literacy practice as what
people do with the literacy (3). To be a ballerina you have to be well versed in an assortment of

The body itself is the main artifact or text that needs to be understood. The ballet is not just a manner
of linguistics, but the most classical branch of the language of dance, equivalent to the written and
spoken language of poetry. The beauty of ballet is that it can capture an audience and tell a story
simply through the movement of the body. John McConnell describes dance in his book, Ballet as
Body Language, as a series of connected, meaningful movements which externalize inner feelings (1).
They are storytellers who tell their stories through their body. Its refinement, grace and fortitude can
be used to propel powerful messages in captivating ways that both the dancer and audience can relate
to and understand. However, to be a ballerina and tell a story, you must have the ideal body to do so. A
ballet physique is by no means perfect and indisputably not natural, but fostered for a specific practice
that supports an undeniable regarded structure. Technically, balletic movement aims for
weightlessness in the lifting of individuals or limbs, in jumps or leaps, and in creating clean lines.
These specific necessities require an understanding for the body. In order to understand ones body, a
ballerina must be educated, to a degree, in kinesiology (the scientific study of human movement).

Adversity Research Paper
When facing catastrophe or hardship, people are often challenged to think outside of their comfort
zones and sometimes these challenges bring to light something that a person would never have
thought possible. I agree with Horace s quote about adversity and how it can be for the better. I believe
that most troubling situations can be resolved with ingenious thoughts. Notwithstanding my
agreement, I also recognized sometimes adversity can be the downfall of a person in a troubling
situation. However, occasionally these vicissitudes can turn out to be an integral part of something
much more important than them. My view on how to be successful in life is to take initiative, set
goals, and plan to make prosperous things happen in your life. Yet, this planning does not assure that
your future path will be free of pot holes, road blocks, or detours along the way. Having adversities in
your life can make you a versatile person. You can develop dexterity by having to use resources and
abilities you never deemed relevant or possible. The unanticipated ... Show more content on

What this quote means to me is that when adversity happens in life, it can cause people to want to

Compare And Contrast Frankenstein And Mary Shelly
Youthful Frankenstein and Mary Shelly s Frankenstein is viewed as one of the best spoof ever made.
Mel creeks portrays the excellent blood and guts movie in a really virtuoso viewpoint. In spite of the
fact that his portrayal is close to home the turn in his delineation is an illustration of the work of a
genuine virtuoso. This is the purpose behind the 1970s film industry victory. Furthermore he
transforms frightening circumstances into inconceivably interesting and silly circumstances. The
motion picture Young Frankenstein opens up what is done in high contrast. This was the same case
with Mary Shelly s Frankenstein s. The opening up of the film in highly contrasting was done to keep
the validness in Young Frankenstein. This was a move to make Young Frankenstein more alarming
and genuine.
Instead of the exciting music that goes with a negative circumstance, thunder blasts all through the

A prime example of the how restricted the definition is the case of Shah and Islam. The court felt that
women as a social is a too big a group. They narrowed the group to women, that are married and

general one and its meaning cannot be confined to those...which the framers of the Convention may

it seems that they are further restricting it. Examples like these show that the threshold is high and it

Menarche And Menopause
INTRODUCTION
Women who were the most dormant segment of the Indian population have now become active
participants in all aspects of life (Gyan, 2015). She bear s a special gift of bearing, rearing children.
The major concern in woman s life is reproductive health and they need enormous attention.
Menarche and menopause are the two important phase of the reproductive cycle. The menopause is a
time in women s life when the reproductive capacity ceases. In menopause, the post menopausal stage
is the time next to menopause and peri menopausal is the stage during which menopausal changes
occur (Pillitteri,1999).
In early menopausal transition, estrogen levels are generally normal or even slightly increased; the
level of follicle stimulating hormone begins to elevate but is generally in the normal range (Deborah

Why Is Dna Important In Criminal Investigation
DNA evidence in Criminal Investigation
DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid) a form of biological evidence found on a crime scene, which plays a
significant role in the field of criminal investigations. The use of DNA evidence has become an
important aspect in the criminal justice system because it helps aid criminal investigations in solving
crimes, identifying, convicting the guilty, and acquitting the wrongfully accused. Geacalone,
Giannuzzi, Panarello, (2018). Says scientific investigations and traditional investigative tools must go
hand and hand towards deciding the procedural truth; the validity of DNA s scientific evidence is
greater when contextualized and evaluated together with other elements found through the traditional
means of proof in any criminal procedural. Osterburg Ward, (2014). Says DNA analysis and profiling
are regarded by some law enforcement as the greatest breakthrough since the arrival of fingerprinting
and computers. Today, DNA test results are admissible in court as evidence in all 50 states. Prainsack,
Kitzberger, (2009). Says DNA profiling is a powerful forensic tool that appears as something larger
than just a forensic technology, it resonates with larger themes such as authority, injustice, and the

The Dangers Of Self Esteem
In today s society, I believe that there are many possible hazards if we focus too much on heightening
the self esteem of children. One example is that children with very high self esteem could have a lack
of motivation in regards to academic assignments and exams. They may not feel the need to study or
put in the work to try their best due to the fact that they have the mentality of I m so smart, so I don t
need to study. Another example is that high self esteem could lead children to losing respect towards
authority. When children become too arrogant, they develop this know it all attitude. They feel that
they are better than the authority figure and there is no reason to respect them. All in all, too much
focus on heightening self esteem can cause children to lack high goals and expectations and influence
them to disrespect authority figures. Instead, we should focus on developing a secure self esteem in
which children feel comfortable and happy about themselves. We should teach children the idea that

Violence In Hip Hop Music
Hip hop music and its artists are often criticized by some for glamorizing violence and being
questionable influences on today s youth. However, these artists and the dancing styles tied to their
music have not always been the same. In its roots, hip hop was originally designed to do just the
opposite. Originating on America s East coast, it was meant to distract the youth from the gang
violence riddling their neighborhoods and promote healthy competition through the popular art of
break dancing . Break dancing along with the art of graffiti meant that these neighborhoods had a
different means of competition rather than getting into fights, gun battles and other forms of violence
to decide which neighborhood was better. As the rhythmic beats ... Show more content on

Boogaloo Sam and his crew the Electric Boogaloo s are credited as being the first to pop . Popping,
often confused with locking , is when the performer uses quick yet fluid contractions of muscles to
match the rhythm of the music. This in turn has an illusionary effect that resembles the fluidity of
liquid water. On the other hand, Cambellocking now usually referred to as just locking is quite the
opposite of popping. Locking can be described as popping but for longer periods of time, creating a
less fluid and more staccato look to the moves. Locking was first made famous by Cambellock and his
crew The Lockers in 1969. Other street styles have developed from the western coast of the United
States, also.

Every single bit of their DNA is identical. Clones can happen naturally identical twins are just one of many examples. Or they can be made in the lab. Natural identical twins are similar to and different from clones made through modern cloning technologies. (Genetic Science Learning Center) Cloning has many different aspects; there is the moral, social and ethical aspects of cloning. Along with this you have to consider who is being cloned. There is cloning for a human being, animal, or even food. Depending on what is being cloned is what determines if it is allowed or not. Throughout this paper I will discuss many of the aspects of cloning. Many people first heard of cloning when Dolly the Sheep showed up on the scene in 1997. Artificial cloning technologies have been around for much longer than Dolly, though. There are two ways to make an exact genetic copy of an organism in a lab: artificial embryo twinning and somatic cell nuclear transfer. (Genetic Science Learning Center) This type of cloning has to do with organisms; so either human or animal. These techniques are done to produce twins. Though the techniques vary, they both are done to receive the same result. The type of cloning used to create Dolly the Sheep is Somatic Cell Nuclear Transfer, also known as nuclear transfer or therapeutic cloning. Without these teens carrying out this simple act of rebellion, students today would lack basic rights in the school place, as they would have no outlet outside of the home to express their views. In order to understand Tinker v. Des Moines Independent School District one must examine the history behind the case, analyze the case itself, and evaluate the impacts on modern society. To examine the history of a case that continues to affect students today, it is important to look at how the discrepancy began starting with Mary Beth, John, and Christopher. Recent rehabilitation guidelines now have a more scientific rationale and basis. • 8. Ambiguity In Henry James s Turn Of The Screw Henry James constructs an epic novel of romance and mystery, engendering many interpretations of Turn of the Screw. James intentionally creates ambiguity by utilizing an incomplete frame to introduce the atmosphere of a ghost story through its diction, setting, and tone, in order to capture an active reader who must interact with the text. Frames hold a distinct purpose to provide insight and background to the coming story, which James succeeds in, but goes one step farther. James introduces the obvious ambiguity in the prologue through its point of view in order to establish a participating reader to make judgements on their own from the very beginning. James introduces the atmosphere of a ghost story by consisting the frame of multiple tales being told out of competition at the third person point of view, which then allows the reader to experience the mood and perspective of a spectator rather than a teller. In the opening sentence, the narrator touches on the fact that it was a common tradition to exchange ghost stories on Christmas Eve by saying they were not sufficiently breathless out of horror, but because it was respectfully a favorable story. As well, there are other motivations for tales being told other than it being a tradition, which happens to be competition (Williams 49). Douglas exemplifies this when asking the reader and the surrounding characters, but it s not the first occurrence of its charming kind that I know to have involved a child. If the child ... The use of open heart surgery in eligible patients, such as coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) or a cardiac valve replacement are two surgical ways to extend the life of those living with heart disease. All of the dimensions of comfort must be met by the patient, the family and healthcare provider to enable healing or peaceful death, return to previous health state and promote health seeking behaviors (HSB). • 10. Dogs Rule, Cats Drool Dogs are happy to see you no matter what kind of mood you re in. Everyday when I come home from school my dog, Nemo, is there to greet me at the door by jumping on me and licking my face. I could ve had an amazing, miserable, tired, or content day and the jumping still continues. Canines are loyal friends and the relationship between dogs and humans goes way back. Dogs are better than cats because they assist humans and show more affection. Dogs have been domesticated for as long as 135,000 years which makes cats seem fairly new to the household. Both dogs and cats were originally used for reasons that benefited human work. Now a days, dogs are far more useful with job skills. When I was little, I used to live outside. Not literally, but just in the sense that I was an outdoors kind of child. I enjoyed helping my dad with household projects and was ecstatic when I found out he would build a tree house for me. While he built the major part of it with dangerous equipment, I put myself in charge of collecting sticks to try and help my father put it together. Sooner or later, Nemo, my dog, was running back and forth with sticks in his mouth helping me collect what I needed. Canines have the ability to serve as seeing eye dogs, firedogs, service dogs or just a playful, loyal companion. The closer the dog and human s relationship is, the stronger the feelings between them are. Canines have a talent of recognizing dangerous situation and being there for humans in their time of ... • 12. A Clockwork Orange Analysis A Clockwork Orange is a film directed by Stanley Kubrick, which explores the examination of the baser human emotions. The movie is set in a not so distant ,dystopian future, where an English society is dominated by an extreme culture of youth violence. The society in the film is one that is seemingly dictated by primal instincts, a society where murder and rape are commonplace and sexuality manages to penetrate the facets of their culture; appearing everyone from clothing to home decor. The story is told by the protagonist, Alex DeLarge. Alex is characterized as a psychopath and a juvenile delinquent that finds pleasure in violence and rape, but at the same time, he is intelligent with a sophisticated taste in art, literature and music, being particularly fond of Beethoven s 9th symphony. Alex undergoes a mental transformation when being a subjective to the Ludovico experiment which alters his disposition towards the immoral pleasure seeking activities that had previously entertained him. Freudian psychoanalytic theory aims to cure mental disorders by investigating the interaction of the conscious and unconscious elements in the mind. This theory is also based upon the specific theories of how the mind, the insitincts and secuality work, (Peter Berry, 92). Freud s conception of the human psyche includes the conscious, the preconscious and the unconscious. The different forms of Alex that we see before and after the Ludovico technique can be understood in the context of the three part structural model of the psyche conceived by Freud. That is, the id, the ego, and the superego. The id is the part of a personality that contains a person s primitive impulses, such as thirst, anger, hunger and the desire for instant gratification and release. Freud believed that the id is based on our pleasure principle, so whatever the id wants at that time to feel good, it will do it, with no regard or consideration for the reality of the situation. According to Freud, the id presents the unconscious, instinctive aspect of the personality that serves to relieve pain and tension through reflec and primary process, (Emmett and Veeder, 231). When I watch (which, by the way, is every week; religiously), I do so because of the intensity and intrigue of the program. The various medical cases that the show involves keep me on my toes and excited for what is about to happen next. It wasn t until this week, however, that I noticed just how many inequalities and separations there are between men and women in the show. First of all, the main character of House, Dr. Greg House, is a man. Whether or not the position could be played as either a man or a woman, I do not know. To only look at House s relationship with Cameron, however, would prove as an injustice. House is equally rude and uncouth with his other two employees. One is black, and one is British. To say that House ignores either of these factors would be completely incorrect. House refers to the black man as darky , asks him about crime related incidents, all in an effort to spite him. This is the same way he speaks with Cameron about her womanhood. Is he sexist? Is he racist? Maybe. Personally, I feel that he is not meant to be portrayed as such. I think he is just an old, angry man. Tonight s episode did not disappoint, and has actually proved quite pertinent to this assignment. It revolves around a sixteen year old supermodel who has a panic attack on the runway, punches a fellow model, and then collapses to the ground, unable to move, but still aware of what is around her. When she arrives at the hospital, her father admits to giving her Valium prior to her performance in order to help with nerves. Also, he later admits to having had sex with her a year or so again. House is not concerned with this information, and decided to keep the father around to ask him more questions about the daughter. Things can hold meaning behind them in a story that is not always what people would assume. In William Golding s Lord of the Flies, the symbol of a fire is shown many times, and its meaning progressively changes as the story goes on. The boys work to keep a fire going in book to attempt to be noticed and rescued. The fire always had a different level of importance to each boy, but there was always an overall underlying meaning behind it that affected them all. They believed that it was just a fire to create smoke, but there was always something more to it that the boys may or may not have been oblivious to. The symbol of the fire in The Lord of the Flies written by William Golding begins as a representation of hope, develops into a divider, and concludes as a figure of rescue. The fire that was created to be a smoke signal to anything that passes the island starts to become a vision of hope for the boys. The fire is first brought into the story very early when Ralph decides it is necessary if they want to be rescued. Mel creeks portrays the excellent blood and guts movie in a really virtuoso viewpoint. In spite of the fact that his portrayal is close to home the turn in his delineation is an illustration of the work of a genuine virtuoso. This is the purpose behind the 1970s film industry victory. Furthermore he transforms frightening circumstances into inconceivably interesting and silly circumstances. The motion picture Young Frankenstein opens up what is done in high contrast. This was the same case with Mary Shelly s Frankenstein s. The opening up of the film in highly contrasting was done to keep the validness in Young Frankenstein. This was a move to make Young Frankenstein more alarming and genuine. Instead of the exciting music that goes with a negative circumstance, thunder blasts all through the speakers of the TV. The way that there was no music in Mary Shelly s Frankenstein s, makes somebody feel that Young Frankenstein was only a copy of the first. This is demonstrated wrong when we meet Igor who was the character in the first. His witty chitchat and entertaining analyses make him assume a noteworthy part in the film. Regardless of the enforcement laws signatory states have been able to keep authority over the flow of refugees individually keeping their territorial supremacy. In my opinion refugee law has not challenged the principle of state sovereignty enough as some people still seem to fall within the cracks and are not afforded protection. States are still refusing to to give a little of their power away in order to protect human rights. They narrowed the group to women, that are married and allegedly committed adultery and said that they are a social group. the concept of social group is a general one and its meaning cannot be confined to those...which the framers of the Convention may have had in mind . Some argued that the court in this case are trying to broaden the threshold however it seems that they are further restricting it. Examples like these show that the threshold is high and it doesn t seem like the courts are considering broadening it any time soon. The definition is already restrictive and it goes further saying even if they satisfy the conditions in the definition under section 1A, they can still lose the refugee status or even be denied it under sections 1C 1F. 1F is the main provision that has the exclusion from refugee status. Though the provision clearly states serious reasons for considering we are not sure how each state would view that. There are two contrasting cases on this. • 36. House On Mango Street Compare And Contrast Essay According to talkproverty.org 21.4% of Hispanics in America are living in poverty. A book call The House on Mango Street and a movie call Stand and Deliver, represent the struggle of being a Hispanic in America. The House on Mango Street is similar to the movie, Stand and Deliver because the characters were judged based on where they lives, the characters have low self esteem, and the females were expected to take care of family. The House on Mango Street is also different from the movie, Stand and Deliver, because of the encouragement the characters received by adults, the relationships the characters build, and the different viewpoint the characters have on where they will be in the future. In my opinion, The House on Mango Street interests me more than Stand and Deliver, because the book leaves you wondering what is going to happen next, allows you to imagine the characters, and it has different storylines. ... From Stand and Deliver, Pancho did not think he was smart enough to solve the calculus equation on the board. • 41. The Dangers Of Self Esteem In today s society, I believe that there are many possible hazards if we focus too much on heightening the self esteem of children. One example is that children with very high self esteem could have a lack of motivation in regards to academic assignments and exams. They may not feel the need to study or put in the work to try their best due to the fact that they have the mentality of I m so smart, so I don t need to study. Another example is that high self esteem could lead children to losing respect towards authority. When children become too arrogant, they develop this know it all attitude. They feel that they are better than the authority figure and there is no reason to respect them. All in all, too much focus on heightening self esteem can cause children to lack high goals and expectations and influence them to disrespect authority figures. Instead, we should focus on developing a secure self esteem in which children feel comfortable and happy about themselves. We should teach children the idea that not everyone is perfect and that they should accept their flaws. When children realize that they are not perfect and can still make improvement, they can set goals for themselves and establish determination to get better. 4. However, these artists and the dancing styles tied to their music have not always been the same. In its roots, hip hop was originally designed to do just the opposite. Originating on America s East coast, it was meant to distract the youth from the gang violence riddling their neighborhoods and promote healthy competition through the popular art of break dancing . Break dancing along with the art of graffiti meant that these neighborhoods had a different means of competition rather than getting into fights, gun battles and other forms of violence to decide which neighborhood was better. Locking can be described as popping but for longer periods of time, creating a less fluid and more staccato look to the moves.
