Marge Piercy s Poem To Be Of Use
Through the means of literary devices, Marge Piercy, in her poem To Be of Use, expresses how one
should always persevere through life and do hard work. One shouldn t ever simply grumble about
their problem, but instead, treat each task with their best work. The author respects those who strain in
the mud and muck to move things forward . This particular quote is a purposeful example of
alliteration. Mud , and muck , as well as move , all sound similar, much like a tongue twister. Hence,
this forces the reader to slow down and focus on that, as if barrelling through the phrase like the hard
work described. The metaphor, I love people who harness themselves, an ox to a heavy cart uses the
ox versus another animal because of the work

Napoleon Arsenic Poisoning
The cause of death of Napoleon Bonaparte has been debated for many years, with many conflicting
reports being released to explain his death. It seems to be a debate between an extensive carcinoma of
the stomach complicated by terminal bleeding (disease which had taken the life of several close
relatives) or arsenic poisoning (murder). It has been said that he was suffering from intractable
vomiting, constipation, hiccupping, possible thrombophlebitis migraines, and weakness among others,
only some of which are acute effects of arsenic poisoning.1 Articles had appeared stating that
Napoleon was poisoned while on the St. Helena island once arsenic was said to be found in his hair.2
The issue found with this, is the conflicting amounts of concentration

The Importance Of Green Fluorescent Protein
In the 1960 s, Green Fluorescent Protein was discovered to be responsible for Aequorea victoria s
fluorescence under UV light (Niwa et al., 1996). Today, GFP is often used in protein tagging and has
made it possible for scientists to study expression and track proteins in vivo. With the rising
importance of GFP fusion proteins and other recombinant vectors, the metal affinity of Histidine helps
to make the protein purification process easier (Lilius et al., 1991). His tags are commonly used to
purify proteins through immobilized metal affinity chromatography (IMAC) (Lilius et al., 1991). This
rapid and efficient method separates the recombinant protein from unwanted products such as RNA.
The His tag DNA sequence is inserted into the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It is of strong interest to molecular biologists because of the strong light emission of 508 nm under
UV light. UV wavelengths excite the fluorophore, contained in the Ser Tyr Gly sequence near GFP s N
terminus, and a bright green fluorescence is given off as a result (Niwa et al., 1996). GFP can be
successfully tagged to many proteins without disturbing their function (Feilmeier et al., 2000). This
allows scientists to exploit the protein for its usefulness in marking proteins in vivo. GFP tagging has
many applications. It can be used to study gene expression by inserting gfp after a promotor in the
plasmid, so that if expressed, the colony expressing the gene of interest can be identified by a green
fluorescence of GFP under UV light (Feilmeier et al., 2000). Specific cellular organelles can be
tagged, such as the endoplasmic reticulum, to visualize protein localization and networking inside the
living cell. GFP can also be used to monitor cofactor levels within a cell in real time. For example,
when GFP was tagged to proteins that contain a receptor sensitive to Ca2+, they interacted in a way so
that the fluorescence of the fusion protein was proportional to the calcium ion concentration with less
than a 1 second lag in the cell (Romoser et al., 1997). Throughout the decades, GFP mutants have
been created to give brighter emission and different wavelengths. Researchers can track separate cell
pathways at the same time, since different proteins can

Blindness Or Low Vision, Cancer, And Alzheimer s Disease
Blindness or low vision is one of the most feared illness by Americans, ranking fourth after acquired
immunodeficiency by syndrome, cancer, and Alzheimer s disease. The National Eye Institute reports
that blindness or low vision affect 3.3 million American 40 years and older, this number is projected to
reach 5.5 million by 2020. As the U.S. population ages, the number of persons with major eye disease
is increasing. Octogenarians currently make up 8 percent of the population, but they account for 69
percent of blindness. Age related macular degeneration (AMD) accounts for 54 percent of all
blindness and is the leading cause of blindness among white Americans. Cataracts are the most
prevalent eye disease in older persons and are the leading cause of blindness worldwide. Almost all
persons in their 90s will have had a cataract surgery is the most common therapeutic surgical
procedure reimbursed by Medicare, with more than 1.5 million operations performed annually.
Diabetic retinopathy is the leading cause of new blindness in U.S. adults 20 to 74 years of age. Low
vision ranks behind arthritis and heart disease as the third most common chronic cause of impaired
function in persons older than 70 years. Patients with vision impairment are more likely to fall, make
medication errors, have depression, or report social isolation. With rehabilitation, many patients with
impaired vision can attain independence, retain their jobs, and lessen their reliance on social services

Balancing Ecosystems
Dear City Council: I am writing you concerning matters of restoring balance to the city s ecosystem.
An ecosystem is a factor in the biological community that consists of occurrences locally, chemical
factors, as well as physical, make up the environment non living or abiotic. The unbalanced ecosystem
in Sparksville s aquatic system is the situation at hand. The boundaries of this ecosystem are being
addressed for reasons having to do with the goal of restoring the lake back to normal. The invasions of
Grass Carp have made it almost impossible for the rest of the underwater community to be in
existence. The changes in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The leaves of the new plants can contain chemicals that add to the ecosystem problem in the lake.
Many more problems can occur within the environment, leaving animals are to feed off of the non
native harmful crops, and the chain will go on because humans feed off of animals. Ultimately the
entire community can be affected by this Carp problem. Keep in mind it is not the intent of the
invasive species to be invasive or they start off being invasive then the ecosystem will find a unique
way of bringing everything under control on its own. The ecosystem in town possesses many
mechanisms that it needs to keep the whole system equally balanced. The dynamics to help persons in
this city strive and restore include predation; the need to prey on other animals is how a species
survive, but it should be under control. Conditions and temperature play a large role as well. It is the
responsibility of the humans to control the conditions that come into the town by understanding the
animals and fish that come into the environment and lake. The environment needs the help and
support of the community to be successful. When everyone is working together and not against each
other things tend to come together easier because everyone is working towards the same goal and
objective. Prairie Dog Festival held each summer celebrates the community s environment awareness.
Sparksville is facing a hardship, and the goal is to get things back in order

Effects Of A Bad Day Essay
Growing up everyone has their own experiences. These range from having your first kiss, to finding
out that giraffes may not actually be real. However, no matter how life changing one of these
experiences may be, the change doesn t occur overnight. Instead it s a steady process where each
single event builds on each other to make an individual who they are. With these experiences come
moments of extreme highs as well as extreme lows, and while having a good day is the preference of
the many, a bad day is what many of us take for granted. Sukhraj Dhillon explained this concept best
when he wrote, Good days give you happiness, and bad days give you experience. This quote rings
true for many, however when we are faced with a bad day it often leaves us with much less than a
positive mindset. And so today, we ll form a better relationship ... Show more content on

bad. Next, we drudged through our day as we took a look at how bad trumps good every time. Before
lastly wrapping up our day as we established the overall benefits we gain from a bad day. Bad days
play an influential role in our lives, and while we wish they didn t exist, without them we wouldn t be
where we are today as individuals. Therefore we need to change our perception of bad days from a
negative one to a positive one. We also need to recognize that having a bad day has more impact than
a good day. Once we come to recognize these facts as well as incorporate them in our lives we ll begin
to see bad days as not something that degrades us, but that builds us up. The shift towards seeing bad
days as a beneficial experience will both enlighten us, as well as provide us with a better mindset
when we are faced by unfavorable challenges. As famous pop star artist Miley Cyrus said, Always

The Paris Climate Change And Investment Towards A Low...
An historic agreement was signed on 12th December 2015 by 195 nations in Paris, France to flight
climate change and investment towards a low carbon economy, sustainable cities and clean energy.
The Paris climate change agreement in COP 21 for the first time brings 195 countries into a common
cause based on their future, current and past responsibilities (Adaptation of the Paris climate
agreement; Dec 2015). But still we many questions in our mind, what does it mean to us? What does it

Source Carbonbrief; published on 12 12 2015
Paris agreement main goal is to keep a global temperature rise in 21st century well below 2 degrees
Celsius and to make an effort to limit the temperature increase even further to 1.5 degrees Celsius
above pre industrial level(Adaptation of the paris climate agreement; Dec 2015).
Ban Ki moon(UN Secretary General) said after the conference in Paris : We have entered a new era of
global cooperation on one of the most complex issues ever to confront humanity. For the first time,
every country in the world has pledged to curb emissions, strengthen resilience and join in common
cause to take common climate action. This is a resounding success for multilateralism (Historic Paris
Agreement on Climate Change, December 2015).

U.s. Taxpayers Paid $ 256 Billion For Healthcare
In 1980, U.S. taxpayers paid $256 billion for healthcare services. In 2012, they paid nearly $2.8
trillion for healthcare services (Centers for Medicare Medicaid Services. 2012). This represents a
tenfold increase in a single generation. Although some of the most expensive medical conditions to
treat may not be preventable, there are a myriad of preventable diseases that add to the economic
burden that Americans carry each year. When one also considers the rise in childhood obesity rates
and other related and non related chronic illnesses, the role of nurses as educators in our schools and
communities has become critical to the continued success of our nation.
In 2009, data were collected by the National Youth Risk Behavior Survey (YRBS) that clearly
demonstrated the relationship between health risk behaviors and academic achievement in high school
students. Students with higher grades were less likely to engage in health risk behaviors such as
cigarette smoking, alcohol use, unhealthy diets, and increased sexual activity. Unfortunately, the
statistics reported by Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) for health risk behaviors in
American adults were grim. In 2012, 42 million adults reported that they smoked cigarettes and nearly
47% of American adults have at least one major risk factor for heart disease or stroke. These included
uncontrolled high blood pressure, uncontrolled high levels of LDL cholesterol, lack of aerobic
exercise, and poor nutrition.

The pyramids of Giza were three pyramids which were the pyramid of Menkaure, the pyramid of
Khafre and the Great Pyramid of Khufu. They were all three precisely aligned with the Constellation
of Orion. But when people talk about the great pyramid of Giza they are usually referring to the Great
Pyramid of Khufu. The base of that pyramid covered fifty five thousand meters squared. The interior
temperature of the pyramid is constant and equals the average temperature of earth, which is sixty
eight degrees Fahrenheit. The outer mantle was made of 144k casing stones and all of them were
highly polished and flat. They each weight fifteen tons. The corner stone foundations of the pyramid
were made with a ball and socket construction, which was capable of dealing with expansion due to
heat and also earthquakes. The pyramid was originally covered with a casing stone that as made of
highly polished limestone. The casing stones reflected the sun s light which made the pyramid shine.
The pyramid was also aligned north and was only off by 3/60 of a degree. The four faces of the
pyramid were slightly concave and it s known for being the only pyramid to be built that way. Also the

Movements for Social Change in an Integrated Global...
Income inequality between the rich and the poor continues to be a significant concern in the United
States, prompting national headlines and serious political debate regarding governmental policy.
Historically, economies based on capitalism tend to have a pro business stance, implementing pro
business policies to spur economic growth (Zinn, 2010). The typical role of the labor union has been
to help improve economic equality between workers and the companies that employ them; however,
unions have also helped their members pursue political action and influence the electoral process to
achieve their aims as well (Hodson Sullivan, 2008). Beyond unions, non governmental organizations
also pursue political action to address broad social ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For example, child labor produces goods in sweatshops located in developing countries; goods that
make their way into the supply chains of major multinational retailers (McDougall, 2008). In addition,
when work moves to developing countries, there is an impact on the workers in developed countries
that lose their jobs to lower cost labor pools; namely costs that are transferred to the public sector like
unemployment or retraining for workers (Bibby, 2004). To more effectively deal with issues raised by
multinationals operating in an integrated global economy, there are a growing number of international
labor organizations including UNI Global Union, a global union that represents 900 trade unions and
20 million workers ( UNI Global Union, 2011). There are several advantages in using a global,
federated approach to labor unions, namely a larger pool of workers that provide the basis for union
influence, greater coordination on issues that span national boundaries and the resulting ability to
influence the policy and business decisions of large multinationals. The most significant disadvantage
to a global, federated approach to unions is the increased scope and complexity of problem that arises
from the requirement to represent a large diverse constituency with diverse needs. For instance, in the
case of outsourced jobs, the recipients of new jobs may not

Mexican Restaurant Research Paper
Best Authentic Mexican Restaurants in Little Rock
Everyone has their own favorite type of cuisine. Common favorites range from American, to Italian, to
Chinese, and for me, Mexican. I spent one year in Arkansas at Little Rock and found the best Mexican
restaurant in the area. Currently, I have tried eight different Mexican restaurants, which include both
Tex Mex and Authentic Mexican Restaurants. I picked my top four favorite authentic Mexican
restaurants to review and critique based on price, menu, service, house salsa, and appearance to help
peoples, as future customers, decide which restaurant is the best choice for them.
For all four restaurants none of them are entirely overpriced. In terms of bang, buck Riviera Maya is
best option. He/she pay $8 $9 for a quality burrito that he/she can only finish about half of. Taqueria
Karina Cafe is pricier, but for the amount of food a person get and how fantastic the quality is, it is
worth the few extra dollars compared to the other restaurants. Senor Tequilas is very cheap, but the
customers pay for what they get which is a smaller portion of food at a lower quality. Lastly, El Porton

Interview Exam results are not enough; Cambridge likes to see what it is getting. A personal statement
is also required, which if compelling enough will result in an invitation to be interviewed. This is the
most crucial and scary part of the application process and is designed to investigate the student s
suitability. There are myths surrounding the interviews. Contrary to widely held views, the admissions
tutors state they do not set out to trick candidates with weird questions, but discuss issues around the
chosen subject and personal statement. Students need to display flexible minds that are receptive to
teaching; they have to be passionate and processes mental stamina. Being nervous will not count
against the student but they do need to voice and defend opinions with logic. Many successful
candidates said they relished the opportunity to discuss their opinions with a world leading authority,
finding it both challenging and invigorating. Choosing a college The university prospectus, has in the
past, informed potential applicants that the college they choose is not that important because the
teaching will be the same. Many students disagree. Teaching may well be similar but it is still vital
that students choose a college they will feel comfortable in: after all for undergraduates this is going to
be home for at least three years. Ranges of unique colleges, large and small, are available for

Explain The Structure Of The Heart
The heart is the organ that pumps blood throughout the body and to your lungs. It supplies nutrients
and oxygen to many tissues and removes the waste products and carbon dioxide. The heart has 4
chambers called the left and right atrium and the left and right ventricle. These are separated by valves
that stop the backflow of the blood that may occur due to the pumping motion. The other two valves
separate the entrances to the aorta and the pulmonary artery. The right side of your heart receives de
oxygenated blood from the aorta which is bringing the blood from which cells have extracted nutrients
and oxygen. It then pumps this blood to the lungs which releases the carbon dioxide and replenishes
the oxygen. This blood then comes back through

Referent Power in Leadership
Referent Power
I. Topic of Inquiry
It is important for managers to understand the sources of power and influence as they must rely upon
the cooperation of subordinates in order to be successful. Strong managers rely upon more than just
authority they also use leadership skills and power to obtain the most productivity from their staff.
According to French and Raven (1959) there are five sources of power. Referent power seems to be
the most influential and the least affected by change. To quote Paul Argenti,
Coercive power relies on the fact that people fear you, and reward power is only effective so long as
people value the rewards you have to offer. Legitimate power relies on your rank in the company
hierarchy, and recent events ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
3.) Nurturing. Another component of developing referent leadership is nurturing. According to
Thompson (1996) a referent leader takes an interest in the feelings of other people and exhibits
concern for them. They know the aspirations, fears, capabilities, and attitudes (Henderson Moskos,
1985, p. 112) of others and they help people feel capable and good about themselves (DuBrin, 1995).
These traits help to create friendship and over a longer period of time loyalty.
4.) Being a good role model / Being trustworthy. In order to have people drawn to you it is important
that they respect you. Being a good role model, being truthful and being trustworthy will reinforce that
respect.
How is it used?
Referent power can be used to influence opinion because it can create conscious or unconscious
acceptance of the agent s opinion with little or no question. It can also be used to influence behaviors.
As stated by Locke (2003) When identification is strong, imitation [of the agent s behavior] is likely to
occur even without any conscious effort (p. 247) to influence. And the target person may not be
consciously aware that they are emulating the agent. The stronger the identification or admiration the
more powerful influence can be. This was expressed well by Locke (2003) People are usually willing
to do special favors for a friend, and they are more likely

Coastal Artillery Research Paper
Coastal Artillery is an anti ship artillery used to defend the coast with heavy sized weapons. In this
essay, you will learn a few facts on the history of Coastal artillery, and weaponry.
From the middle ages to WWII, Coastal artillery was highly important to the U.S. in the defense of the
coast and in naval battles. One of the first uses of coastal artillery was in 1381, but it expanded in the
16th century, during the Age of Discoveries. In 1794, Coastal artillery was established as a branch in
the army, creating the first system in 1794 and the second system in 1804. Coastal artillery was
organized into 7 regiments, two of which were created in 1898. However, in 1901 Coastal Artillery

The Army has used coastal artillery in many wars, and using the weaponry to defend the United States
coast. Because of the lack of Airplanes, and much of America s enemies could only reach using the
sea. They used heavy fortifications but also used things like, submarine minefields, nets and booms,
ships, and maybe even planes themselves. All of the armed forces contributed to the defense of the
coast. In WWI, Subs and planes became more useful and important.
Coastal artillery was responsible for the installation and operation of controlled mine fields. Weapons
for discharging missiles, placed along the shore for defense against naval attack. After WWI, all but
10 regiments were disbanded. In 1922, coastal artillery acquired new 16 inch and 14 inch weapons,
however they received them in short supply. Fifteen Philippine Scouts Coastal Artillery were created
in 1922.
It was considered that one shore based gun was equal to three naval guns of the same caliber. Land
based guns also benefited in most cases from additional protection to walls. The larges guns used by
coastal artillery were generally of 16 inch diameter. The 14 inch gun M1907 and its variants were
large weapons installed between 1895 and 1945. They weighed around 111,900 pounds, and were 495
inches in length. Shooting a shell that weighed 1,660 pounds. The gunners would feed this weapon by

Theory Z
Theory Z
Theory Z is a name applied to three distinctly different psychological theories. One was developed by
Abraham H. Maslow in his paper Theory Z and the other is Dr. William Ouchi s so called Japanese
Management style popularized during the Asian economic boom of the 1980s. The third was
developed by W. J. Reddin in Managerial Effectiveness (19 Situation guides) man: * Reason
motivates him. * Interdependence is man s primary mode of discourse. * Interaction is man s social
unit of importance.

The word Wa in Japanese can be applied to Theory Z because they both deal with promoting
partnerships and group work. The word Wa means a perfect circle or harmony, which influences
Japanese society to always be in teams and to come to a solution together. Promoting Theory Z and
the Japanese word Wa is how the Japanese economy became so powerful. And also because the
Japanese show a high level enthusiasm to work, some of the researchers claim that Z in the theory Z
stands for Zeal .
Ouchi wrote a book called Theory Z How American Business Can Meet the Japanese Challenge
(1981), in this book; Ouchi shows how American corporations can meet the Japanese challenges with
a highly effective management style that promises to transform business in the 1980 s. The secret to
Japanese success, according to Ouchi, is not technology, but a special way of managing people. This is
a managing style that focuses on a strong company philosophy, a distinct corporate culture, long range
staff development, and consensus decision making (Ouchi, 1981). Ouchi shows that the results show
lower turn over, increased job commitment, and dramatically higher productivity.
William Ouchi doesn t say that the Japanese culture for business is necessarily the best strategy for the
American companies but he takes Japanese business techniques and adapts them to the American
corporate environment. Much like McGregor s theories, Ouchi s Theory Z makes certain assumptions

Nature Morte, essentially still life, refers to the portrayal of inanimate objects within images. One
Artist, recognized for his iconic impressionistic still life work, is Edouard Manet (1832 1883). Manet
is revered for being a key instigator in the transition from realism to impressionism; his still life
impressionism works were amongst those considered the genesis of the impressionist movement in the
late 19th Century. Manet was raised in Paris, to affluent family. Upon failure to make it into the Navy,
Manet began to find his love for art and painting. Manet s work The Melon (c.1880), a still life
painting of a single watermelon, encapsulates this historical movement of still life paintings.
Manet s titular work The Melon s solitary subject matter is a watermelon. The composition of this
painting is simple, a trait of Manet s which developed along side his journey into impressionism.
Despite being a journey that was heavily criticized, it is the style and nuance of Manet s melon, which
sets it apart from traditional still life images. The melon is isolated. It s placed on an innocuous beige
support, against a solid black background. However it is through the use of this space around the
Melon that Manet is able to utilize the light, which floods the left side of the melon, to create a very
soft, fragile, beautiful painting. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It is this bold style, which, at the time, viewers found jarring and unnatural, that attracts modern day
viewers to Manet s work. The sudden transitions between the colors within the melon, dictated by the
soft light source, complement the bold textures. It is this transition of color that gives the object its
clear 3D shape. Every brushstroke operated individually, drawing attention to the shape and texture of

Social Movements In Donald Trump s Presidential Campaign
Social movements exist amongst various areas of people s everyday life. For example, the world has
been introduced to social movements such as the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, in which people are
challenged to dump a bucket of ice on their heads in support of an ALS charity. Another example
includes the shooting in Ferguson, Missouri, to which an African American man by the name of
Michael Brown was shot by a Caucasian police officer; this sparked Americans to use various support
methods to generate awareness to racism and policy brutality. Both of these scenarios exemplifies the
power social movements possess in society today. The purpose of this paper is to explain how to social

Think of America as an organization: the CEO, Zealots, will preside over the masses; the Disciples,
management and leaders, will convey the messages leadership wants to release; the Congregation,
employees, will accept what ownership says and implement the necessary changes that have been set,
such as news laws and rules. In terms of Donald Trump and his election, all three types of people are
affected by his decisions. Trump and company, represented by the term Zealots, are responsible for
compiling all pertinent information regarding his campaign: stances on immigration, fixing the
economy, handling ISIS and creating jobs. Trump s tagline of Let s make America great again is being
inserted into each rally, campaign, promotion and Republican material. The congregations, the masses
of people, are unlikely to remember anything Trump states at his rallies, but they all will remember his
infamous tagline of Let s make America great again. This is an example of Zealots conveying the
overall message to create propaganda to

Positive Impact Of Christopher Columbus s Discoveries
Positive Impact of Christopher Columbus s Discoveries
The world is a better place because of Christopher Columbus important discoveries in the New World.
His explorations resulted in the vast expansion of property for Europe, the exchange of goods and
cultures between countries and a change in the worldview of geography. Columbus s explorations
were the catalyst for unprecedented trade known as the Columbian Exchange, which started the
exchange of goods and ideas that would last for centuries and change the world forever. His
discoveries unearthed new perspectives and created a mix of diverse biology between Europe and the
New World. These exchanges changed the world we live in today and will continue to fuel centuries
of exploration and discoveries. The Columbian Exchange was the beginning of the expansion of trade
between the New World and Europe. The Columbian Exchange started the flow of goods between
continents that had not shared the same borders since Pangaea. Columbus voyage, along with the
many voyages that followed, disrupted much of the biological segregation brought about by
continental drift. (McNeil, 1). Journalist Charles Mann states in his research for his book, 1493:
Uncovering the New World Columbus Created, on the Columbian Exchange that No other person,
changed the face of the Earth as radically as Columbus did. Columbus crossing of the Atlantic, Mann
says, marked the start of a new age, not only for the Americas but also for Europe, Asia

A Critique of Chapter 11 in Neil Postman s Technopoly Essay
A Critique of Chapter 11 in Neil Postman s Technopoly In chapter 11 (The Loving Resistance Fighter)
of the book Technopoly, published in 1992, Neil Postman focuses on a solution to the problems
created by Technopoly. A Technopoly (a word postman capitalizes throughout the book) is a society
that no longer merely uses technology as a support system but instead is shaped by it. Postman
proposes that we become loving resistance fighter(s) who retain the narratives and symbols that once
made the United States the hope of the world (p.182). He believes education is to lead the resistance
against technology by changing the curriculum to help restore a sense of meaning and purpose lost to
the Technopoly. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In chapter 11 Postman gives examples of people who resist the American Technopoly. An example of
a resistance fighter is a person who ignores a poll unless they know the questions asked and why. As
Postman introduced in chapter 8 ( Invisible Technologies ), the form of a question can produce many
different answers. It may also restrict us from seeing solutions to problems that may become visible
through a question worded differently. Postman shares the story of two priests who write the Pope
asking if it was allowable to smoke and pray at the same time. One priest phrased the question Is it
permissible to smoke while praying? and the response was no because praying should be the focus of
ones attention; the other priest asked Is it permissible to pray while smoking? and the response was
yes, since it is always appropriate to pray. The opinion of almost any issue is a function of the question
asked. In the American Technopoly the opinion poll is a strict yes or no answer to an unexamined
question. One is therefore unable to share their knowledge and is easily mislead to answer a question
in a certain way. Another example of a resistance fighter is a person who does not allow psychology or
any social science to pre empt the language and thought of common sense. This example clearly
relates to chapter 9 ( Scientism ), in which Postman expresses his annoyance of the many people who
have a strong

Selfishness In Kate Chopin s A Pair Of Silk Stockings
Selfishness is not living as one wishes to live, it is asking others to live as one wishes to live. This
quote by Oscar Wilde is relative to the actions of Mrs.Sommers, considering her children and the state
in which her family lives in. In A Pair of Silk Stockings, by Kate Chopin, a mother of at least four
children temporarily escapes the hardships of motherhood for a day and enjoys long missed
extravagance. She was formerly a woman of luxury, and when she acquires a large amount of money,
she decides to rediscover the world of riches. Her actions are selfish in doing so, because her family is
not in a stable condition, she is a mother of several children, and she does not deserve this opulent
treatment. Mrs.Sommers s family is not

Sister Carrie Essay
Theodore Dreiser s Sister Carrie is a simple tale of a young, pretty eighteen year old girl Caroline
Meeber also know as Carrie.
When Carrie got on the train from Columbia City to Chicago she had only few cheap items in her
trunk and her sister s address on a piece of paper. Being only eighteen she was still quot;full of the
illusions of ignorance and youth quot;(Dreiser, 7). She was both afraid of the things to come and
exited by the countless possibilities offered by one of the largest cities of the late 19th century
Chicago.
As soon as Carrie arrives in Chicago various obstacles face her. She has no experience at working
outside home, which makes finding any work very difficult. She does not like the simple, and in her

When she goes off with him there is no conflict within her, no regrets, no second thoughts. As soon as
an opportunity to leave her boring life arrived Carrie took it and never looked back. All she cared
about was the fact that now she no longer needed to work long hours for little pay. By becoming
Drouet s kept woman she no longer had to worry about getting comfortable clothing, good meal and
money. People knew her as Mrs. Drouet and she liked it. Through Drouet Carrie met her next man
Hurstwood, a manager at Fitzgerald and Moy . Carrie flirted and spend time with him without giving
it a second thought. It did not bother her that Hurstwood was twice her age in fact he was old enough
to be her father. She never stopped to think that someone of his position, and in her eyes he was
definitely much higher on a social scale than Drouet, might be married, have a family, responsibilities
and obligations to them as well as to others. To Carrie quot;Hurstwood seemed drag in the direction of
honor quot;(Dreiser, 128), but how would she know what honor was and what it meant? She had none
otherwise she would never leave her family to become a kept woman and soon after that a home
wrecker. Hurstwood left his wife, children and respectable job to carry on his affair with Carrie. He
even stole from his longtime employers to be with Carrie. In return she dumped him when he proved

What Is The Grand Canyon Essay

6 March 2017
The Grand Canyon According to National Geographic, Over five million people visit the Grand
Canyon every year. But, most people do not realize what the Grand Canyon hold or how it was made.
Most people believe it was created millions of years ago by years and years of erosion. Evolutionists
states that the Grand Canyon is over two million years old. But, there are new facts and new theories
that make more sense and more reasonable. Creationist say that there are over three ways that the
Grand Canyon was formed. The three ways were the biblical and historical flood, layers of sediment
rock being layer down over thousands of years, and the one and only God created to be there for a
purpose. The first and main reason of how the Grand Canyon was formed because of the biblical
flood. The flood was a worldwide wide flood that was strong enough to carve out rivers and canyons

The sediment rocks in the Grand Canyon are all perfectly layer down throughout the Canyon. Psalm
104:8 says that At the end of the flood, the mountains rose and the valleys sank down, causing the
water to drain off the continents into the basins . (ESV). This means that the flood went through and
formed the Grand Canyon including the layers inside. The layers are all even and in the same position
throughout the canyon.Andrew Snelling and Tom vail state Evidence shows, The Grand Canyon was
formed rapidlyas were the layers into which it was carved . (Snelling et. al. np.). This means the
Bibles view of how old the earth is, is very close, unlike evolution is a view of how old it is. The
sentiment rock in the Grand Canyon is very close to the Bible, evolutionists view are millions of years

Dr. Leslie Wills
Abstract
A few years ago, there was much discussion relating to the National Collegiate Athletic Association
(NCAA) and those units responsible for instituting student athlete and athletic department policy. This
purpose of this paper is to discuss the ethical misconduct that occurred at Penn State, Ohio State and
the University of Arkansas, and how the NCAA played a role in the wrongdoing. Coaches, players,
and administrators face mounting pressures brought on by the need to sell seats and win games. In
response, this type of pressure creates opportunities for offenses to take place. The first component of
the paper will be to determine the fundamental ways in which the ethics programs of the NCAA failed
to prevent the scandals at Penn State, Ohio State, and the University of Arkansas. Once those
measures are identified and discussed, the ways the NCAA leadership contributed to the ethical
violations of these schools will be discussed. The next element of the paper will predict the key
differences in the scandals that occurred at each school if an effective ethics program was
implemented. Next, the paper will suggest actions that the NCAA leadership should take to regain the
trust and confidence of the students and stakeholders. The last section will identify measures that HR

Benefits Of Effective Teams Within Healthcare
Introduction
It is critical for employees in the healthcare industry to work collaboratively across disciplines to meet
the needs of patients. Fewster Thuente (2015) state that ineffective collaboration between providers
and nurses account for roughly 70% of major medical errors. Therefore, it is critical for disciplines to
work collaboratively to prevent fragmentation of care and provide positive patient outcomes (Fewster
Thuente, 2015; Havens, Vasey, Gittell Lin, 2010). Buchbinder and Shanks (2012) state that the
benefits of effective teams within healthcare include coordination of care, efficient use of healthcare
services, increased productivity, increased trust among team members, increased job satisfaction, and
higher patient satisfaction.
Ezziane et al. (2012) described five core components of teamwork that include team leadership,
mutual performance monitoring, backup behavior, adaptability, and team orientation. High performing
teams use these elements to develop a culture for speaking up, and situational awareness among team
members. Situational awareness refers to a person s perception and understanding of their dynamic
environment, and human errors often result from a lack of such awareness (Ezziane et al., 2012).
These teamwork constructs provide the foundational basis for understanding how hospitals can
identify teamwork challenges, assess team performance, and design effective interventions.
Benefits of teams include sharing different ideas and

Essay The Current Status of Medical Marijuana
In the year 2008, Michigan voted in the use of marijuana for medical purposes. I will be exploring two
papers, the first is Prohibition Works: Keeping Marijuana Illegal, the second is Legalization of
Marijuana. In the paper Prohibition Works the author discusses numerous reasons marijuana should be
kept illegal, and the second paper Legalization of Marijuana the author makes many valid points on
why marijuana should be legalized for medical use. Michigan now joins 15 other states that have
passed laws for consumption of marijuana for medical purposes. Both marijuana and medical
marijuana are the same substance. In this paper I will discuss how the federal government views the
use of marijuana, how doctors argue their case whether they are ... Show more content on

WebMD has an article that lists the psychological effects of marijuana over a short time are: paranoia,
time distortion, anxiety, depression random thoughts, and memory loss. There is also withdrawal in
some patients can include: appetite loss, anxiety, depression, and aggression (Amal Chakraburtty,
2010). These side effects hold true to users of marijuana whether they use it legally with the medical
marijuana card or if they are using this drug without the medical marijuana card.
The federal government does not seem to be changing their laws when it comes to marijuana. Andre
Kratzer makes reference to some doctors that believe marijuana is good for pain reduction, it can
increase appetite, and calms down nausea (Kratzer, 2004). Even though some of the side effects are
negative doctors look at the negatives and positives and weigh them out. If the positive effects are
more of a benefit than the negative then they will suggest medical marijuana for that patient. The list
for benefits of marijuana include but are not limited to cancer patients being treated with
chemotherapy, AIDS patients that have lost their appetite, it is also said to be helpful in the relief of
pain for MS patients, along with helping to slow the progression of glaucoma. However, doctors that
are against the use of marijuana look at the bad side effects and decide that there is no medical

What Is Substantive Conflict
Conflict happens when people do not agree in a public situation which developed resentments creating
a negative atmosphere among people or group (Schermerhorn, 2011). A person might develop
emotional conflict caused by anger, trusting issues and resentment which caused a negative energy
that affects other and becomes distracting (Schermerhorn, 2011). For instance, when an employee that
is having relationship problems outside work, affects their performance. Also, seeking comfort with
other employees can become a stressing situation. In contrast, substantive conflict is related to
achieving goals in the workplace (Schermerhorn, 2011). Dealing with coworkers can be challenging
because of their cultures. For instance, employees might disagree on task assignments, policies, and
rules because of their beliefs (Schermerhorn, 2011).
The problems associated with conflict are ignoring the issues. For instance, if the employee begins to
notice favoritism, his ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This might not seem a conflict, but it became when employees began disagreeing and were
uncomfortable of the living conditions. Also, employees started getting sick and missed two or three
days of work. The situation had to be brought to the owners because we were so behind with our job.
To resolve and avoid future conflict, they bought a lock box where the setting could be changed by
them. Conflict among the workplace might start as nothing but could have negative consequences if is
not addressed in a timely fashion matter.

Nebuchadnezzar s Telepathic Theory
For along as humans have kept a written history there have been stories about extraordinary
occurrences: telepathic dreams in which the dreamer appears to receive the thoughts of another person
or clairvoyant dreams in which the dreamer seemed to be able to observe far away events. Telepathic
and clairvoyant dreams, along with precognition and psychokinesis, have been group together and
called psi by modern day parapsychologists. These instances of psi are described as interactions that
occur between organisms and their environment (this includes other organisms) in which information
or influence is exchanged that has not been able to be explained by through conventional scientific
understanding of sensory motor coordination. They are thought to be strange or unusual since they
appear to occur outside the constraints of time, space, and energy (Krippner, Bogzaran Carvalho,
2002. Page 93).

He was unable to remember the dream so he sent for wizards, astrologers, and diviners, demanding
that they tell him his dream and its interpretation. If they were unable to do so, he threatened to
execute them all. When a prophet Daniel heard of the problem he prayed to his God for the revelation
of the king s dream. It is written that the dream came to him that night. Daniel was able to share the

Social Security Administration
During the Great Depression of the early 1930s a form of Social Security was created but the federal
government was not involved in the support of elderly people and their families, those concerns were
considered to be handled locally or by the state. According to the America s Historical Documents
(n.d.), that changed on August 15, 1935 when president Roosevelt signed the Social Security Act, this
act established a system of old age benefits for workers, benefits for victims of industrial accidents,
unemployment insurance, aid for dependent mothers and children, the blind, and the physically

Along with being approved for these benefits Medicaid benefits are also automatically approved for
the claimants. Even with the Affordable Care Act (ACA) being in place with the potential/ goal of
lowering health care cost the Social Security Administration is adding significantly to the health care
cost by allowing claimants with multiple and sever disabilities the ability to automatically be granted
Medicaid health insurance. This program does not require the claimant or the claimant s parents to pay
into medical services as well as the claimant s parents are not required to be a legal citizen to get
government paid health insurance which means no replenishing of funds. For example if a child
comes on to the SSI program with severe behavioral disorder gets approved for health care benefits
and the parents are illegal aliens that child can still withdraw health care and financial benefits. Now
the Social Security Disability Income (SSDI) is an entitlement program through Social Security, this is
a positive side to SSA. This program is when citizen have paid into their Social Security wages
instead of just withdrawing from the government. For instance a citizen has worked up until the age of
retirement which is 65 years old, with all those years of working that individual has paid into their
benefits and can now withdraw them without solely relying on the government. One of the current

When it came down to Character Chuckie or Tommy best friend in the show its said to be similar to
Composer Mark Mothersbaugh. In the show there a bully known as Angelica, she based on memory of

yet you come to understand her crazy ideas and outcomes toward the other characters in Rugrats. With
these characters in Rugrats in mind, you can t help but feel a connection to them.
The conspiracy theory I found is darker twist in realm of Rugrats. In this theory is based on character
Angelica imaginations. Apparently Angelica was not only having all Rugrats in her head but she is a

  • 2. Marge Piercy s Poem To Be Of Use Through the means of literary devices, Marge Piercy, in her poem To Be of Use, expresses how one should always persevere through life and do hard work. One shouldn t ever simply grumble about their problem, but instead, treat each task with their best work. The author respects those who strain in the mud and muck to move things forward . This particular quote is a purposeful example of alliteration. Mud , and muck , as well as move , all sound similar, much like a tongue twister. Hence, this forces the reader to slow down and focus on that, as if barrelling through the phrase like the hard work described. The metaphor, I love people who harness themselves, an ox to a heavy cart uses the ox versus another animal because of the work ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Napoleon Arsenic Poisoning The cause of death of Napoleon Bonaparte has been debated for many years, with many conflicting reports being released to explain his death. It seems to be a debate between an extensive carcinoma of the stomach complicated by terminal bleeding (disease which had taken the life of several close relatives) or arsenic poisoning (murder). It has been said that he was suffering from intractable vomiting, constipation, hiccupping, possible thrombophlebitis migraines, and weakness among others, only some of which are acute effects of arsenic poisoning.1 Articles had appeared stating that Napoleon was poisoned while on the St. Helena island once arsenic was said to be found in his hair.2 The issue found with this, is the conflicting amounts of concentration ... • 4. The Importance Of Green Fluorescent Protein In the 1960 s, Green Fluorescent Protein was discovered to be responsible for Aequorea victoria s fluorescence under UV light (Niwa et al., 1996). Today, GFP is often used in protein tagging and has made it possible for scientists to study expression and track proteins in vivo. With the rising importance of GFP fusion proteins and other recombinant vectors, the metal affinity of Histidine helps to make the protein purification process easier (Lilius et al., 1991). His tags are commonly used to purify proteins through immobilized metal affinity chromatography (IMAC) (Lilius et al., 1991). This rapid and efficient method separates the recombinant protein from unwanted products such as RNA. The His tag DNA sequence is inserted into the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It is of strong interest to molecular biologists because of the strong light emission of 508 nm under UV light. UV wavelengths excite the fluorophore, contained in the Ser Tyr Gly sequence near GFP s N terminus, and a bright green fluorescence is given off as a result (Niwa et al., 1996). GFP can be successfully tagged to many proteins without disturbing their function (Feilmeier et al., 2000). This allows scientists to exploit the protein for its usefulness in marking proteins in vivo. GFP tagging has many applications. It can be used to study gene expression by inserting gfp after a promotor in the plasmid, so that if expressed, the colony expressing the gene of interest can be identified by a green fluorescence of GFP under UV light (Feilmeier et al., 2000). Specific cellular organelles can be tagged, such as the endoplasmic reticulum, to visualize protein localization and networking inside the living cell. GFP can also be used to monitor cofactor levels within a cell in real time. For example, when GFP was tagged to proteins that contain a receptor sensitive to Ca2+, they interacted in a way so that the fluorescence of the fusion protein was proportional to the calcium ion concentration with less than a 1 second lag in the cell (Romoser et al., 1997). Throughout the decades, GFP mutants have been created to give brighter emission and different wavelengths. Researchers can track separate cell pathways at the same time, since different proteins can ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Balancing Ecosystems Balancing Ecosystems Nasirah Halstead ENV/100 August 25, 2014 Sharon White, Instructor Balancing Ecosystems Dear City Council: I am writing you concerning matters of restoring balance to the city s ecosystem. An ecosystem is a factor in the biological community that consists of occurrences locally, chemical factors, as well as physical, make up the environment non living or abiotic. The unbalanced ecosystem in Sparksville s aquatic system is the situation at hand. The boundaries of this ecosystem are being addressed for reasons having to do with the goal of restoring the lake back to normal. The invasions of Grass Carp have made it almost impossible for the rest of the underwater community to be in existence. The changes in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The leaves of the new plants can contain chemicals that add to the ecosystem problem in the lake. Many more problems can occur within the environment, leaving animals are to feed off of the non native harmful crops, and the chain will go on because humans feed off of animals. Ultimately the entire community can be affected by this Carp problem. Keep in mind it is not the intent of the invasive species to be invasive or they start off being invasive then the ecosystem will find a unique way of bringing everything under control on its own. The ecosystem in town possesses many mechanisms that it needs to keep the whole system equally balanced. The dynamics to help persons in this city strive and restore include predation; the need to prey on other animals is how a species survive, but it should be under control. Conditions and temperature play a large role as well. It is the responsibility of the humans to control the conditions that come into the town by understanding the animals and fish that come into the environment and lake. The environment needs the help and support of the community to be successful. When everyone is working together and not against each other things tend to come together easier because everyone is working towards the same goal and objective. Prairie Dog Festival held each summer celebrates the community s environment awareness. Sparksville is facing a hardship, and the goal is to get things back in order ... • 7. Effects Of A Bad Day Essay Growing up everyone has their own experiences. These range from having your first kiss, to finding out that giraffes may not actually be real. However, no matter how life changing one of these experiences may be, the change doesn t occur overnight. Instead it s a steady process where each single event builds on each other to make an individual who they are. With these experiences come moments of extreme highs as well as extreme lows, and while having a good day is the preference of the many, a bad day is what many of us take for granted. Sukhraj Dhillon explained this concept best when he wrote, Good days give you happiness, and bad days give you experience. This quote rings true for many, however when we are faced with a bad day it often leaves us with much less than a positive mindset. And so today, we ll form a better relationship ... Before lastly wrapping up our day as we established the overall benefits we gain from a bad day. Bad days play an influential role in our lives, and while we wish they didn t exist, without them we wouldn t be where we are today as individuals. Therefore we need to change our perception of bad days from a negative one to a positive one. We also need to recognize that having a bad day has more impact than a good day. Once we come to recognize these facts as well as incorporate them in our lives we ll begin to see bad days as not something that degrades us, but that builds us up. The shift towards seeing bad days as a beneficial experience will both enlighten us, as well as provide us with a better mindset when we are faced by unfavorable challenges. In 2012, they paid nearly $2.8 trillion for healthcare services (Centers for Medicare Medicaid Services. 2012). This represents a tenfold increase in a single generation. Although some of the most expensive medical conditions to treat may not be preventable, there are a myriad of preventable diseases that add to the economic burden that Americans carry each year. When one also considers the rise in childhood obesity rates and other related and non related chronic illnesses, the role of nurses as educators in our schools and communities has become critical to the continued success of our nation. In 2009, data were collected by the National Youth Risk Behavior Survey (YRBS) that clearly demonstrated the relationship between health risk behaviors and academic achievement in high school students. Students with higher grades were less likely to engage in health risk behaviors such as cigarette smoking, alcohol use, unhealthy diets, and increased sexual activity. Unfortunately, the statistics reported by Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) for health risk behaviors in American adults were grim. In 2012, 42 million adults reported that they smoked cigarettes and nearly 47% of American adults have at least one major risk factor for heart disease or stroke. Income inequality between the rich and the poor continues to be a significant concern in the United States, prompting national headlines and serious political debate regarding governmental policy. Historically, economies based on capitalism tend to have a pro business stance, implementing pro business policies to spur economic growth (Zinn, 2010). The typical role of the labor union has been to help improve economic equality between workers and the companies that employ them; however, unions have also helped their members pursue political action and influence the electoral process to achieve their aims as well (Hodson Sullivan, 2008). In addition, when work moves to developing countries, there is an impact on the workers in developed countries that lose their jobs to lower cost labor pools; namely costs that are transferred to the public sector like unemployment or retraining for workers (Bibby, 2004). To more effectively deal with issues raised by multinationals operating in an integrated global economy, there are a growing number of international labor organizations including UNI Global Union, a global union that represents 900 trade unions and 20 million workers ( UNI Global Union, 2011). There are several advantages in using a global, federated approach to labor unions, namely a larger pool of workers that provide the basis for union influence, greater coordination on issues that span national boundaries and the resulting ability to influence the policy and business decisions of large multinationals. The most significant disadvantage to a global, federated approach to unions is the increased scope and complexity of problem that arises from the requirement to represent a large diverse constituency with diverse needs. Common favorites range from American, to Italian, to Chinese, and for me, Mexican. I spent one year in Arkansas at Little Rock and found the best Mexican restaurant in the area. Currently, I have tried eight different Mexican restaurants, which include both Tex Mex and Authentic Mexican Restaurants. I picked my top four favorite authentic Mexican restaurants to review and critique based on price, menu, service, house salsa, and appearance to help peoples, as future customers, decide which restaurant is the best choice for them. For all four restaurants none of them are entirely overpriced. In terms of bang, buck Riviera Maya is best option. He/she pay $8 $9 for a quality burrito that he/she can only finish about half of. Topic of Inquiry It is important for managers to understand the sources of power and influence as they must rely upon the cooperation of subordinates in order to be successful. Strong managers rely upon more than just authority they also use leadership skills and power to obtain the most productivity from their staff. According to French and Raven (1959) there are five sources of power. Referent power seems to be the most influential and the least affected by change. They know the aspirations, fears, capabilities, and attitudes (Henderson Moskos, 1985, p. 112) of others and they help people feel capable and good about themselves (DuBrin, 1995). These traits help to create friendship and over a longer period of time loyalty. 4.) Being a good role model / Being trustworthy. In order to have people drawn to you it is important that they respect you. Being a good role model, being truthful and being trustworthy will reinforce that respect. How is it used? Referent power can be used to influence opinion because it can create conscious or unconscious acceptance of the agent s opinion with little or no question. It can also be used to influence behaviors. As stated by Locke (2003) When identification is strong, imitation [of the agent s behavior] is likely to occur even without any conscious effort (p. 247) to influence. One Artist, recognized for his iconic impressionistic still life work, is Edouard Manet (1832 1883). Manet is revered for being a key instigator in the transition from realism to impressionism; his still life impressionism works were amongst those considered the genesis of the impressionist movement in the late 19th Century. Manet was raised in Paris, to affluent family. Upon failure to make it into the Navy, Manet began to find his love for art and painting. Manet s work The Melon (c.1880), a still life painting of a single watermelon, encapsulates this historical movement of still life paintings. Manet s titular work The Melon s solitary subject matter is a watermelon. The composition of this painting is simple, a trait of Manet s which developed along side his journey into impressionism. Despite being a journey that was heavily criticized, it is the style and nuance of Manet s melon, which sets it apart from traditional still life images. The melon is isolated. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In chapter 11 Postman gives examples of people who resist the American Technopoly. An example of a resistance fighter is a person who ignores a poll unless they know the questions asked and why. As Postman introduced in chapter 8 ( Invisible Technologies ), the form of a question can produce many different answers. It may also restrict us from seeing solutions to problems that may become visible through a question worded differently. Postman shares the story of two priests who write the Pope asking if it was allowable to smoke and pray at the same time. One priest phrased the question Is it permissible to smoke while praying? and the response was no because praying should be the focus of ones attention; the other priest asked Is it permissible to pray while smoking? and the response was yes, since it is always appropriate to pray. The opinion of almost any issue is a function of the question asked. In the American Technopoly the opinion poll is a strict yes or no answer to an unexamined question. One is therefore unable to share their knowledge and is easily mislead to answer a question in a certain way. Another example of a resistance fighter is a person who does not allow psychology or any social science to pre empt the language and thought of common sense. To resolve and avoid future conflict, they bought a lock box where the setting could be changed by them. Conflict among the workplace might start as nothing but could have negative consequences if is not addressed in a timely fashion matter. References Anthony, Leigh. (2016). Nebuchadnezzar s Telepathic Theory For along as humans have kept a written history there have been stories about extraordinary occurrences: telepathic dreams in which the dreamer appears to receive the thoughts of another person or clairvoyant dreams in which the dreamer seemed to be able to observe far away events. Telepathic and clairvoyant dreams, along with precognition and psychokinesis, have been group together and called psi by modern day parapsychologists. These instances of psi are described as interactions that occur between organisms and their environment (this includes other organisms) in which information or influence is exchanged that has not been able to be explained by through conventional scientific understanding of sensory motor coordination. They are thought to be strange or unusual since they appear to occur outside the constraints of time, space, and energy (Krippner, Bogzaran Carvalho, 2002. Page 93). Telepathic ... The ancient Babylonian King, Nebuchadnezzar, awoke one morning after what experiencing what he felt was a divine dream. He was unable to remember the dream so he sent for wizards, astrologers, and diviners, demanding that they tell him his dream and its interpretation. If they were unable to do so, he threatened to execute them all. When a prophet Daniel heard of the problem he prayed to his God for the revelation of the king s dream. Analysis of a Stakeholder Michelle Robinson 5/29/16 HCA255 Orazie Slayton Social Security Administration During the Great Depression of the early 1930s a form of Social Security was created but the federal government was not involved in the support of elderly people and their families, those concerns were considered to be handled locally or by the state. According to the America s Historical Documents (n.d.), that changed on August 15, 1935 when president Roosevelt signed the Social Security Act, this act established a system of old age benefits for workers, benefits for victims of industrial accidents, unemployment insurance, aid for dependent mothers and children, the blind, and the physically handicapped (America s Historical Documents, n.d.). Now the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Along with being approved for these benefits Medicaid benefits are also automatically approved for the claimants. Even with the Affordable Care Act (ACA) being in place with the potential/ goal of lowering health care cost the Social Security Administration is adding significantly to the health care cost by allowing claimants with multiple and sever disabilities the ability to automatically be granted Medicaid health insurance. This program does not require the claimant or the claimant s parents to pay into medical services as well as the claimant s parents are not required to be a legal citizen to get government paid health insurance which means no replenishing of funds. For example if a child comes on to the SSI program with severe behavioral disorder gets approved for health care benefits and the parents are illegal aliens that child can still withdraw health care and financial benefits. Now the Social Security Disability Income (SSDI) is an entitlement program through Social Security, this is a positive side to SSA. This program is when citizen have paid into their Social Security wages instead of just withdrawing from the government. For instance a citizen has worked up until the age of retirement which is 65 years old, with all those years of working that individual has paid into their benefits and can now withdraw them without solely relying on the government. One of the current initiatives the Social Security Agency is ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

When it came down to Character Chuckie or Tommy best friend in the show its said to be similar to Composer Mark Mothersbaugh. In the show there a bully known as Angelica, she based on memory of Paul s the producer of Rugrats, of his childhood bully. Each person that made a impact on there lives have such influence on them, they made characters that are based on there actions. Angelica is a bully, yet you come to understand her crazy ideas and outcomes toward the other characters in Rugrats. With these characters in Rugrats in mind, you can t help but feel a connection to them. The conspiracy theory I found is darker twist in realm of Rugrats. In this theory is based on character Angelica imaginations. Apparently Angelica was not only having all Rugrats in her head but she is a paranoid schizophrenic(loses based of reality). Chuckie died along with his mother, that the reason why chuckie s father Chaz is a wreak and tends breakdown with his nerves over whelming him. Then there is Tommy he is actual a stillborn, or son that didn t get to be born. Due to the fact of Tommy, his father Stu pickles he couldn t help be depressed and obsessed on making toys in basement where for son he will never have.
